Hello, this is the first post where I'm reviewing a trip from actual, serious travel because I think it might be useful for people who are planning to go or are looking for a budget-friendly travel trip. Actually, I've had the opportunity to travel both domestically and internationally quite a bit.

I've been traveling for a while now, but I've never written a review because I usually travel in a relaxed way and don't collect as many places as others. My photos aren't very good either, and my expenses tend to get out of hand. I don't have any budget-saving tips that would be helpful to others. ^ ^ Hehe

This trip was very impressive, and I would like to review it as a way to record my memories and share my experiences and small joys in the Pantip area. Thank you, Memories Pink, for the great information that helped me follow in your footsteps. ^ ^

The trip started with the intention of visiting my mother in Hat Yai during the long weekend before Songkran. I then took her on a trip and bought AirAsia tickets to pick her up in Hat Yai. However, I didn't get a good deal on the tickets as they were quite expensive. This was because I was traveling from Bangkok on Saturday, April 4th, which is a public holiday (Chakri Day). As a result, the ticket prices were quite high. However, it was still better than traveling during Songkran when there would be a lot of people returning home. So, I chose to travel during the middle of the week, from April 7th to 10th. This allowed me to take a long break, including the Songkran holiday. In total, I used 4 days of leave but got to enjoy a 12-day vacation. I was super happy about that!

I'm taking an early morning flight. I'll board the plane at 6:40 AM and arrive at Hat Yai Airport at 8:00 AM. I chose this flight so that I could catch the 9:30 AM bus and arrive in Penang during the day, giving me more time to explore. It's actually possible to make it. After landing at 8:00 AM, even with a slight delay in baggage claim, I could still make it to the van near Diamond Plaza Hotel in time for the 9:30 AM departure. However, it turned out that my mom wasn't finished with her chores yet. So I had to wait for her to finish before we could catch the 12:00 PM bus.

For vans to Penang, you can book in advance. There are many tour companies, the prices are similar. 400 baht one way, 700 baht round trip. You don't need to book in advance if it's not a festival. Because the van that the owner of this post took was not even full, it was very comfortable.

http://www.ksttravelthailand.com/index.php?lay=show&ac=article&Id=539672908

Once we got on the van, we drove to the Sadao checkpoint. At this point, we had to get off the van to go through immigration. The van driver would wait for us there. Remember the van's license plate and its appearance well, because an aunt who came with us on the van couldn't find it and we had to wait for a while.

Penang time is 1 hour ahead of ours, so I slept on the bus (let my mom enjoy the view, hehe. When asked if I wanted to take a plane, I said no, I wanted to see the view along the way). We arrived at the hotel at almost 5 pm. In total, we were on the bus for almost 6 hours. It shouldn't have taken that long, but we lost time because the van driver had to pick up another passenger and the guy was half an hour late. Everyone on the bus was annoyed.

This time we chose to stay at Super8 Hotel. We were looking for a hotel in Penang that was affordable and close to Komtar Tower. At this point, I want to say, why didn't I believe the other people who went there and recommended staying at Tune Hotel? I'm disappointed with Super8. On the map, it looked very close, but in reality, it was a bit far away. The surrounding area is residential, making it difficult to find food. Plus, the pictures looked better than the actual room (I didn't take any pictures because my belongings from my bag were scattered all over the bed). I have a tendency to book hotels that are not too expensive but have a room type other than the starting room type. That's why I chose this hotel.

We could have walked, it's about a kilometer, but on this trip I wanted to bring my mom to relax and walk less. I booked a Deluxe room at Super8 with 2 queen size beds, which can actually sleep 4 people, for 1,100 baht. I booked it through Agoda. The price was cheap and there was free Wi-Fi, but the room was a bit old. :'( When we walked from the hotel to the Komtar building, we found that there were many nice hotels near the building. But I didn't have much time to do my homework beforehand. My mom said it was okay, she could stay there.

