Hello.
This is my first review in over a year, and I've been gone for a long, long time. First of all, let me tell you all that I have now resigned from my job at the embassy. I must say that it was difficult to make up my mind, but after I set out on my journey, it made me realize what I wanted to do and where I wanted to go. It made me...
We know what we want to do and what we really want.
And I would like to thank everyone who has visited my page, which is not a popular page at all. I just want to have friends to chat and exchange information with, have fun, and exchange beautiful pictures. Let's be friends. ^^
After I did a review of Angkor Wat
After my review in Penang, I went to Vang Vieng, which was a lot of fun, especially because I got to ride the free train. I'll do a retrospective review when I have time for you guys to read for fun. I also had the opportunity to stay in Phuket for 2 months, which was a lot of fun. I worked part-time to earn money to travel around Phuket, and I also went to the nearby provinces of Krabi and Phang Nga.
After that, I traveled around Europe. But right now, I'm still buzzing with excitement from my NASA experience. I never thought I'd have the chance to have an experience like this. As someone who loves space, stars, and the universe, it's an indescribable feeling.
We've talked enough, let's go touch space! The space shuttle is about to take off... ^^ Many people probably already know that NASA is located in Florida, Cape Canaveral, which is the point with the lowest gravity in the United States. When I traveled, I used a taxi sharing method with my friends. Of course, I asked my friend to sit in the front seat next to the driver.
The road we were on was kind of like a motorway back home, but not really. It was more like a smaller road, and we kept turning off the main road onto smaller and smaller roads until we finally saw this sign.
The taxi driver saw me taking pictures almost all the time, as if he was a little annoyed. So I had to keep talking to him about this and that. After a while, he told me a lot of things, so much that I felt like it was too much, brother. I'm going to take a picture...
Does anyone else feel the same way as me? When we are impressed by something, we often get goosebumps all over our body. I don't know why.. ^^
This is the ticket booth, which is located right next to the front parking lot. You have to buy a ticket first and then show it at the front. The ticket price is $50, which is the same price for the entire tour of the center, except for special events. For example, if you go on a day when a space component is being sent out of the world, you will have to pay extra if you want to see it. Or if you want to have lunch with an astronaut, you will have to pay extra. ^^
What you will receive from purchasing the ticket is a map for sightseeing.
This is the entrance. As someone who loves space, coming here was an amazing experience. I was happy, impressed, and excited. Many things made me feel very excited. I was so excited that I didn't know what to do, like a child waiting to go through the entrance of an amusement park. And because of this excitement, I was very nervous...
Before entering the museum after purchasing our tickets, an officer will provide us with an entry pass. We then present this pass to the officer at the entrance, who will request permission to inspect our belongings. They will use a metal detector similar to those used at airports, but the process is not as strict. It's more like the security checks at our local subway stations. However, they take the metal detector signals seriously and may request a more thorough inspection of our bags if necessary.
The officer's politeness helped to calm my nerves. He kept me engaged in conversation, which I really appreciated. This experience left me with a very positive impression of the staff here. I felt that everyone was genuinely happy to help tourists in any way they could. :)
Once you enter, this is the first thing you will see. The interior is divided into different sightseeing spots, such as:
Apollo Rocket Walkway, Children's Play Dome, Astronaut Memorial, Imax Theatre, Atlantis Space Shuttle and Space Center Bus Tours. ^^
At this point, the friend who shared the car fare with me has disappeared somewhere, or maybe it's me who has disappeared from the group of friends... 5555
Since we all have different interests, I'll start with the Bus Tour. This tour is included in the ticket price, so you don't have to pay extra. The bus will take us to see the launch site, which is located away from the Space Center. It's kind of like a safari ride, but we won't be getting off the bus. The bus will drive around to different points, and a staff member will provide commentary at each stop. When the tour is over, the bus will take us back to where we started. ^^
After that, I took a walk around. There were tourists from many states here. From what I gathered from talking to them, it was their first time here because it's not easy to find an opportunity to come. And the real highlight of this place is the Atlantis Space Shuttle. ^^
Inside this building is an exhibition about the Atlantis spacecraft, from the front entrance there will be inspirational quotes or anything along the way. But for me, it's a very inspiring message. It makes me feel very impressed by the effort. Before achieving this level of success, we must go through a lot of effort. Obstacles will be overcome if we have the effort. And besides that, we must have faith, believe that it will succeed, and it will succeed.
The music playing inside the building all the time is very inspiring. I can't explain it, but it's like the music that plays when the space shuttle returns safely to Earth in a Hollywood movie. Haha.
As we reached the end of the path (which I thought was the end), we came across a large hall with movies playing. We sat down and enjoyed the movie (and even got some inspiration). When the movie ended, an official came out from the side and the door under the screen opened, revealing another room inside. The official asked for our cooperation, saying that no flash photography or video recording was allowed during the movie. ^^
And after the movie ended, the curtain at the back was opened, what I saw in front was the Atlantis spacecraft!!
Wow... I'm about to cry. I never thought I'd see the real thing. It's a feeling that can't be described with words other than "impressed." ^^
Inside, there are various exhibitions about the Atlantis spacecraft. There are simulations for us to play with. It's a lot of fun.. ^^
And then there's the spaceflight simulation, which gives us the experience of being an astronaut. The best part is that this simulation is free of charge! It's included in the ticket price, so you can just walk right in. However, you'll need to leave your belongings at the entrance. There are lockers provided for your convenience.
The exit of the building will be a souvenir shop. ^^
For me, the entrance fee is not an issue. At first, I invited many friends to go with me, but many of them refused because the tickets were expensive and there were travel expenses. But personally, I think that money is not as important as knowledge, and the opportunity to experience something like this is not easy to find. Once in a lifetime, if I don't go this time, I don't know when I will have the chance again...
If you have a dream, go for it! Don't be afraid of failure. Just try it. How will you know if you don't try?
Finally, I would like to leave my page with you. I would like to have friends to talk to and exchange travel experiences. ^^
