Many of you may have seen pictures or heard the name "Thung Prang Thong" before. It's safe to say that it's become a hot topic on the internet. But do you guys know where Thung Prang Thong is actually located in Rayong? ... Today, we're going to take you on a tour of "Pak Nam Prasae Community," the home of Thung Prang Thong and many other amazing things that you shouldn't miss... Get your wallets ready, and let's go!

"Pak Nam Prasae Community" is located on the southeast coast of Klaeng District, Rayong Province. For this trip, we traveled by private car. It takes about 3 and a half hours from Bangkok to Pak Nam Prasae Community. Alternatively, you can take a van from Bangkok to Chanthaburi. You can board the van at the van terminal next to Century Plaza, Victory Monument. The fare is 200 baht. Don't forget to tell the driver, "Brother, I'll get off at Prasae Intersection." Then, there are 3 options: 1. Call a motorcycle taxi to your accommodation. 2. Call a trailer to your accommodation. 3. Call your accommodation and ask if they can pick you up.

We stayed at "Baan Chana Chon Homestay", a large wooden house located right next to the Prasae River. The owner told us that the house is over 100 years old. His father and grandfather used to be fishermen, but now they have opened a homestay to avoid loneliness (and it's true, the place is always fully booked). There are a total of 7 rooms: 1 room for 2 people and 6 rooms for 4-5 people. If you come with 1-2 people, they charge 450 baht/person/night. If you come with 3 or more people, they charge 400 baht/person/night. For more information, you can visit this link: http://banchanachon.com/ Or if you want to see other homestays, you can visit this link: http://www.prasaetour.com/homestay.php

We're here! If there's no parking at home, you can park at the shrine across the street.

And this is what Chana Chol Homestay looks like…

The advantage of a wooden house is that no matter how hot it is outside, as soon as you enter the house, you will feel cool without having to turn on the fan. As for the bathroom, it is a shared bathroom, but you don't have to worry about cleanliness, because it is very, very, very, very, very, very clean. And there are enough bathrooms for everyone who stays here, I can confirm that.

We've finished exploring the accommodation, and our next plan is to find lunch! Right now, our stomachs are rumbling, and we need something to fill them up quickly...

"Excuse me, are there any restaurants around here that serve cooked-to-order dishes?"

"There's a younger sibling turning left here, stuck in traffic. Why? Are they going to eat?"

"Actually, we can eat anything right now."

"I have green curry with fish balls, I made it this morning. Want to try it?"

"Umm, well, how much would you charge?"

"Oh my god, it's perfect! It's just the right amount. Come on, let's try it! My mom made it on the Khrua Khun Toi show, it's really delicious, I'm telling you."

"Yes, please."

"Okay, then N'Roni will do. I'll warm it up for you."... The accommodation was lovely, but the owner was even lovelier (:

The food is as delicious as the owner claims. The curry is flavorful and the fish balls are made of pure fish meat, no fillers. The view of the Prasae River adds to the enjoyment. Let's eat up and get going on our adventure!

Even though we have our own car, today we're going to travel by trailer. That's because riding a trailer around Pra Sae is one of the signature experiences here. You can find trailers all over the Pra Sae community. The price depends on the distance and location, as well as where we want to visit and how far apart each place is. Today, we chartered a ride to the Pra Sae Bridge, the Laem Son Beach viewpoint, the HTMS Prasae Warship Memorial, the Thung Prang Thong field, and Wat Takhian Ngam. The super cool auntie charged us 350 baht, which comes out to 175 baht per person. To avoid wasting time, we greeted the auntie, hopped on the trailer, and off we went! (The person on the trailer is my friend, isn't she pretty?)

This is a travel map of Pak Nam Prasae community. Today, we chose to go to the lower zone first (you can also see this link http://www.prasaetour.com/about.php)

A 7-8 minute ride on a trailer from the accommodation brought us to the "Saphan Prasaesin".

Even though the sky is overcast, we can still clearly see the vibrant colors of the fishing village.

The next station is "Lamson Viewpoint"... less than 10 minutes from Prasaesin Bridge, you will reach Lamson Viewpoint. This area has a cape that juts out into the sea, with pine trees growing all over the beach, so it is called "Lamson". On the opposite side is the Sommotithepthanaram Temple. If you want to make merit, worship the Buddha, go ahead. But don't forget to take beautiful pictures at the viewpoint. If you have some time, we recommend ordering grilled chicken and papaya salad to sit and eat by the beach.

Next, let's head to the "Royal Thai Navy Ship Prasae Monument." It only takes 5 minutes to get here from the Laem Son viewpoint.

The HTMS Prasae 412 has participated in 32 combat operations. This ship was once part of the United Nations fleet during the Korean War, where it served as a patrol, shore bombardment, and anti-communist sea threat vessel. After being decommissioned (June 22, 2000), the municipality coordinated with the Royal Thai Navy to establish this warship as a memorial, open to the public for free every day from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

And now we come to the highlight of our day. From the Royal Thai Navy Monument, walk straight ahead into the Thong Proong field…

"Thung Prang Thong" is a conservation-based tourist attraction with a 2.5-kilometer-long wooden bridge for us to walk and enjoy the nature and mangrove forests of Pak Nam Prasae. Let me tell you, the location is amazing! Come for one day and you'll have enough photos to post for the next half year. 😂😂😂😂 But be careful when you're posting or doing anything else, because the wooden bridge doesn't have any railings. If you fall and encounter a water snake, you're in for a real treat... The place is open every day from 6 am to 6 pm, and there's no entrance fee. If you want to see the field in green, come in the morning. If you want to see the field in gold, come in the evening. But no matter when you come, please remember to keep the place clean. Promise me! 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Not yet... Not yet finished.

