Hello, this is my first review. I've never written a review before, and I'm afraid it won't be good. Some of the reviews I've read in the past haven't been very good, so please let me know if you have any feedback.

Let's get straight to the point. The Baan Rabeang Dao trip in Chiang Dao District, Chiang Mai Province, is a house with a mountain view. Booking a room requires frequent phone calls because when we booked, it was very difficult to contact because there was no signal there. And there are a lot of people booking here. It took us two days to contact this place to book a room. It takes a little effort.

We traveled on October 25-28, 2015. At first, I was going to travel alone. Luckily, I found a friend who was willing to take the risk with me. One person was okay. We had the same style, so the journey began...

To book a room, please call 089-998-0712. The accommodation costs 500 baht per person per night and includes dinner and breakfast. To get there, start at the Arcade Bus Station. From the Arcade Bus Station, take a red songthaew to Chang Phuak Bus Station in Chiang Mai for 40 baht per person. When you arrive at Chang Phuak Bus Station, transfer to a red fan bus that goes to Tha Ton. This is the Chiang Mai-Tha Ton bus. Tell the bus conductor that you want to get off at Lotus Chiang Dao. The fare is 40 baht per person. The first bus leaves at 7:20 AM. We didn't have time to take a picture because the bus was about to leave. The journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. When you arrive at Lotus Chiang Dao, walk straight towards 7-Eleven, which is about 150 meters away. After passing 7-Eleven, continue walking and you will see the Chiang Dao Khao Kha Moo restaurant. At the intersection of the entrance to Wat Intharam, cross to the right-hand side and you will see a sign for Wat Intharam and an alley leading to the temple. This is the pick-up point for the car that will take you to Kong Muang, Ban Na Lau, and Baan Rabeang Dao. However, we didn't walk all the way to the pick-up point. The owner of the car came up to us and asked if we were going to Baan Rabeang Dao. We asked for his phone number and then went to eat at the Khao Kha Moo restaurant, which is a delicious restaurant that was recommended to us.

The alley at the intersection that is the pick-up point for the car to Kong city (Ban Rabeang Dao)

After finishing our meal, we went to the designated pick-up point. The driver informed us that the van would depart at 10 am as someone had booked it in advance. My friend inquired about nearby attractions, and the driver suggested Wat Inthararam and the Ping River. Without hesitation, we headed towards the temple.

And then it was time to leave. The fare was 50 baht per person to go up to Baan Rai Biang Dao. The uncle said there were three cars, but we didn't know the schedule. But it's better to go as early as possible in case there are no cars going up. But the uncle said there were cars for hire for 600 baht per car. And another way is to rent a motorcycle.

Or take a motorbike taxi to the entrance of the Forestry Department and then hail a car to go up. The uncle said that there are rarely any cars.

Pictures of the scenery along the way

After a while, you will reach a checkpoint where you will need to pay an entrance fee of 20 baht per person.

On the way, it rained lightly, just enough to get us wet. Finally, we arrived at the Baan Rai Dao. We checked in to our room. If you go during the day, there is no food available, but there are drinks for sale. It is advisable to bring your own food. We ate the food we got from the tour bus, which helped to satisfy our hunger.

Upon arriving at the room, we were overwhelmed by the atmosphere. The place was absolutely stunning, and the view from our room was incredible. The air was fresh and clean. Initially, we planned to take a shower, but we ended up taking photos and having fun. After refreshing ourselves with a shower, we went for a walk to admire the surrounding views. The water here was very cold, as there was no hot water heater. Our room had a private bathroom, which was decent for the price.

However, if you are unable to book a room here, there are 2 other accommodations nearby: Baan Wiw Doi Luang and Baan Sai Morakot. As for the price of accommodation, we are unsure. At Baan Sai Morakot, we asked a guest who was staying there, and they said the price was 400 baht per night, including meals.

Stroll around the village and enjoy the scenery.

We then sat down to rest on the balcony in front of our room. The younger sister came over and asked if we would like to have dinner. After a while, she brought the food to our room. We enjoyed the delicious food and the beautiful atmosphere. It was the perfect way to end the day.

After finishing our meal, we sat and chatted for a while before getting ready to shower and rest. It's recommended to bring a flashlight for this trip, as the accommodation uses solar panels and there are no electrical outlets in the rooms. However, there is a charging station located near the entrance of the rooms. Electricity is available from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The resort requests that guests refrain from making noise after 10:00 PM. We slept soundly, and the temperature wasn't too hot. There are no fans in the rooms.

