It's a sad story, isn't it? Many people will probably have a long weekend of 4-5 days.
But I have only one day off!!! But it's not a problem. I can travel in one day. Wake up a little early.
As usual, I went on a trip with a small budget. I had a little money, so I went for a walk with a friend.
This time, we chose to go to a province that is not too far from Bangkok. It takes almost 2 hours to get there.
The main issue is that there is a free train. . . .
:: The Prophecy ::
Many people may have forgotten this city... because they think it is just a city of passage, a city with charm... going back in time... the way of life of the community that still exists with the city of passage that I don't want to forget... with this place... Photharam City, Ratchaburi Province
Let's travel together. I will show you that money is not an excuse for travel.
Please visit our page: Not a few baht, I will take you to travel for not a few baht.

Let's start traveling.
Let's meet at Thon Buri Railway Station.
We will take the 255 train from Thon Buri to Lang Suan, which departs at 7:30 am. We bought tickets to get off at Photharam Railway Station. It's a free train. While waiting for the train to depart, we took some photos. Even though the temperature was over 40 degrees, it wasn't even 8 am yet.
If you're ready to go, let's go.
The sound of the bell. Hey!!! The bell. The captain's voice announced that Train 255 had arrived at the platform, and it was time for the train to depart.
On this trip... I'm posing with my friend.
The weather is getting better and better. Even though it's hot, I feel like the weather is actually getting cooler. Or maybe I'm just imagining it.
Hey guys, I'm hungry. If someone was selling grilled pork, that would be great. Grilled pork, please! Grilled pork, please! Cut to grilled pork... Order as you wish.
4 skewers for 20 baht, sticky rice for 5 baht. After a while, this is it. Grilled rice with gravy for 10 baht. But there's only half an egg. 5555 But it's enough to fill me up.
But this......sir, is a memorable picture during my trip.
I saw a lovely elderly couple. The grandpa was holding a straw for the grandma to drink water. It was such a heartwarming sight. I apologize for the blurry picture, I took it secretly. They were truly adorable. True love still exists.
A little after 10 am, we arrived at Photharam. The boatman announced, "This is Photharam, this is Photharam." So, we arrived at Photharam. Huh... P-h-o-t-h-a-r-a-m.
Actually, this time I came to Photharam, I planned a lot. Where to go.
There are... coffee shops, milk shops, old communities, Don't Forget Photharam Club... temples of Photharam. The highlight is Mae Lek's black tofu, an ancient recipe. But..... it's all over the place. I'm standing here looking at the map... Hey, big guy, I'm confused.
But now I'm really hungry. Should we go to Mae Lek's Tofu Shop? . . .
I think I'm lost. I opened Google Maps to find Mama Lek's Tofu Shop.
I'm still confused. I opened Google Maps but couldn't find it. I had to search for "Ratchadaphisek Road".
We walked for a while, and then we took a left turn. This is the same path we took before. To put it simply, after getting off the train, we walked to the first alley and continued straight ahead on Ratchadaphisek Road. I ended up walking around the entire lower market. ... .. . Now, let's get down to business. There are three main markets in Photharam: the lower market, the middle market, and the upper market. The lower market is the one right in front of the train station. The middle market is the fresh market at the clock tower. The upper market is the area with the ancient community. This is where I'm headed.
Cut to the scene at Mae Lek's black tofu shop. I didn't take any pictures because I was hungry, so I just dug in. Each piece was 20 baht.
Auntie, I'll take one piece, please cut it. Auntie is very kind, I must say. You can go in and see, young man ....
And then went to sit and watch the aunt make tofu ....
This taste is like the tofu in the stew, but it's strange. How strange? Come and try it yourself. Only here at Photharam….
Let's find something cool to eat. Let's find a coffee shop.
The old shop.
If you come to Photharam, there will be a main road. You have to observe it carefully. 555 Just walk along the road for a while.
Found it, the shop is called Gาลนาน.
It's a very cute shop, decorated in a kind of artsy way. The owner is super friendly.
Come and visit Mapo Dhammaram. It's a long-standing shop with affordable prices. For 30-40 baht, you can enjoy a variety of toasted bread with different toppings.
Some days there is steak too. Anyway, try to follow the menu here.

Let's take a look at the store decoration. ..
Alley name, please.
It was edible. After a while, I asked, "Where is the ancient community?"
Clear. I will summarize it for you briefly.
This ancient community doesn't have anything like that. It just has ordinary houses like this. (Oh...)
Potharam is a small town with shops and businesses like any other normal town. Where did you read that? I'm from Potharam and I haven't seen anything like that.
555555+ The city conversation is over. Oh... then where can I go? !!!!!
My brother printed out a map for me. It's a 100-year-old building. Haha, there's no such thing.
My brother suggested that we visit the temple first, as it's hot and sunny around noon and afternoon.
This place also has Wat Khongkharam, a museum of old things. There is also some kind of energy here. Try going to see it.
At Wat Khanon, you can watch shadow puppet shows. In the late afternoon, head to Ba Mee Jab Kang for delicious noodles. Then, capture the sunset at the beautiful Photharam Bridge by the river.
There are two ways to get there. They are:
1. Yellow public songthaews in Photharam. They come infrequently.
2. Free bicycle rentals are available at the Doonum Shop.
Once you have all the answers, sit back and relax, and then continue your journey.
But why is there an ancient community here T T
Get a free bike at Doนม shop.
Just walk out of the alley and you'll see the sign. It's not far.
I was going to get my bike, but it felt weird, so I'll just have a glass of water.
Bicycle rental is free here. Just exchange 1 ID card and return it before 8 pm because the shop is closed.
Okay, now that we have our bikes, let's head to Wat Khongkharam. According to the map, it's about 3 kilometers away.
No problem, but the problem is that the bike is not in very good condition. The tires are flat and the seat is crooked.
I rode for a while and then found a shop that could pump up my tires. I went in and asked, "How much, uncle?" "Oh, it's nothing. Don't worry about it," the uncle replied. "Thank you, uncle," I said.
After a while, we arrived at
Wat Khongkharam
However, the museum of antiques is closed. It is open on Saturdays and Sundays. But when I arrived, I could feel it right away.
No problem, then let's go worship the Buddha instead.
However, I encountered something at this place. Wat Kongkaram . . ..
There is a cat here. … The murals here are very beautiful.
Before I left, I took a picture with my friend. Before going to Wat Khanon.
Continue cycling to Wat Khanon, a distance of approximately 5 kilometers.
I've been cycling for ages, why is it so far? I'm not there yet T T
Lost, dude. Open Google Maps and check it out.
You're on the right track, but it's really a long way. The road seems to be in a village, and there's no sign of a temple.
But it has arrived.
This temple also has a small water shop where you can wash your face, eyes, and rest. Drink some cold water to relax and then go for a walk around the temple.
There are locals too.
Shadow Puppet Museum of Wat Khanon
In front of the temple, there are beautiful yellow Ratchaphruek trees in full bloom.
There is a pavilion by the road for relaxation, and it is also by the river.
I went to sit and relax, take some pictures and play around. I just went with the flow.
Children are having fun playing in the water. This is how it is. When we see something happy, we feel happy too.
The road in front of the temple is quite shady, as there are a lot of trees.
Let's see the view by the river.
And for this trip, I must thank the owner of the Gananan shop for recommending the route and delicious tea. And one thing, if I didn't have this, I wouldn't have made it to Photharam.
The bike that took me to many places, oh, I almost forgot. If there was no trip, it would be quiet and lonely. If there were no friends to come.