On the first day we arrived, it was almost 5 pm. We put our things away, washed our faces, and agreed to go out to eat at the Gurney Drive night market because we were soooo hungry. According to the reviews, we had to walk to the Komtar building (the tallest building in Georgetown) to catch a bus (many bus lines pass through here, like Mo Chit or Victory Monument. If you want to go anywhere, start here, I guarantee there's a bus to everywhere, lol).

Take a walk from the front of the hotel to the Komtar building.

There are also street food stalls, but we are determined to eat at Gurney Drive, which is famous for its variety of food.

On the way here, I saw a lot of hotels that looked really nice to stay in. T^T

We have arrived at the bus stop. There are several lanes here. The first lane is for buses starting with the number 1. The second lane is for buses starting with the number 2, and so on. Please board the bus in the lane that corresponds to the first digit of your bus number.

Actually, we had to take bus number 101 or 103, something like that, to Gurney Plaza and then walk to Gurney Drive. But that day, the bus was very slow, I tell you. Only other buses came, but not 101. I didn't know if other buses could go there. I asked people around, and they told me to wait for bus number 1. My son and I were very hungry, so we decided to take a taxi. When we called a taxi and got in, guess what? Bus number 101 showed up. Oh well.

Some people say that Malaysian taxis are expensive, but we took a taxi from Komtar to the Gurney Drive night market, avoiding the walk through Gurney Plaza and along the beach. The meter showed 18RM (exchange rate 8.8 baht), which is almost 160 baht. We were happy with that (the bus would have cost 2RM per person).

We've arrived at the bustling Gurney Drive night market. There's so much delicious food here, it's hard to choose!

However, we weren't quite ready to try the more exotic Indian dishes, so we opted for something safer that we thought we'd enjoy more. We went with Char Kuay Teow, which is similar to Pad Thai, and Fried Oysters. The prices were around 5-15 RM per dish.

As I remembered that if I sit in front of a shop, I should order from them, so I ordered their wonton noodles to try. My mother said that their shrimp wontons were very delicious, but the noodles were just so-so. Our homemade noodles are better... Oh, it's not over yet. My mother saw that they were selling braised offal over there, which looked delicious, so she asked me to buy some more.

They let us choose what we want with chopsticks, and we thought we didn't pick much, just some pork liver and pork stomach (mom's favorite). But the pieces were huge! When they brought it to us in a bowl, it was cut into small pieces, and the bowl was overflowing. It cost 22RM, almost 200 baht. And of course, we couldn't finish it. 😂 But the chili fish sauce they gave us to eat with it was delicious. It was stronger than our fish sauce, but it didn't have the smell or taste of soy sauce. It was just a regular-looking chili fish sauce.

I really want to eat a lot of other things, but my stomach is about to burst. I can't finish it all. But everything I ordered is delicious. Hehe, I want to try their meatballs too. Many shops look delicious, like skewers dipped in dipping sauce, which they call Lok Lok. But I think I'll eat it tomorrow. Today, my belly is about to burst.

We then took a taxi back to the hotel. We arrived at the hotel after nine o'clock, almost ten o'clock. We slept soundly.

On the second morning in Penang, we woke up early, planning to rent bicycles and explore the city.

Here, it's still pitch black at 6 am, but it's still light at 7 pm. It gets dark late and light late.

After inquiring at the hotel reception, we were informed that the minimart next to the hotel offers bicycle rentals. However, they only open at 9 am. Therefore, we decided to take a leisurely stroll through another alleyway, leading us to the Komtar building in hopes of finding a bicycle rental shop nearby.

Summary... Didn't find anything 555 The accommodation options weren't great, huh? Didn't find anything except houses, so we took some photos. The town was clean and tidy.

Walk straight until you reach this alley, you will see this shopping mall. Then turn left, it's Komtar.

This hotel is also worth staying in. It's close to Komtar, but I don't see it on Agoda. It might be full.