I woke up this morning to the sound of roosters crowing. After taking care of my personal needs, I opened the door to my room and looked out at the view. The morning mist was starting to roll in, even though it wasn't the cold season. The air was cool and comfortable. After finishing my personal business, I prepared to go get something to eat at the guest corner of the house on the balcony. Or I could have the staff deliver food to my room.

Breakfast consists of rice porridge, coffee, Ovaltine, and hot, fragrant tea.

The morning atmosphere with this popular corner chair that everyone who arrives must sit on.

After finishing our meal, we prepared to travel back to Pai. However, we didn't want to leave at all. The weather here is great.

This place is perfect for those who enjoy peace and quiet. Initially, some people said that there wasn't much to do if you went up quickly. However, in my experience, there wasn't enough time, as I love nature.

The trip ended with a picture of your aunt's rice field. Actually, I don't know if your aunt allowed me to enter, but because of my mischievousness, I sneaked in to take a picture. Your aunt saw me, but she didn't say anything. She just shouted that if I came out, I should close the entrance door for her, or the chickens would go and peck at the rice. This trip was fun. I got to experience the life of the villagers in that area. Looking at it, there is happiness in the village. They rely on each other and live with nature. During the trip, I met lovely people who gave me advice about the journey throughout.

-->> Prepare to travel to Pai District

Get ready to take the bus down to Chiang Dao with the same uncle as before at 8:00 AM, as arranged. The uncle said that there is only one bus going down, which is the 8:00 AM round, and it costs 50 baht. The uncle will drop you off at the Chiang Dao Transportation Center. You need to take the Chiang Mai - Tha Ton bus and get off at Mae Malai Junction. Get on the bus at the sign that says "Long Chiang Mai" for 19 baht per person.

After a while, you will reach Mae Malai intersection. Cross the road to the right and walk straight ahead. You will reach a market. At the traffic light, turn right.

Walk straight ahead, you will see the Erawan Gold Shop.

And the CD shop is on the left hand side. It will be the ticket sales point for the minivan to Pai. The price is 150 baht per person.

To get to Pai district from Mae Malai intersection, there is a bus that goes there, but there is only one round. You have to arrive before 8:00 AM. The bus stop is under a big tree, about 200 meters past the CD shop. At first, I was going to take the bus because I wanted a chill atmosphere, but luckily I took the van instead because the road was under construction. Otherwise, my head would have been full of dust ^^

11.00 am, we got on a van to Pai district. It took 2 hours to get there. At first, we sat and looked at the scenery along the way. We sat and sat until we got dizzy and fell asleep. There are really a lot of curves here. When we arrived at Pai district, we got off the van and were surprised. There were so many foreigners here. We arrived in Pai around 2 pm. We took a motorcycle taxi from the walking street to our accommodation, which was not far away, about 1.30 kilometers. The price was 40 baht per person. We stayed at 2 myfriend, a homestay. The accommodation here is 300 baht per night. There are many types of rooms and prices. In front of the accommodation is a rice field. The atmosphere is good. In Pai, we think that if you want to walk in, you can. Because we saw a lot of accommodation here.

Accommodation for 2MYFRIEND

After checking in to our accommodation, we sat down to relax. Our initial plan was to have a motorbike taxi take us around Pai for 200 baht, but after traveling a long distance, we decided to rest at our accommodation. We witnessed a lovely moment when a foreigner at our accommodation bought a variety of Thai fruits and arranged them for a photo. It was adorable! Almost all of the guests at our accommodation were foreigners, and it made me feel proud to be Thai. Afterwards, we walked from our accommodation to find something to eat at the walking street.

At the walking street, there will be food, drinks, souvenirs, clothes and day trips for sale. There are trips around Pai and Mae Hong Son. We also bought a day trip to Mae Hong Son for 700 baht. Most people who come to visit Pai will rent a motorbike to travel around. There are many tourist attractions around Pai, but we didn't go because we didn't have enough time. Finally, after we finished shopping, we went back to our accommodation by asking the motorbike rental shop to drive us because the motorbike taxi was gone. It would be dangerous to walk back. Get ready to rest. The next day we will go to Mae Hong Son. I will review Mae Hong Son again. Thank you for following. ^_^
