On the subject of life in today's society ... 3 things that are trending

1 Slow life = Live life slowly

2 Clean food = Eat healthy, nutritious, moderate, and clean food.

3 Eco-tourism = Nature-based tourism

This trip was made possible by three things: living a slow and unhurried life, eating healthy food, and enjoying nature-based tourism in line with local customs.

Here in Pua, Nan Province … with this trip Travel, Eat, Run (The pictures may be in green tones, as we went during the time when the rice fields were about to sprout, lush green, refreshing, so much fun ^_^ )

The plan was to arrive in Pua District in the morning, and we did just that as the sun was rising. Our first mission was to find the morning market and indulge in some local cuisine. We wandered through the market, each of us picking out our favorite treats, and then gathered at a coffee shop to enjoy our feast. (Apologies, but hunger got the better of us, and we couldn't resist digging in before taking any photos. Haha!)

Next, head to Phuket Temple, a spot offering stunning views of the terraced rice fields. The viewing platform provides panoramic vistas of the vast rice fields, with the Doi Phu Kha National Park mountains serving as a picturesque backdrop. Phuket Temple is situated on a small hill, and many wonder why a temple in Nan Province is named after Phuket. According to locals, the temple is located in the Get village and sits atop a hill, hence the name "Phuket Temple." The temple also offers a Temple Stay program for those who wish to stay and practice meditation. This essentially means staying at the temple itself, which is a brilliant idea. Practicing meditation amidst the beautiful and serene views can enhance concentration and improve meditation results.

Proud to present the lush green rice fields as far as the eye can see :)

Haha, I haven't washed my face yet. Hehe.

I don't know what the villagers are carrying. :)

Walking down to see the Temple Stay rooms, there are 4 floors located under the temple, making the temple courtyard a rooftop. I might have the chance to come here for a meditation retreat sometime. The view from the room overlooks this rice field, but I forgot to take a picture of the room, haha.

Walk down to the rice field and enjoy the view.

Chill, chill

As if walking on a catwalk

Different perspectives ^_^

Still walking on the green carpet ^^

Father and son bond, little brother Augustus, a young traveler who follows his father, Mr. Eak, everywhere. His nickname is Augustus 77 provinces. Currently, he has probably traveled to almost 50 provinces already, right?

Okay, I'm enjoying the rice fields in the late morning. That's enough for now. I'll come back tomorrow morning to try again (if I can wake up, hehe).

I forgot to mention that the pictures I posted earlier were taken in a rice field in Pua. We arrived in the morning and went straight to the field. I hadn't washed my face or brushed my teeth, but I was still happy and my skin was glowing. ^^,

On this trip, we had the help of a local cat from Pua, who volunteered to take us around, feed us, and even let us take a shower at his house in the morning. The cat is a senior friend of my younger brother on this trip. He moved back to work at home in public health administration at Pua Municipality. He is lovely and kind. From the picture below, the cat is the one on the far right. As for the 2 people on the left, they are my younger sister. Hehe, I managed to sneak into the gang.

(Thanks for the clothes from Lamduan woven fabric shop in Pua district. I bought them for 180 baht per set. They are beautiful in a local style.)

After showering at P'Meow's place, let's go shopping for local clothes at Lamduan Pha To. They sell clothes, woven fabrics with flowing water patterns, Tai Lue style, and a variety of fabrics to choose from. The prices are between 150-300 baht per piece, which is not expensive at all. We had fun choosing and trying on clothes, and we each got one or two sets. Some of us even wore them out, like the two people on the top left, hehe.

The grandmother is sewing clothes behind the shop.

And behind the Lamduan woven fabric shop, there is a Ban Tai Lue coffee shop decorated in the style of the Tai Lue community mixed with Lanna. There are corners to sit and drink coffee in huts with thatched roofs, surrounded by rice fields with mountain views. You can choose to sit, stand, or walk around as you like.

She wants to go solo.

Two more (please, please, with a voice following)

Please, stop. You haven't gotten up yet. 555+

Finally, from the solo photo, we got a group photo as you can see. There were voices calling out to get in the camera, "Me too, me too!" It fit perfectly in the frame ^^.

Let's go! It's noon and we're starting to get hungry. We went to a small roadside papaya salad restaurant and ordered a variety of salads: crab salad, fermented fish salad, cucumber salad, Thai salad, and grilled chicken. We started with just a few chickens, but ended up with 5 or 6. There were 13 of us eating, and we got a little carried away. I couldn't take any pictures, sorry grilled chicken! T_T

Next, we'll head to Baan Huanaam Mushroom Farm for some delicious mushrooms. It's easy to find, just follow the signs and ask the locals. ^_^ Baan Huanaam Mushroom Farm has a mushroom farm, a restaurant, and accommodation. Not far from here, you'll find Wang Sila Laeng, a stream that has eroded through the crevices of the mountains. Before we head there, we'll grab some snacks for a light afternoon break. We'll try the recommended dishes: mushroom pizza, mushroom salad, and mushroom soup. I'm sure we'll be hungry after our walk to Wang Sila Laeng, even though we just had grilled chicken. Hehe.