We arrived at the Komtar building before 7am. We met an uncle who was pedaling a trishaw. He invited us to ride his trishaw for RM40 per hour to take us around the city. My son and I were interested, but we were worried that the uncle wouldn't be able to handle our weight. We felt sorry for him. He kept saying that he could handle it and that he spoke English well. But we were still hesitant. Then another uncle came by on his trishaw, so we hired one each.

This is my mom, not my older sister. Hehe. Mom looks young, the child looks old, so they can be friends.

Super chill, comfortable, no need to walk, cool breeze, not stuffy because their city has wide roads and no tall buildings surrounding them tightly.

Let's go see the city. Where would you like to go, Uncle? Let's go.

The uncle is a tour guide in himself. He can also explain that Penang has English architecture because there used to be a lot of English people there. Penang used to be a British colony. When he reached a beautiful spot for taking pictures, he would stop and tell us what the place was. It was amazing.

Sun Yat-sen's residence was a revolutionary. Sun is known as the "father of the nation" of China.

Sitting and watching the city go by, it's really enjoyable. I really like their narrow streets and alleys. They're so beautiful. There's also Street Art. Anyone who comes to Penang must take a picture as a souvenir.

There are so many pictures! I want everyone to see them as if they were on the trip with me. Thank you everyone. Come on, let's go on a trip together. There might be a lot of pictures. If I remember anything informative, I'll add it in. Personally, I think it's a pretty chill trip.

This must be a popular restaurant. It's packed with people.

Little India Alley, the uncle said there are many shops selling fashion clothes and accessories, but we came early so they haven't opened yet. We got to see the beautiful street view instead.

There is also a cycling gang. Coming here, you will see a lot of Thai teenagers coming in gangs. It's fun and not expensive. You can come in groups.

We are about to reach the Chinese temple. My uncle stopped by for us to pay our respects to the Buddha. It's a good thing, I think he can rest his legs too.

Let's continue.

This should be a hotel or hostel.

Wire Street Art

The famous little kung fu girl

My uncle steered us into the Chocolate Museum. Honestly, I wasn't keen on stopping, I just wanted to relax. But I wasn't sure if he was tired. He was so enthusiastic, saying it was free entry, so we went in.

Upon entering, it was quite nice. They had a chocolate-making machine on display and offered free samples of various chocolate flavors. As expected, the last room was a shop selling chocolates. I bought a few and some White Coffee sachets as souvenirs. I wonder if my uncle got a commission for this.

You can take photos inside, but not in the area where they sell chocolate or where you can sample different chocolates.

Mom showed a bag of souvenirs, which were chocolate and coffee.

This is worth a visit, but it's not open yet. Haha.

I'll be back later, don't go anywhere. I'll take you to follow Memories Pink to eat White Coffee at Oldtown, take a ferry across the Butterworth to see the Penang Bridge, and see the beautiful view on Penang Hill.

And then we continued to the 3rd-4th night of this trip at Cameron Highlands, a very impressive land for the two mothers and daughters. We took Uncle's car from Komtar building, but told him to drop us off near Tune Hotel. To find breakfast at the famous OldTown White Coffee.

Seeing the Komtar building in the distance, across the building will be our destination.

There's a breakfast restaurant here too, it's crowded, it's worth a try, but the goal is White Coffee!!

The police station is so colorful.

Komtar building is getting closer.

This side of the street is so empty, but it looks very clean.

This type of restaurant is definitely for tourists. Locals would probably prefer a place closer to where we're staying.

Arrived at Tune Hotel!

After Tune, our destination is New World Park. We can see the restaurant where we're going to eat.

Uncle, please stop here. We've arrived at OldTown White Coffee. There's a Starbuck in front, but it's empty. Everyone's eating at this place.

Around 8 am, the two mothers and children were very hungry. They forgot to think about coffee, so they ordered heavy food. 555

Please don't mind me, I can't really remember the names of the dishes, but I just pointed at them from the pictures. The food was delicious, I ate it all.

