Do you remember when was the last time you visited a planetarium? For us, it was during our elementary school days, which was probably 15 years ago... We probably won't get to visit one again until we start working.

In January 2016, the planetarium unveiled a new 4K digital star projector, along with a Digistar 5 digital system from the United States. We think it's about time we paid it another visit ^_^

We arrived at around 11.20 am (there is parking both inside the planetarium and outside. In the morning there may be parking - no parking fee)

BTS to Ekkamai station, then take exit 2 and walk towards Ekkamai bus station. It's a short walk, about 5 minutes.

The bus routes are 2, 25, 38, 40, 72, 501, 511, 513, 508.

When we arrived, we headed straight to buy tickets... There weren't many people in the queue and we got tickets for the 12.00 pm show (they must have added an extra show because there wasn't a midday show when I looked it up). On weekdays, there are 2 shows: 11.00 am and 2.00 pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, there are 4 shows: 11.00 am, 1.00 pm, 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm.

We got our tickets: 30 baht for adults and 20 baht for students (seats are not allocated, so it's first-come first-served). You only need to buy one ticket and you can see everything!!!

With 30 minutes to spare before the show, we walked into the science building, which was right next to the ticket booth.

In here, there are also devices that provide scientific knowledge, including astronomical data.

Let's get a little bit excited. It's boring to know too much, right? The picture below shows a lot of people watching, but I have to tell you that no one is actually playing. They are just watching. 555+

It's like a slide, but it's vertical and you will reach the ground within a fraction of a second. That means faster than 1 second!!!

I came in and was still confused. They were all looking for seats. I didn't want to fight with anyone, so I went to the front...

But...but it was so tiring, so I agreed to sit separately from my sister and went to sit in the back instead : )

I recommend you to come early and choose the back seats (It is a dome-shaped, semi-circular. If you sit in the front row, you will have to lie down 180 degrees to see the entire cover)

They will start telling stories about stars, how to watch stars... and then it's time for us to imagine, just like we used to do when we were kids.

The screening time is about 50 minutes (just right. If it were any longer, my neck would be a little stiff : )

Overall, everything was good, except the chairs didn't recline much (but they were comfortable, like the chairs in a movie theater). The air conditioning was cool and comfortable. I recommend that if you have free time, you should try it. You won't be disappointed. ^_^
