"Our journey together is a journey of learning. Our learning together is a journey of understanding. You understand and I understand, making us more confident... in that."

This song has been echoing in my head ever since I first heard it. I'm someone who loves to travel and immerse myself in the stories along the way.... I'm in love with it and I would like to have someone to walk with, learn and collect stories in life, and write the book of life together....

Okay, I'll translate the sentence for you. Here's the translation:

With such an introduction, don't think that I'm here to show off my girlfriend or wife. 5555555555555

I'm lucky to have found someone who shares my interests, especially our love for adventurous travel and trekking through the wilderness.

Many people say that traveling to difficult places, climbing mountains and crossing streams with your partner is a good test of your love. We will see each other's hardships, we will help each other, and we will add weight to the word love together.....

We talked about wanting to climb a mountain together... wanting to try something difficult together... my boyfriend has been to Phu Kradueng before.....

Another name just popped into my head... Phu Soi Dao...

I think it's a good proof of love for a couple. And how good it will be, let's see.

Phu Soi Dao, this name may not be as popular as Phu Kradueng or other mountains, but its charm is more than expected...

The Naga Crest flower... the vast pine forest is what many people often talk about when it comes to this mountain. There are two levels of elevation: 1,600 meters and 2,100 meters. For those who don't have much time and haven't prepared their bodies for several days of hiking, it's recommended to start with 1,600 meters first. This is because the 2,100-meter level is only open during certain periods. If it rains, it will be closed for a long time. Moreover, to reach 2,100 meters, it takes an additional 2 days from 1,600 meters, and the path is much steeper. If you're not really ready, don't even try.

And of course, for this trip… my girlfriend and I decided to start with a taste of 1,600 as an appetizer…

For those traveling from Bangkok, take a bus from the Bangkok Bus Terminal (Mo Chit) to Phitsanulok Bus Terminal. As for me and my girlfriend, we traveled from Maha Sarakham Bus Terminal to Phitsanulok Bus Terminal.

We originally planned to wait for the 5 am bus, but we happened to meet a group who were traveling together from Sakon Nakhon. We got to talking and found out that they were also going to Phu Soi Dao. They had hired a car to pick them up from the bus station, so they invited us to share the cost. They ended up paying 1800 baht for the round trip from Phitsanulok bus station to Phu Soi Dao. When we divided it among 7 people, it was much cheaper than traveling on our own. (The average cost of a one-way bus ticket is about 200 baht, and there are multiple transfers, which could have made us miss our chance to climb Phu Soi Dao.)

From Phitsanulok Bus Terminal, it takes about 2-3 hours to reach the Phu Soi Dao National Park headquarters. During the journey, there is a stop at the morning market to buy food for 4 meals (breakfast, lunch during the hike, dinner on the mountain, and breakfast before descending).

On top of Phu Soi Dao, there are also cooking equipment rentals available. If it's convenient to carry it, you can, but it's recommended to rent it. The food that should be carried should be easy to cook, not restaurant-level, because it will be too much of a hassle.

We arrived at the office around 8 am, registered as tourists, and waited to weigh the luggage that the porters would carry up the mountain. Around 9 am, a car picked us up from the office and took us to the starting point of the hike.

Take a deep breath, gather your thoughts, and start your first step towards the mountain peak...

At the foot of Phu Soi Dao, there is a waterfall called Phu Soi Dao Waterfall, which welcomes tourists. You can go down and play in the water as you please.

Due to the fact that there are not many tourists yet, perhaps because the walking route is difficult, the nature in this area is still abundant.

Another thing that impressed me was that the park does not allow any commercial activities on the top, except for the park rangers themselves. There are also no facilities for tourists, as this would indirectly damage the natural environment. This may be a disadvantage for tourists, but I feel it is much better than sacrificing the natural abundance of the area.

The porters here are incredibly tough. They carry at least 20 kg each, and some even carry more than 50 kg. Even young children work as porters! The paths are incredibly steep, but they walk incredibly fast, even faster than tourists walking without any luggage!

