The one day trip in Lopburi with the budget of 300 THB and using public transportation only.

*****During the holiday, my companions and I design to go to Lopburi province because it is not too far from Bangkok. We can go there by train, bus or van. We design to go by the van from Bangkok and come back by train.

Due to we go there during rainy season so there are less places to visit. The best period to visit Lopburi is in the winter.

On that day, we take the van from Victory Monument (120 THB per person). It takes us about 2 hours to get there.

***** The van stops at Phra Prang Sam Yot.

Let's starting with Pad Thai 20 THB at Somdet Phra Narai National Museum to reboot our energy. The restaurant is on the right side of the entrance gate.

After that the first that we visit is Somdet Phra Narai National Museum.

Operation time of the museum

Entrance fee 30 THB for Thais but for foreigners I am not sure. It is very valuable to visit, there are so many things for you to see and learn here. It is like an ancient city in Ayutthaya.

Alright, let's get in>>>

This green building is the office we cannot get in but we can take a photo in the front.

The map of the museum

We choose to visit the museum first because in the afternoon is very hot then go to Phra Prang Sam Yot when the sun down.

The museum has 2 gates, the first one is in the front beside the road and the second one is for entry to the museum.

This is the first gate>>>

And the second gate after payment

This is in the front...wow wow wow!!!

Everything go green in rainy season

Inside, there are exhibition of ancient items, damaged palace area and traditional way of life of Lopburi people.

I will not go into details, I would like you all to visit for yourself (I guarantee your expectation).

Let's start>>>

This is Kao Raek where is the check-point when people are in and out.

Next...

Then go to the exhibition hall

There are 3 exhibition buildings.

After that we visit the old palace which is already damaged.

There is a souvenir shop at the gate that you can stop by.

After that we can walk around to see historical site that they still preserve for next generation to visit.

***** One thing is there is no support for conservative traveling, no information point, or even tourist attraction map. If they do have, I do apologize because I do not seem to see any or may be it is on holiday so they do not provide. I just would like the problems that I have faced to get improve perhaps this can be a new landmark in the future.

The other point to visit

People here are nice and kind and food is delicious.

After that we are going to Phra Prang Sam Yot and Phra Kal Shrine which is the important point of this city. Both of them are closed to each other just cross the road.

We are waiting the free train to go back at 17.30hrs. so we have to well manage our time.

At Phra Prang Sam Yot, the entrance fee for Thais is 10 THB for foreigners I am not sure.

You have to be careful with the monkeys here, try not to disturb or make them scare because they will jump on you.

Caution: Try to keep your food, and be careful if you wear necklace or glasses because these monkey really like it and they will jump on you. They will not hurt us, if we do not disturb them.

"Do you want to fight with me???"^^

Pray for luckiness at Phra Kal Shrine

After that it is time to catch the train. We wait for the train at the old temple which is in front of the train station. The temple close at 16.30hrs. so we do not have that much time there.

If you stay overnight, you can visit the evening market near by the railways where monkeys will not interfere with your food.

Before leaving, there is a very big Plumeria tree as you can see that they put some supporting poles to help stabilize the tree.

Goodbye the city of monkey.... Lopburi...Lawoe old town...

Get to go home...

Where shell we go for the next journey????...Will see^^
