Chiangmai Day4 : Khanom Jeen Buffet at Baan Jed Yod-Chiangmai Zoo Aquarium-The Bistrorante-TCDC(Chiang Mai)-Miyazaki(Maya)-Chiang Mai Airport-Don Mueang

I woke up a little late this morning because I stayed at Myst quite late last night.

Sitting and talking and exchanging experiences with Pin, the owner of Myst, gave me a lot of ideas on how to look at the business.

Of course, if I get to return to Chiang Mai again, I will definitely go back to MYst again.

I'm starting to get hungry. I asked my friend what to eat.

My friend told me that the other day he drove past a buffet-style rice noodle restaurant in this area and invited me to try it out.

I immediately agreed because I was hungry at that time and could eat anything.

This restaurant is called "Khao Chin Buffet Baan Jed Yod" and is conveniently located at the Jed Yod intersection.

The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere with dozens of tables. The pavilion where we sat was made of wood and had a high ceiling, so it didn't feel cramped even though it was crowded.

The way of eating here is quite strange. We pay 79 baht at the counter.

We will then get a plate to cut the rice noodles to eat. Because there are no plates available near the food. You have to pay here first.

As for water, if it's plain water, it's free and there's a water dispenser. But if you want to drink other drinks like herbal water or soda, you have to buy them yourself.

The rice noodles come with 5-6 different sauces, but I didn't try them all. I only had the coconut curry sauce, which was delicious.

For those who love Khanom Jeen and enjoy trying different flavors, this restaurant might be your new favorite, just like my friends. However, I can only eat one type, so I'm indifferent.

If you're staying near Maya in Nimmanhaemin Soi or are passing by Wat Chet Yot to pay respects, you can stop by this restaurant.

After that, I went for a walk at Chiang Mai Zoo, but my real purpose for going there today was the Chiangmai Zoo Aquarium, as I had an appointment with a zoo official.

Today, my brother will take me on a tour of the Aquarium and explain the different sections in detail.

The journey begins at "Chiangmai zoo aquarium".

Chiang Mai Zoo is located near Chiang Mai University, on the same road as Doi Suthep Temple. It is not far from the city center.

Upon arrival, we have to purchase an entrance ticket. However, the ticket offers various options depending on what you want to see. If you only want to visit the zoo, the ticket price is lower. If you want to enjoy additional privileges, the price will be higher.

The purpose of my visit this time is the Aquarium. From looking at the map, I saw that it was inside the zoo. So instead of walking, I took the tram that was parked in front of the zoo to the Aquarium.

Upon arriving at the Aquarium, we will encounter a large pool with a bridge leading to the Aquarium building. Inside, there are clearly defined freshwater and saltwater zones. There are animal feeding shows and underwater performances by divers. Be sure to check the schedule carefully.

During my journey through this aquatic world, I gained a wealth of knowledge from the informative staff. Some of the facts they shared were truly eye-opening, things I had never heard before.

These officers have been with these animals for many months. They can tell you that this snake is normally this color, why it is this color today, or if it has just shed its skin. Some fish we don't know about. They told me that the lionfish is very dangerous. It has venom that can paralyze you if you get stung. This is just less than 1% of the information I heard from the officers.

If you want to gain knowledge, it's like traveling to another world, another group of knowledge that I've never known before at an affordable price. You can come to Chiangmai Zoo Aquarium and the next place I will travel to is "TCDC Chiangmai".

I took a red car from the front of Chiang Mai Zoo through the moat to go to TCDC.

The red car stopped beyond my destination, forcing me to walk back. Along the way, I felt hungry. I realized that I hadn't eaten lunch yet, even though it was already three in the afternoon. As I was about to reach TCDC, which was less than 100 meters away, I saw a coffee shop on my right.

At that moment, I didn't know if it was famous or not, delicious or not. I just knew that I wanted a cold, sweet drink.

The restaurant I walked into was called "The Bistrorante".

This shop wasn't my original destination, but I was very impressed. The owner used to be a tour guide before deciding to open a coffee shop with his friends in Chiang Mai. He's not originally from Chiang Mai, but from Bangkok.

We sat and talked about the cities we had visited. This is the charm of backpacking, meeting and exchanging perspectives with people we've never met before.

The food here is top-notch. I ordered the carbonara, and wow! The cheese was so fragrant and the flavor was rich and delicious. I can't even describe it, but all I can say is that this was one of the best meals I've had on this trip. You have to try the pasta at this restaurant. It's absolutely amazing!

After that, I walked to the TCDC, the Center for Design and Creativity. When I was in Bangkok, I never thought of going there. In Bangkok, it's on the 5th floor of the Emporium. When I came to Chiang Mai, I wanted to see it. I wanted to know what kind of events they had. I walked around for about half an hour, and I think I saw everything. I walked out, thinking it wasn't for me.

Before returning to Bangkok, I stopped by Miyazaki restaurant, a branch of MK Restaurant in Maya department store, before returning on a Nok Air flight as usual.

Before the end of the trip, let me explain a little bit. The reason why there are only a few photos is because my phone was submerged in water during Songkran.

All the photos I took were lost before I could transfer them to my computer. I'll try to transfer them to my computer faster next time.

All the photos you see were taken with an iPhone 6. I didn't use any expensive cameras. I just focused on getting the most out of what I had.

Trip ends...