The weather is getting hot. I'll have a glass of lime juice to quench my thirst first. It's so refreshing.

The shop has air-conditioned seating, but to really soak up the atmosphere, we have to sit outside, sipping coffee and enjoying the scenery in front of us. That's when it really hits the spot.

We finally ordered coffee to try. We ordered one cup to share because we were already very full. But I have to say, the taste was good, fragrant, delicious, and well-rounded. We both loved it.

I took a picture of the front of a popular coffee shop in Bangkok, but it wasn't popular here. The big shop was empty.

After we had our fill and were energized, we walked back to the Komtar building to catch a bus to Penang Hill. To get to Penang Hill, we needed to take bus number 204. As we were walking, we hadn't even reached the Komtar building yet when we saw the 204 bus right in front of the police station. We were so excited that we just hopped on it right away. 55555

The driver said that this bus goes to the Jetty Pier. If you want to go to Penang Hill, you have to walk to Komtar or the Jetty Pier. So we changed our plan a bit. We took that bus and got off at the Jetty Pier to take a ferry across to Butterworth first because my mother wanted to see the view of the Penang Bridge (which we originally planned to go to in the evening and then stop by for some food at the night market).

We arrived at the pier, the boat wasn't there yet, but we didn't have to wait long. Every 10 minutes, a boat just left. So we let my mom get a massage to kill time. We tipped 1RM at a time, and I think we got 5 minutes.

When the boat arrives, they will let the people and cars on the boat out first. The signal light will then turn green, and the door will open for us to walk onto the boat.

It's crowded today, huh?

The bus was crowded, but I managed to find a seat.

Enjoy the view, see the Komtar building in the distance.

The water is clear, the sea is so beautiful.

The ferry ride to Butterworth is free, but the return trip costs RM2 per person. We crossed over and came back right away. The purpose was to enjoy the view and take pictures of my mother as a model. We took a lot of pictures on this trip.

After crossing back, we walked back to the Jetty bus depot to take bus number 204 to Penang Hill. Before we head to Cameron, let's share the beauty of Penang Hill or Bukit Bendera for those who have never been there.

This is a review of the second day of the trip. Continuing from the ferry ride across Butterworth to enjoy the view, we returned to the shore and took the bus at the Jetty bus station to go to Penang Hill. Take bus number 204.

Getting off at the last stop will take you straight to Penang Hill. On the way back, just get on the bus at the same place.

Upon entering, we bought tickets for the funicular up Penang Hill for 30RM each. The car that took us up could hold quite a lot of people, probably around 50. It looked safe, the tracks were like those of a train, but quite steep. The height of Penang Hill is about 827 meters above sea level, but when you go up, it feels much higher. Haha.

We felt like we had only been on the tram for about 10 minutes when we got off to enjoy the view and scenery. It was so refreshing.

After getting off the car (we got off on the left side), we walked along the walkway and found the food court. (Actually, other people started walking from the other side and then came around to this restaurant, but the mother and child were so excited about the view that they didn't pay attention to the other people. 555 I thought you could walk on both sides.)

We walked past the restaurants first because we agreed to go for a walk and enjoy the view before coming back to rest and find something to eat here. At the food court, the lower floor is for drinks and the upper floor sells food, but there are seats on both floors. You can buy food and eat it wherever you like.

Let's stop by for a mango strawberry smoothie first.

As I walked out of the food court, the first thing I saw was this. Wow, it looks just like Korea. It's a place where couples can hang locks, but I happened to be with my mother, and we weren't really into it, so we just took some pictures of the view. The view was nice, but there were even better ones to come. We kept walking.

Along the way, the driver explained that this area is home to the vacation homes of prominent Malaysian politicians, businessmen, and wealthy individuals. In the past, British soldiers built vacation homes here, which have since been sold to Malaysian businessmen. They are all beautiful and spacious.

Hehe, I've arrived in Penang!