Following the signs from the mushroom farm at Ban Hua Nam to Wang Sila Lang, there is a slight uphill climb before you reach Wang Sila Lang as seen here.

During the dry season, the water level is low, allowing access to the bottom.

When visiting nature, please help preserve it and do not litter.

What is that pointing at?

Walking back to the Mushroom Farm Restaurant in Ban Hu Na, there were postcards of Wang Sila Lang Palace for sale. During the dry season, it will be as shown in the picture.

The food is ready, let's dig in... Delicious

After a satisfying late afternoon break, we headed to our accommodation. But before reaching our destination, we stopped by the local market to buy fresh ingredients and ready-made dishes to cook ourselves. For dinner, we had grilled fish, chicken curry, spicy minced pork salad, and papaya salad, for which we brought our own fermented fish sauce from home.

We have arrived at tonight's accommodation, a house built by Uncle Sakorn as a homestay. It has one large room with a fan and two smaller rooms with air conditioning. The house is raised on stilts, providing a cool and airy space underneath. There is also an area for cooking, but there is no kitchen.

We originally called to book a homestay at Baan Ta Ngon, but it wasn't available because a group had already booked the whole house. Baan Ta Ngon recommended another house, which is a relative's house, Uncle Sakorn's house. It's a bit further away, but we thought it would be good to spread the income and share the market. The whole house can be rented for 2,000 baht per night and can accommodate 13 people comfortably. If you're interested, you can call 0871824561.

We prepared the ingredients for cooking, borrowed a stove and other equipment from Uncle Sakorn, and got started right away. We built a fire, washed the vegetables, chopped the vegetables, chopped the chicken, and chopped the papaya.

Help cook together

Cheer up the papaya salad. I must say it's super spicy. The papaya salad is pounded in a stone mortar and then put in a bag and shaken. It can be called "Bag Salad", a competitor to "Tray Salad".

The tasting unit tastes until it's full :)

The food looks delicious. Som tam, mushroom salad and chicken curry. Cooking your own food not only gives you the taste you want, but it's also fun to prepare, cook, taste and practice your cooking skills. It's fun, helps each other and doesn't cause diarrhea. Hehe.

A face full of contentment, happiness, and pride in one's own work, even if it's just washing vegetables ^^,

This trip was a clean eating experience. The food was delicious, clean, high quality, and included all five food groups. I ate everything! Hehe.

After a satisfying meal and some light conversation, we drifted off to sleep, exhausted. The next morning, we decided to go for a run from our accommodation to the Phuket temple. According to GPS, the distance was 7 kilometers, which seemed manageable. We agreed to start at 6 am for those who wanted to run. Those who preferred to sleep in could still join us at the temple, but they would have to drive. We figured running back might be a bit much, so we decided to take a car back. We had all been told to bring our running shoes, and everyone did, without fail.

How did we get here from the picture? We came to visit in running shoes. From having to wake up early to watch the sunrise, we also ran. It's good, I got more value. ^_^

The scene cuts to the morning. We wake each other up, and by the time we start running out of the house, it's almost 6:30 AM. We're just in time, not too late. The sun is shining gently.

Along the way, I saw signs for many homestay accommodations. On the right side, there were houses in the middle of the field.

The atmosphere is amazing. The sun is shining gently. Little August woke up and went for a run with us. She's so tough. Her dad is a bit of a sadist, but she has to learn for herself. 7 kilometers, she can do it, right?

Running through the village, greeting the villagers returning from making merit at the temple.

Across the stream

And then we arrived at the Phuket temple. The app said it was only 5 kilometers away, but it still took an hour to run. We walked, ran, and relaxed, enjoying the view. We finally arrived. Even thoughน้องออกัส might have been tired and needed to be carried by her father, she still made it. Amazing! Great job!

After resting, they continued running and walking through the rice fields.

Sergeant Choey is here too.

The sun is starting to come out in the late morning.

These two ladies, left and right, didn't run but came by car to pick us up.

There is nothing in the rice field…

We gathered at the temple courtyard, listening to the history of Wat Phukhao and Pua district. P'Meow was the one who told us the story. I remember some parts, but not all of them. ^^ I'll come back and tell you a brief summary later.

And then Meow bought Khao Lam from Mae Pen Silapen, a famous Khao Lam shop in Pua district, as a gift. This shop is very popular and delicious. Coconut milk rice, custard filling, many people order it. Meow bought a little bit of it, just enough to taste it. It's really delicious.

This is the end of my trip. After that, I went to find khao soi and fresh coffee in Nan city, and then returned to Bangkok.

It can be considered as a way of life that goes with the current trend. It is to be.

Slow life = Live life slowly

Clean food = Eating healthy, nutritious, moderate, and clean food

Eco - tourism = Ecotourism

One of the most important things in life is Exercise to stay healthy. No matter how much money you have, you can't buy good health. We need to take care of ourselves, for ourselves and for the people we love. Just moving is like exercising. Let's go! ...