This bridge in the middle of the water is a must-have photo op... Kinfolk vibes all the way.

Walk a little further and you will find this giant tree...

Next is a bamboo forest in Osaka Prefecture, Japan... Wrong... But it looks like it.

The final stop is a viewpoint where you can take 360-degree photos with the "poprong" trees. It's recommended to go on weekdays, as it gets crowded on Saturdays and Sundays. Getting a photo without other people in it will require some patience. For more information about the "Thung Prorong Thong" field, please visit this link: http://bit.ly/1QoSVEp

Leaving the golden meadow, we went to pay our respects to the 500-year-old Takian tree at "Wat Takian Ngam" and then went back to sleep at Chana Chorn's house for dinner.

Say goodbye to the sun and hello to seafood! It wasn't until 7pm that we finally got to eat dinner. Today, my brother's guests were many, so we have to understand. Oh, I forgot to mention, if you want to eat dinner here, you have to pay an additional 400 baht per person. I must say that at first, when I saw the 4 dishes, I felt a little sad. Why did I have to pay an extra 400 baht for just this? But then the dishes kept coming, and in the end, the two of us got 8 dishes, 1 pot of rice, 1 large plate of fruit, and unlimited refills of water... So, is this Chana's house or the 4th year of the BBQ Plaza refill?...

I'm still full from dinner, but I have to wake up and eat breakfast already... Today's breakfast is deep-fried dough sticks and rice porridge with fish and cockles. The fish is fresh, the cockles are delicious, and the taste is as good as ever. Most importantly, they boil a new pot for each bowl. Just imagine how much they care about the guests who stay here!

After breakfast, grab the free bikes from the accommodation and let's hit the road!

The first activity of the day is to walk around the morning market of the Pak Nam Prasae community. It's actually a 5-minute bike ride from my house to the market.

However, because we stopped to take pictures of the houses along the way, we were a little slower than the other villagers. Don't be angry with us, okay?

We've arrived at the market! They sell fresh produce, savory dishes, and sweet treats, just like any other local market. But what caught our eye was the friendliness and warmth of the Pra Sae vendors. No matter what we bought or what we wanted to photograph, the locals would greet us and chat with us. They'd ask us how long we'd been there, where we were staying, and if we'd visited certain attractions. It always brought a smile to our faces. (:

This is "Chan Lon," a popular dish among the Chao Lay people. It tastes similar to "Tod Mun" (Thai fish cake), but the difference is that it is grilled.

Seeing a long queue of people buying it, I couldn't resist and bought one myself... 10 baht for a taste of heaven....

From the market, you can go up to "Baan Kao Riverside Road". I must say that cycling here is very enjoyable. There are cute mobiles hanging all along the road. On both sides of the road are houses and shops that still retain their old charm. And it's a clean, livable kind of old that doesn't make you want to change anything about this street. Okay, okay, I'll stop talking. Let's go see for ourselves, shall we?

We stood there for a while, looking around at the door, when an aunt walked up to us and said,

"Go in, kid. You can go in and see. They're raising sea bass inside"... What are you waiting for? Go in! 555555555

As we entered, the old man was feeding the fish. As usual, he asked us how many days we had been on vacation, where we were staying, and if we were having fun.

How can people here be so adorable? <3

Let's continue to "Kru Benja's Cake Shop", a legendary bakery in the Pak Nam Prasae community. Each day, Kru Benja makes different cakes, with no fixed menu. She just follows her mood. But my brother in Chanachon told me that everything is delicious. He has never bought anything that wasn't tasty. Today, I decided to try the taro cake for 70 baht. Is it delicious? Well, it is delicious, but I couldn't finish it all… It was a lot.

The last mission is to return the bike to Chana Chorn's house... check out... and then drive to "Baan Cha Bai Khru".

The Pra Sae Community Enterprise Group has transformed the leaves of the "Khlu" plant into a herbal drink called "Khlu Leaf Tea". This tea not only helps alleviate diabetes, high cholesterol, and promotes urination, but it is also incredibly fragrant, delicious, and easy to drink (so easy that I drank 3 cups in less than 10 minutes). It has become an OTOP product that generates income for the community. If you visit Pra Sae and don't try the Khlu Leaf Tea, you haven't truly experienced the place.

The aunt who takes care of this place briefly explained the process of making Cha Bai Klu to us: "Pick, select, wash, steam, bake, roast, bake, grind, put in a bag, stick a sticker." 55555555555555 Just kidding. The aunt explained it in more detail. This is just a summary. See, they have to bake it twice, the first time in a solar oven and the second time in a heat oven. The pictures I'm sharing are just a teaser. If you want to see the full process, you have to come see it yourself at the Cha Bai Klu tea house. (:

This is when the aunt selects the mature and perfect tea leaves.

This is when grandma roasted tea leaves in an aluminum pan.

After roasting, it must be baked in a pot like this.

Ready to be put in a box, put in a bag, and sold! So fragrant!

All missions at Pak Nam Prasae Community, Rayong Province are completed! I told you that Prasae is not just about Thung Prang Thong. There are many other things to do, such as paying respects at the shrine of Krom Luang Chumphon, feeding sea turtles at Koh Mun Nai. We haven't finished everything yet. We will definitely go back again. Hopefully, this review will be helpful to many people who are interested in Prasae or those who are not. I hope this review will change your mind. Next time, where will we take you? Follow us at http://blissoutthere.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/BlissOutThere.