I actually carried my camera up to take pictures along the way, but when I reached the first 2 kilometers, I had to put the camera away and just focus on walking. 5555555555555

1. I can't walk any further. I'll leave you here. (This is a polite way of saying that the speaker is tired and wants to stop walking.)

2. The Hill of the Defeated (No matter how skilled you are, this hill will make you cry)

3. Neen Pa Ko (I don't know what this means, but it makes me feel the most comfortable 55555555)

4. Tiger Hill (This is clearly a threat with a tiger!!)

5. Death Hill (.........)

I walked to the last hill, where there is a rest stop for us to sit and prepare ourselves before climbing to the top of the mountain in the picture.

Let me tell you, it was quite a journey to get here. My partner and I were trekking through the forest, and we ran out of water halfway through. We were so thirsty that we were even considering drinking water from leaves! Luckily, we came across a vendor selling food and drinks, and they were kind enough to help us out. Otherwise, I'm not kidding, we would have been chewing on leaves for sure.

But that's it. Because we still have people we need to take care of, and we still have people who care about us, who encourage each other. How can we give up here?

The Death Slope probably doesn't need much explanation. The name speaks for itself. This slope is the steepest of the 5, and the trail follows the ridge up.

However, the view from the top of the Death Hill is truly breathtaking, as the story goes. It gives us a lot of energy. After passing this peak, the path will be less steep.

This is the first man-made object we've seen that has made us feel so happy... a fence railing! We've finally arrived! We almost cried and almost ran to hug, kiss and stroke it!

Once we pass this point, we'll be at the lawn. Yay!

Thousands of pine trees line the field, waiting to welcome tourists.

Reaching this point, we knew the pine trees were beautiful, but they paled in comparison to the charm of our nearly 7-hour climb.

We arrived at the pine forest at 4 pm. It was 7 hours of extreme exhaustion and torture. But when I looked at my boyfriend's face... hey, we made it! We went through all this hardship together, but we didn't fight at all. We encouraged each other all the way...

The hardship turned into an incredibly good memory, huh?

Upon arrival, we set up our tents, rented cooking equipment, and then had some instant noodles to recharge.

Let's go see the star of the show, the Giant Water Lilies…

The flower's name comes from its appearance. I didn't do much research on it. When I went there, there were a lot of them blooming. There are also many beautiful photo spots here.

On the top of the mountain, there is a waterfall for you to see. Its name is Sai Thib Waterfall.... It is located on the way to the pine forest. It is not difficult to find.

During the rainy season, there should be more water, so you might be able to get some beautiful waterfall pictures.

As evening approached, we decided to prepare dinner first before taking you to watch the sunset at the cliff's edge.

It was a beautiful sunset, Madame Mod. It's even more beautiful when you have someone by your side to watch the sunset with. It's so annoying (don't scold me yet).

Have you ever wondered why this place is called "Phu Soi Dao"?.....Just imagining the name makes my heart tremble...Soi Dao?.....How clear must it be to be called Phu Soi Dao?.....

Check it out.....

The Milky Way is in full force tonight! I can see it clearly with my naked eye, and the sky is full of stars. It's so beautiful! And with a big elephant like this, I'm screaming at the top of my lungs! 75 on the Richter scale!

Is there anything better than gazing at millions of stars with your soulmate? Don't you think so?

The sunrise here isn't as charming as the sunset, but the sight of the morning sunlight combined with the rows of small and large pine trees always makes me smile...

The two days I spent conquering Phu Soi Dao with my girlfriend were truly unforgettable.

We have seen each other's exhaustion.....we have endured together. We were very miserable when we went up the mountain, but we were also very happy to suffer together. It's probably true what they say....love is a journey for two. No matter how tired, difficult, or happy we are, as long as we have each other, it will be a good memory for the two of us.....

Many people tend to take their lovers to the beach or waterfalls, places where many people go... But I would like you to try coming to a place that is difficult for once. Try holding your lover's hand and overcoming the fatigue together... I think it's a great way to create a love story. And you will love your lover more than any other trip, just like I love her very much.

Thank you for reading this far.

Thank you for everything that made such wonderful memories.

Thank you, my love, for holding my hand and walking with me all the way. You never let go, no matter how steep the path became.

Thank you. Kisses.