We've reached the viewpoint! Yay! It's so beautiful, Mom can't stop smiling.

After taking photos at this spot, they drove us a little further up the road so we could admire the beautiful city view from above. Then, we looped back down the same way we came.

After we finished our scenic drive, we took a leisurely stroll through the flower fields. The sun was hot, but a cool breeze kept us comfortable.

Came across a viewpoint with a coin-operated telescope for 1RM.

I came across Sky Terrace, a restaurant with a beautiful view, but I didn't go up to eat. My mom told me to eat at the food court, lol. So I only got pictures.

After walking for a while, I stopped for lunch at the food court near the entrance, but I didn't take any pictures. 555 It wasn't delicious!!

After leaving the food court, I came across a cart selling pickled fruits. I tried some, and they were delicious.

This picture of your mom is beautiful, haha.

I've been here for a while, walking around until I found the exit.

Okay, that's enough Penang Hill reviews for now. We took a car back to Komtar building to buy a van ticket to Cameron.

Near Komtar building, there is Perangin Mall Penang. Outside the mall, there are many tour shops. Look for the words "Cameron Highland" and go in to buy. 35RM per person. The van will pick you up in front of the hotel. You can get a car at 7am.

After buying the bus ticket, I stopped by to eat the famous Chendul dessert, located in Perangin Mall Penang.

"But why does Mom look so delicious? It's not that bad, it tastes like the same coconut milk with coffee scent and red beans. It's strange, haha."

Today at the mall there was a boxing match. They fought in a cage. It was a big fight and it was on TV. It was similar to Thai Fight.

After watching the boxing match and finishing our snacks, we walked back to our accommodation. I secretly bought a Subway salad from the mall earlier, just in case we got hungry later at night, as there isn't much to eat near our place.

Ready or not, we're going to Cameron tomorrow!

Apologies to those waiting for the Cameron review. I just realized that writing this review is not easy at all. I have to arrange photos from my iPhone and digital camera to show the sequence of events. And this is only for a 4-5 day trip! I'm already sleepy today, so I can't continue with Cameron. Please come back tomorrow to read it. ^ ^

Let's continue. Today is the third day. My daughter and I woke up early with excitement. We will get to see the beautiful nature of Cameron Highlands.

At first, my mother didn't know it, but when I showed her a picture on the internet, she really wanted to go.

We booked a car to pick us up at 8 am in front of the hotel. We intentionally booked a hotel without breakfast because we planned to wake up and find something local to eat on our last day in Georgetown.

I walked from my accommodation and found this shop already open. There were already many customers. They sell Indian-style breakfast, but the two of us, mother and daughter, ordered roti and curry, which is purely Indian style. I don't think we'll survive (why did we want to eat local food? 555). So I just ordered eggs, toast and hot tea. The tea and coffee in this shop are very sweet (an old uncle is in charge of making drinks). So I had to ask the uncle for another hot tea with no milk and no sugar. I'm saved for this meal. It feels good to eat Western food in an Indian restaurant. 555555 Watching the uncle making roti, he saw us as tourists and asked if we wanted curry. Then he brought it to us. I wanted to refuse, but I was afraid because he was big. I ate two bites and couldn't finish it. Will I get in trouble? But the uncle was kind and smiled at me. He must have seen my face when I tasted it and understood me, right?

After finishing our meal, we waited for the car in the hotel lobby. The car arrived right on time.

The journey took about 6 hours, which is no joke. It didn't feel that far, like Bangkok to Korat, but it took a long time because we started going uphill and the drivers here don't speed. They drive very safely. We also had a break at 10am for half an hour so passengers could get something to eat. But the two mothers and children had already eaten, so I just had a little taste of their rice with curry. It was wrapped in a banana leaf and had curry and grilled salted fish. I think it was called Lemak, if I remember correctly.

We don't know where this rest stop is, but it's great. There are clean restrooms, places to sit and rest, and rows of rice and curry shops and fruit shops.

