Manorah Royal Cuisine

The Manorah Royal Cuisine Thai restaurant is another branch of the Impact branch. This branch is located at the Central Post Office, Bang Rak, a building with a long history. The Central Post Office also has many reception rooms to accommodate banquets, which can accommodate thousands of people. If you face the building, the restaurant will be on the left wing of the building. The restaurant is decorated in a modern style with a touch of Thai. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, with seating for over 100 people. There is also a small reception room that can accommodate about 8-10 people at no extra charge.

Lounge

Manorah Restaurant is an authentic Thai restaurant that offers a wide variety of dishes from all four regions of Thailand. The dishes are meticulously prepared by Thai chefs to ensure that they taste just like the original recipes. The menu of this restaurant starts with

***Appetizer*** The appetizer menu features a variety of spicy salads, including Betel Leaf Salad with Shrimp and Minced Pork, Salmon Salad, Fresh Sausage Salad, Grilled Wagyu Beef Salad with Grapes, Glass Noodle Salad, Boiled Fish with Dipping Sauce, Shrimp in Blanket, Snow Flake Shrimp, Fish Cake, Satay, Grilled Pork, Hatyai Fried Chicken, Som Tum, Pomelo Salad with Fresh Shrimp, Larb, Grilled Pork Neck, and Spicy Shrimp and Crab Salad.

In this set, I tried the pomelo salad with fresh shrimp (150 baht). This menu is quite refreshing, light and easy to eat. It's slightly sour, mildly sweet, and not spicy at all, as it only uses 1-2 fresh chilies. The peanuts and fried shallots add a nice flavor boost.

Poo Cha (200 baht) This menu, I haven't had it for a long time. Maybe because it's hard to find in everyday life. This menu is crab meat mixed with finely minced pork. It is steamed before being dipped in egg and fried again. Sprinkle with fluffy eggs. This menu is delicious even without dipping sauce.

***Chill Dip*** As the name suggests, it reminds us of salsa or dipping menus, but in reality, this set menu is actually Thai chili paste. Such as chili paste in a boat, chili paste with grilled mackerel, roasted shrimp paste, and crab meat curry.

I ordered the "น้ำพริกลงเรือ" with fresh and boiled vegetables (120 baht). The chili paste was a bit sour and sweet, not too spicy. It was served with seasonal vegetables, including blanched cabbage, blanched sesbania flowers, blanched carrots, blanched string beans, blanched cauliflower, blanched baby corn, lettuce, and purple eggplants. It also came with sweet pork and salted egg. This dish was delicious, I really liked it. I ate it all up.

***Thai Soup*** This set will be a variety of soups and curries, including Tom Yum Goong (Spicy Prawn Soup), Tom Kha Gai (Coconut Chicken Soup), Andaman Hot Pot, Clear Soup with Fish Maw, Sour Soup with Mackerel, Turmeric-Braised Mackerel, and Fresh Shrimp Curry.

I ordered the Tom Liang Goong Sod (140 baht), which is a spicy and flavorful curry soup with fresh shrimp. It was packed with various vegetables, including intricately carved carrots and pumpkins, zucchini, baby corn, betel leaves, and plump, fresh white shrimp. The broth was rich and aromatic, with a good level of spice.

***Main Dish*** will be heavy dishes, but authentic Thai dishes such as red curry with pork and pennywort, stir-fried curry paste with chicken, stir-fried salmon with Chinese celery, panang lamb ribs, fried river prawns with garlic, soft-shell crab with curry powder or black pepper, stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts, stir-fried scallops and prawns with holy basil, stir-fried holy basil, asparagus and shiitake mushrooms with red sauce, stir-fried five-color vegetables, sour curry with ruby fish, yellow curry with soft-boned fish, fish maw curry, stir-fried fish with curry paste, steamed fish with herbs, steamed fish with lime, and deep-fried fish with fish sauce.

The Sea Gypsy's Steamed Curry in Banana Leaf (200 baht) is a hand-kneaded steamed curry. It contains whole shrimps and fresh squid pieces. If eaten with rice, the curry might be a bit mild. So I ate it plain as a snack, which was just right.

Massaman curry with beef (180 baht) After this menu is the menu that has been voted the number 1 menu in the world that people love. So when my friends come to visit Thailand, everyone will ask for this menu almost all of them. Apart from the original menus like Pad Thai, Massaman is rarely sold in many large Thai restaurants. When I found out that this restaurant had it for sale, I ordered it to try. The beef massaman tastes very good. It's very flavorful.

***Rice & Noodle*** is mainly a single dish, such as shrimp paste rice, mixed rice, drunken noodles, chicken khao soi, pineapple fried rice, gravy noodles, Pad Thai with rice noodles, green curry rice with salted egg and dried fish, stir-fried soy sauce, fried rice, and stir-fried basil. I didn't order this set because I already ordered other dishes.

***Egg Menu*** This is an egg menu. We have fried eggs, omelets, crab omelets, shrimp, pork and chicken omelets.

***Lunch Set*** The main course is rice with two side dishes and soup. For example, the Fish Maw Curry Set includes Fish Maw Curry, Fish Cake, Clear Soup with Luffa and Jasmine Rice. The Som Tum Manorah Set includes Som Tum, Hat Yai Fried Chicken, Sticky Rice and Jasmine Rice. The Poh Taek Set includes Poh Taek, Fish Cake, Stir-fried Seafood and Jasmine Rice. The Salmon Choo Chee Set includes Salmon Choo Chee, Fish Cake, Clear Soup with Luffa and Jasmine Rice. And the last set is the Manorah Fried Rice Set, served with Fish Cake and Clear Soup with Luffa. All sets are priced the same at 179 baht only.

  • Lab Hed (mushroom salad)
  • Yum Som O (pomelo salad)
  • Pad Thai (stir-fried rice noodles)
  • Stir-fried vegetables
  • Clear soup with tofu
  • Green curry with vegetables
  • Fried tofu

Thai Dessert & Fresh Fruit

Our dessert menu features a selection of traditional Thai sweets, such as:

  • Kluay Buat Chee (bananas in coconut milk)
  • Bua Loy Fak Thong (pumpkin dumplings in coconut milk)
  • Kluay Hak Muk Sot Sai Puak Wan (sweet sticky rice with banana and taro filling)
  • Lod Chong (green rice noodles in coconut milk)

We also offer a variety of fresh fruits.

Try the pumpkin bualoy (55 baht). The five-colored bualoy has young coconut mixed in the cup. It's fragrant, sweet, creamy, and delicious.

***Beverage List*** will offer alcoholic beverages, tea, coffee, herbal drinks, and fruit juices.

I ordered a hot latte and iced milk tea. The milk tea here comes with separate fresh milk and syrup, so you can adjust the sweetness and richness to your liking. The ice in this glass is also frozen iced tea, so that the taste doesn't change when the ice melts. The stirrer for this menu is lemongrass. At first I thought it would give off a nice aroma, but I drank the whole glass and still didn't smell anything. 5555

This restaurant is a Thai restaurant with a limited menu compared to other Thai restaurants. This may be because other Thai restaurants often include Chinese dishes in their menus, making them appear more diverse. However, the presentation and care taken in each dish at this restaurant is excellent. The food is delicious and, most importantly, very affordable. This is another restaurant that I will add to my personal list for when friends come to visit or when I want to take my elders out for a meal. You won't be disappointed.
