Today, I'm taking you all to try Shanghai-style sukiyaki at You Cuisine (You Cuisine) restaurant.

I am normally someone who loves sukiyaki very much, both making it myself and trying it at many different restaurants.

After having the opportunity to try Shanghai-style sukiyaki at You Cuisine, I'm here to share it with you all.

Let's not waste any time and go try it together.

There are 4 branches of You Cuisine suki restaurant. You can visit any branch that is convenient for you.

1. The Crystal SB Ratchapruk Branch, 2nd Floor Tel. 02-102-5627
2. The Crystal PTT Chaiyaphruek Branch, 2nd Floor Tel. 02-023-2785
3. Central Plaza Westgate Branch, 3rd Floor Tel. 02-194-2783
4. Central Plaza Pinklao Branch, G Floor Tel. 02-884-9995

I tried the food at the Central Pinklao branch, G floor. This branch is located next to Chiang Noodle Shop, so it's easy to find.

Seeing the sign from afar, walk in to enjoy the atmosphere in the shop...

The restaurant's decor is in a Shanghai Chinese style, with a focus on red tones, giving the impression that we are actually sitting in a real Chinese restaurant.

The red lanterns are particularly eye-catching, and there are a total of 4 rows of seats on the left and right, which are not too crowded.

The shop also plays soft Chinese music to match the atmosphere of the shop.

Once we entered the restaurant, we were free to choose our seats. Since we arrived at 10 am, the restaurant had just opened and there weren't many customers yet.

But as we ate, more and more people started coming in until the restaurant was full.

The staff will bring the menu for us to choose as we like. So let's start with drinks first.

You Cuisine offers a variety of hot and cold drinks. Let's start with a refreshing iced chrysanthemum tea to beat the heat.

For hot drinks, there are a variety of options to choose from, such as Tieguanyin tea / Chrysanthemum tea / Red Dragon tea / Oolong tea.

Each type of tea has a unique flavor and medicinal properties, depending on the style of Chinese tea.

We tried the Tieguanyin tea, priced at 159 baht, which is said to improve digestion.

And it also helps to fight wrinkles. Guanyin tea will have the fragrant smell of tea before drinking.

Now that we've had a chance to enjoy some drinks, let's take a look at some of the other menu items that the restaurant has to offer.

You Cuisine doesn't just offer sukiyaki, but also a wide variety of other dishes to choose from.

Emperor's Egg Noodles, Stir-fried with XO Sauce and Shrimp Balls (89.-)

The food looks delicious. It smells good. The noodles are not sticky and not too oily.

The taste is a bit salty and spicy. It goes well with kale.

Emperor's Rice (129.-)

This dish features a Shanghainese-style flavor profile, incorporating shrimp, squid, and fragrant shiitake mushrooms. The addition of diced ginger adds a touch of warmth and aroma.

Now let's move on to the highlight of You Cuisine, the sukiyaki menu. First, let's start with the dipping sauce.

- Left cup: Dark brown dipping sauce. The shop owner said it goes well with pork and other meats.
- Middle cup: Yuzu Shanghai dipping sauce. It looks like a regular dipping sauce, but the taste is stronger, spicy and sour.
- Right cup: Shanghai dipping sauce. The taste is salty and sour.
P.S. The owner told me later that if you mix the middle cup with the right cup, the taste will be amazing. I have to try it myself, I just found out :'(

And of course, the soup is a must-have. There are 3 types of soup to choose from:

  • Tom Yum
  • Chinese herbal soup
  • Scallop soup (This soup is not made from boiled pork bones, but from dried scallops, which give it a nice sweetness.)

You can choose 2 types of soup. Choose as you like.

We have dipping sauce and soup base ready. Now, let's order food to put in the sukiyaki pot.

Fresh Vegetable and Mushroom Set (245.-)

Kurobuta Pork Set (219.-)

Featuring a variety of cuts, including pork loin, pork neck, and bacon, the pork is tender and easy to dip into the pot.

Steamed crab meat in golden leaf (89.-)

Golden Crab Bag (89.-)

Shrimp with Spicy Pork (89.-)

Lava Cheese Sea (79.-)

Heart U Algae (69.-)

Shanghai Rambutan 69.-

3 Flavors of Crispy Rolls (59.-)

With everything ready, let's start dipping into Shanghai-style hotpot (this is just a part of the menu).

Let's go!

It's cooked! Dip it in the sauce and enjoy!

The taste is excellent. I must say that the sukiyaki and dipping sauce here are truly extraordinary. If I have the chance, I will definitely come back for another meal.

But here they don't just have savory dishes, they also have desserts. And I have to say, they're delicious!

Pancake Cena (129.-)

It is a crispy fried dough sheet similar to roti, topped with condensed milk and various toppings and fresh fruits.

Served with a side of refreshing ice cream, the flavors complement each other perfectly. I must say, this is a must-try dish. If you're ever there, I highly recommend ordering it.

China Toast You Shanghai (129.-)

This menu will take approximately 15 minutes to prepare. The staff will inform us when we order because it takes time to bake the bread.

Not bad looking, right? The taste is just as good. Served with warm, crispy bread drizzled with honey, sweet condensed milk, and chocolate.

Accompanied by slightly sour fresh strawberries, this perfectly balances the sweetness, with a cool sweetness from whipped cream and vanilla ice cream.

China Pie Toast (129.-)

** **

This menu takes 10 minutes to bake the bread. The bread will be soft, topped with condensed milk and honey. Served with ice cream and whipped cream

It's still as delicious as ever, but what's added is my own fat, lol.

How are you guys doing with the menu of You Cuisine (U Cuisine)? Do you like it?

Personally, I think the sukiyaki and dipping sauce here are great, both in terms of taste and the ingredients used to season them.

In addition to the wide variety of sukiyaki, there are also other delicious dishes and desserts available.

Oh! I forgot to mention one more thing. They don't use MSG in their food here. They cook it fresh, with the flavors coming directly from the ingredients themselves.

All of this is just my personal opinion, so don't believe it until you try it yourself.

Finally, I would like to thank all my friends who came to visit and taste the food together. If there is any mistake, I apologize here.
