Boteya Thailand @ CTW Floor 3

A collection of easy one-dish meals from all over Japan in one place.

Boteya Thailand, a newly opened Japanese restaurant, is located on the 3rd floor of Central World, near the entrance to Isetan. The restaurant has acquired its brand directly from Japan, where Boteya has been in operation since 1946. The restaurant in Thailand is

Thai chefs were sent to Japan to hone their skills beforehand. The restaurant will also have a permanent Japanese chef on staff.

Many of the main ingredients are imported from Japan to achieve a taste as close as possible to the original restaurant. Previously, people from Japan came to check the quality and taste of the food.

Our restaurant features an open kitchen, allowing customers to witness the meticulous preparation of their meals and ensuring the utmost hygiene before delivery. Unlike many open kitchens, ours is designed to minimize cooking odors, preventing the unpleasant experience of leaving with lingering food smells on your clothes and hair. Additionally, the open kitchen provides a glimpse into the dynamic and lively atmosphere of our establishment, showcasing the seamless flow of operations.

***** Boteya Atmosphere *****

This restaurant is not very big, it can accommodate about 50++ people. The walls are painted in a rather dark tone, which is different from most Japanese restaurants, but it gives a casual dining atmosphere.

Boteya Menu

The restaurant's menu focuses on single-plate dishes from all over Japan, bringing them together in one place. The emphasis is on popular dishes from each prefecture, which are used as selling points. Many of the dishes have the prefecture name attached to them, and the restaurant also adds other dishes to the menu.

1. Caesar salad with onsen egg and sliced bacon (170 baht) ★★★★

2. Osaka Shabu Shabu Pork Salad (Osaka) 150 baht ★★★★ This menu will have a sesame scent from the sesame salad dressing. It smells delicious and has Shabu Shabu pork on top.

3. Karaage Fried Chicken Wings (Nagoya) 100 Baht

4. Okosoba (Osaka) ★★★ This menu is like okonomiyaki, but the inside is yakisoba. You can choose from Premium mixed, Seafood, Meat Deluxe, Pork and Bacon Sausage Cheese.

- Okosoba Premium mixed (320 baht) will include beef, pork, shellfish, squid, and shrimp.
- Seafood Special (290 baht)

Both menus are the same, the only difference is the meat inside. This menu is delicious when you first try it, but if you eat the whole plate by yourself, I think it will be a bit salty and greasy for me. If you come with many people and share it, it will be much better.

5. Grilled Pork Belly Rice (Hokkaido) ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 280 Baht The serving size is quite large. The grilled pork smells good and has a sweet and salty taste. Overall, it's delicious. Served with salad and onion soup.

6. Grilled Pork with Egg Rice Bowl (Ehime) 220 Baht ★★★★ The sauce is similar to the Karubi Grilled Pork Rice Bowl, with a sweet and salty flavor that is easy to eat. The pork is char siu, topped with two fried eggs, and served with a salad in a bowl.

7. Sirloin Steak Combo (Osaka) 320 baht ★★★ This is a 200-gram sirloin steak grilled on a stove to medium-rare, looking juicy and tender. The steak is thinly sliced and served with rice, fried egg, salad, and onion soup. This menu is quite strange for me because it is grilled meat, grilled like a steak, maybe just sprinkled with Ponzu salt and served with Japanese rice and a dipping sauce of wasabi and soy sauce. Maybe I've never had this kind of combination before, so I'm not familiar with it.

8. Donabe Pork Karubi (Ikebukuro, Tokyo) 390 baht ★★★★ This restaurant is different from others because the pot served is a steaming pot with broth at the bottom. On top are bean sprouts, golden needle mushrooms, and sliced pork. Once you've finished the top, lift the steaming tray out and you'll have broth at the bottom. You can dip rice in the broth to finish your meal. This menu is served with Japanese sesame sauce.

9. Yaki Soba Lava Fried Egg (Osaka) 280 Baht ★★★★ This menu is a fusion of Thai and Chinese flavors. The stir-fried basil here is different from the usual, with the addition of Chinese spices, possibly mala, which has a very unique and fragrant aroma. Overall, it's deliciously rich. After eating this dish, your tongue will feel numb, probably due to the mala.

10. Pudding: The pudding here is not set very firmly. From the picture, it looks like it might even be liquid.

- Tokyo Chocolate Pudding (Tokyo) 50 baht ★★★ Served with oranges in syrup. The shop uses milk and chocolate as the main ingredients. The chocolate flavor is light.
- Milk Pudding (50 baht) ★★★★ This one smells good of milk, plus a hint of vanilla. It's delicious.

Advantages
1. The food tastes good and the portions are quite large.
2. The price of the restaurant includes VAT and, importantly, there is no service charge.

Disadvantages
1. Due to the large portion size (if you go alone), you can only eat one main course and you're full. You can't try other menus 5555. It's better to go with a group of people.