This is called durian water. I don't know what it tastes like because I haven't tried it. The fruit is very large and shaped like a giant, spiky mango.

After a half-hour break, we set off. There were four of us in the car: me, my mother, and a foreign couple, a man and a woman.

Enjoying the view, I didn't realize I had reached the mountainous area. Looking out, I saw mountains lined up, and then I started to climb the mountain. The road was quite winding, but it was in very good condition.

As we ascended, the road became increasingly winding and sharp. Periodically, we encountered signs like this, presumably cautioning drivers to exercise caution (educated guess).

I'm starting to feel a little dizzy from all the twists and turns. I also feel like the driver is starting to speed up.

There were few passengers, so my mother and I sat on opposite sides to enjoy the view. I started to worry that my mother would get dizzy, but when I looked over, she was calmly eating boiled peanuts and enjoying the view.

As I climbed higher and higher, the view below became breathtaking. The valley stretched out before me, a tapestry of vibrant colors. The trees lining the path were ablaze with autumn hues, creating a stunning spectacle.

We're almost there! We didn't take any pictures of Brinchang town on the way up because the winding roads made us dizzy. 555

The resort we booked, Strawberry Park Resort, is located almost at the highest point of the city. The van dropped off the foreigners in the city first before continuing to drop us off.

For the best prices, I recommend searching on Trivago.com or Tripadvisor.com. You'll find incredibly low prices there (much lower than on Agoda).

In summary, we booked through Otel.com and the price was thousands of baht cheaper. We even got a suite room, while Agoda only offered a studio room. Why???? T^T

Ta-da! We've arrived! It's just as beautiful as in the pictures. We got here around 2 pm.

The room was very spacious with a balcony offering a beautiful view. We chose the zone next to the forest. The resort has several buildings and zones, each with 4 floors and no elevators. Our room was on the 3rd floor.

The bathroom is also spacious and has a walk-in closet. I love it!

The mother sat and enjoyed the view, it was so relaxing. The weather was great, it's cool all year round here. We went before Songkran, on Facebook all my friends were complaining that it was scorching hot. My friends were jealous of me.

After a while, we let our mother take a nap. We secretly ordered food because we were hungry. Fresh strawberry juice, it's delicious. Blended without ice.

After we finished eating, it started to rain. We sat and watched TV, waiting for the rain to stop. Then we snuck out to explore the resort and book a tour for tomorrow. The resort has a tour sales office in the lobby building, which is separate from the building where we are staying.

Let me show you around.

We bought a light Day Trip Day Trip to visit BOH tea plantation, bee farm, butterfly garden with various flowers, strawberry farm, Rose Garden, Cameron souvenir market, Chinese temple in Cameron, a total of 7 places. The price includes entrance fees to the bee farm and Rose Garden for 35RM per person. There are 2 rounds to choose from because it only takes half a day. So we chose the morning round at 9am. The car picked us up at the lobby, where we had to have breakfast in this building anyway.

For those who are interested in a more challenging trip, there is also a hiking option. You can go bird watching and enjoy the waterfalls. But my mom and I probably wouldn't be able to handle it.

I went back to my room and took a nap. I woke up at 7pm and my mom was hungry, so we went down to the lobby to find something to eat. We found out that there was a Thai restaurant there, but they didn't offer room service. We had to go down to eat, and we could only order simple coffee shop items like sandwiches and fried food to be brought up to our room.

The first meal of the two mothers and children in Cameroon was completely eaten.

Go to bed and continue the Day Trip tomorrow ^ ^ Hello everyone, I apologize for not finishing the review yet. Due to my busy schedule.

Let's continue. Today we will take you on a day trip to Cameron.

The program is

- Visit BOH Tea Plantation, enjoy taking photos and sipping delicious tea with cake.

- Visit a bee farm and see firsthand how bees are raised.

- Butterfly garden and various flowers

- Rose Garden Admire the beauty of many exotic flowers

- Cameron's souvenir market is very cheap, and locals also shop here.

- Chinese temple in Cameron Highlands, worshiping Buddha for auspiciousness (Doctor Chang also said that today is a good day, April 7th)

My mother and I woke up early to have breakfast at the hotel lobby building.

The entrance to the restaurant is also a bar at the front. Is it open so early in the morning?

The breakfast buffet here is quite diverse, offering a wide range of options. From Western-style dishes like fried eggs, ham, and sausages to local favorites like rice porridge, noodle soup, and a salad bar. There's also rice, Indian-style curries, various breads, deep-fried dough sticks, a roti station with freshly made flatbreads served with curry, spaghetti, penne, baked potatoes with cheese (which are delicious!), fruits, and a variety of baked goods.

Plus, there were plenty of seats available, and we got a balcony view, which made this meal even more delicious than usual.

This is the view from our breakfast table balcony. Amazing, isn't it?

We came across a group of Thai families, but we didn't greet them because they were very loud. My daughter and I love peace and quiet, and we understood each other with just a glance. So we ate our food and took pictures in silence. We secretly hoped that this family wouldn't be on the same tour as us, as it would be very noisy. There were 2 children (who were extremely naughty), 3 adults, and 2 grandparents.

After finishing our meal and taking photos, we went out to wait for the car. We found out that only the two of us, mother and daughter, were on this trip. Hehe, how lucky! The car that would take us was a van parked in front of the resort, along with a kind uncle who was the driver. And here is the first place we arrived at, not far from the resort, just a 5-minute drive away: BOH Tea Plantation.

Our photos don't do it justice, it's much more beautiful in person. The weather is also great, it's so amazing!

I wish we could stay here longer, but the tour guide said we only have 10 minutes to stop and take pictures. He has to stick to the schedule.

We continued our journey by car to visit an old tea factory built during the British era on the top of the mountain. Along the way, we couldn't help but steal glances at the young men picking tea leaves.

We have arrived at the BOH Tea Centre, where we will be able to see the tea factory.

But that day when we went, there was a bus full of children on a field trip. They were in the factory, so we had to wait for the next round. We were too lazy to wait, so my mom and I went to find some delicious tea and snacks.

As you walk in, there will be a spot where you can sit and drink tea while enjoying the beautiful view of the tea plantation.

I ordered an apple pie and a chocolate cake to drink with their recommended tea. It smells so good and the cake is delicious.

Then we continued on to the second location, a bee farm.

Upon entering, you will be greeted by a souvenir shop and a plethora of bee products. There is a path leading down to the lower floors, with the bee farm located on the lowest level, three floors down.

The surprise was that there were no guides or anyone to explain anything except the cashier and the uncle who drove us down to see the beekeeping. 555

The path slopes down further, revealing that the entrance to the farm is located on a hillside. The area is very spacious.

Along the way, we saw boxes lined up. Uncle said that the bees were in there. We could walk by and look closely, as long as we didn't bother them, they wouldn't do anything.

As you walk along, you'll encounter beautifully landscaped gardens, waterfalls, and even a koi pond.

After walking around for a while, we went back upstairs and bought some honey as souvenirs. Overall, this place is okay, as is the case with day trips where each locality tries to find a selling point.

The next stop is the Butterfly Garden, located just a short distance from the Bee Farm, less than 1 kilometer away. There is an entrance fee of 5RM per person, but we don't have to pay as it's included in the trip.

Besides butterflies, there are also strange animals (strange to them) like scorpions, spiders, lizards, and strange frogs. But we didn't look at them, haha. We only looked at butterflies and flowers.

It took about 20 minutes to get to the exit. Let's continue to the strawberry farm.

I was a little disappointed with this place. Admission is free, but there are two strawberry growing zones. The zone we visited had very young strawberries, only small ones. I asked the uncle, and he said that if we wanted to see bigger ones, we had to pay to enter another zone (I could see it, but it was locked with a key). The entrance fee is RM20 per person, but we would be able to pick and eat strawberries there as much as we wanted. However, I didn't think it was worth it, as I was planning to buy some to take home anyway.

So we took a few photos here.

In the end, we didn't buy any strawberries from here because we secretly asked the driver if the market we were going to today had them for a cheaper price.

We'll be here for a bit before moving on to the Rose Garden. It seems like Mom really likes it here. She loves flowers.

We took a lot of pictures here. My mom kept telling me to take pictures of her wherever she went, "Take a picture, take a picture for me," like a young girl. Haha (I secretly laughed at my mom).

I stayed here for about 20 minutes and then went to the local market. It was too hot to take pictures. The market was small, with stalls selling vegetables on the floor and lots of stalls selling strawberries. My uncle told me to walk around all the stalls before buying anything, so I could find the cheapest one. And I did find some really cheap strawberries! They were fresh, sweet, and juicy, and cost less than 250 baht per kilogram.

The last one is a Chinese temple in Cameron.

After worshipping at the temple, we returned to our accommodation. The trip took us from 9 am to 2 pm, and it cost 35RM per person. If you don't want to buy a tour like this, you can also rent a motorbike and explore on your own. However, I wouldn't recommend cycling, as it's hilly and some parts of the road aren't in good condition. But I did see some foreigners riding mountain bikes, which you can rent in town near the market.

Upon arriving at the room, we ordered room service sandwiches to eat. We ate while enjoying the view.

After eating, I took a nap. Look at the view from the bed. Hehe, I'm so happy.

For dinner tonight, the mother and daughter entrusted their stomachs to the Thai restaurant at the resort again. They planned to eat Stream Boat, a local Cameron dish (it's actually sukiyaki, but it's probably popular because it's the easiest and most palatable food for tourists).

As the waiter brought out the equipment, the mother and daughter were secretly shocked. It was a gas tank! Not a small one, but a serious one, complete with a gas nozzle, ready to be lit on the spot. Wow... eating while feeling a little scared, huh?

The set includes seafood, chicken, vegetables, mushrooms, and three types of noodles: rice vermicelli, glass noodles, and dried egg noodles. The server will ask if you want the Chinese or Thai version of the set, and we chose the Chinese version. The price is RM30 per person (calculated per person but served as a set. We don't know if refills are allowed, but the amount served was already more than enough to finish).

There are 3 types of dipping sauce, all of which come with fresh chili and garlic. We loved them all! There's sukiyaki sauce, our own seafood dipping sauce, and a black sauce that smells like roasted chili paste. Delicious!

Today, I met a Thai chef who came out to chat with us. She was an older woman and asked us what kind of flavors we wanted. My mom secretly complained that yesterday's papaya salad wasn't good enough, it was too bland. So the chef took care of it. She went in and made us a papaya salad with fermented fish sauce, it was so spicy that we forgot to take a picture.

This is a funny story. The young female server with short hair and sharp features who served us walked out of the kitchen, sobbing uncontrollably. My mother and I were initially confused and wondered what was wrong. Then I remembered and asked, "Did you try this?" 55555555 She replied through her tears, "Yes." She asked the chef to try the leftovers from our order. She had never eaten anything so spicy in her life. 55555555 It was so pitiful. I saw her walk over and grab a few sugar packets meant for coffee and stand there pouring them into her mouth behind the counter. When she saw us watching, she said sheepishly, "I have to eat sugar to cool down the spiciness." Hehe.

And that's it for our Cameron Highlands trip! My son and I had a wonderful time. In the morning, we took the van we booked for our roundtrip from Komtar back to Penang. We were picked up at 8:30 AM after breakfast and headed back. Upon arriving at Komtar, we bought tickets back to Hat Yai (we didn't buy roundtrip tickets because we weren't sure when we would be returning).

I hope this review will be helpful to Pantip users. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I'm happy to help. ^ ^
