Koh Lipe, also known as the Maldives of Thailand, is an island located in the southernmost part of Thailand. It is known for its beautiful beaches and clear waters, and is famous for its stunning turquoise waters and white sandy beaches.

Koh Lipe, meaning "flat island" like "paper", comes from the local language of the Chao Nam or Chao Le (Urak Lawoi tribe) on the island, who are mostly fishermen. The island is surrounded by pristine coral reefs and has beautiful bays with fine white sand.

The most beautiful bay is Pattaya Bay. On the 13th-15th of the 6th and 11th lunar months, villagers of seafaring descent gather on this island for a traditional boat-floating ceremony. According to their beliefs, this ceremony drives away bad luck and predicts the future of their profession. Lipe Island and the nearby islands are so beautiful that they are known as the Maldives of Thailand.

On this trip, Maenam had the opportunity to stay at the Idyllic Concept Resort, a 4-star resort on Sunset Beach. Let's go check it out.

Before boarding the plane, let's get to know Koh Lipe briefly.

This is a screenshot from the website Koh Lipe Dot Com. To get to Koh Lipe, you need to take a boat from Pak Bara Pier.

Upon landing at Hat Yai Airport, you can take a taxi to Pak Bara Pier for 1,500 baht or a van for 2,000 baht if you are traveling with a group. The journey from the airport to the pier takes approximately 2 hours.

If you're on a budget and don't want to hire a car, you can take the airport van or a shared taxi to the minivan station at Kaset Market in Hat Yai city center. From there, you can take a minivan to Pak Bara Pier. This option should take around 3 hours.

Ideally, choose a flight that arrives in Hat Yai early in the morning so that you can catch the 11:30 AM boat trip.

This trip, we chose to use the services of Singto to take us there.

Our first time with the little lion.

Information on boat trips to the island from the pier

Let me check the schedule for you to see which ferry you can catch. During low season, the ferry schedule is reduced.

However, there are ferries every day at 11:30 AM, so you should try to catch the 11:30 AM ferry.

This is a sailing schedule with information from the easylipe.com website.

I would like to share this information with my friends.

And then we arrived at Pak Bara Pier just in time for the 11:30 am boat.

It takes almost 2 hours to get to the island by boat.

There are two types of boats to the island: speedboats and air-conditioned ferries. The journey time is about the same for both, around 2 hours.

The first type is a cheap blowjob that costs around 400-600 baht per session. You can find them at shops around the pier, but the price is not fixed and depends on the seller.

Check out this thread where people are asking questions and many people have responded. http://pantip.com/topic/31943866

If you take a speedboat, they will take you to visit Koh Khai and Koh Tarutao as well. So you will arrive at Koh Lipe at the same time as the ferry even though it is faster.

This is an air-conditioned ferry. There is only one trip per day, which is the outbound trip at 11:30 AM and the return trip from the island at 9:00 AM. It runs all year round.

It's more comfortable than a speedboat, with cool air conditioning and it's not scary. However, it doesn't stop at the islands like a speedboat. It runs straight to the island. The ticket price is about the same.

We have assigned seats, please sit according to your assigned number and do not fight over seats.

It took almost 2 hours by boat to get here.

The boat will dock at the middle of the sea pier in front of the island at Pattaya Beach.

And then pay the fee and the boat fare to the island, 100 baht per person.

And then queue up to take a long-tailed boat to the shore in front of Pattaya Beach.

We stayed at the Idyllic Concept Resort.

Located on Sunset Beach, which is on the other side of this beach, the resort sent a boat to pick us up at the pier.

You can also walk through the walking street to get there.

The hotel we are staying at, we have arrived.

We finally arrived at our accommodation, Ideal Concept Resort, a 4-star hotel on the Sunset Beach side.

Ranked by TripAdvisor as one of the top 3 on Koh Lipe.

The beach in front of the hotel is absolutely beautiful.

Let's check in first.

We arrived here just after 2 pm, starving because we didn't have time to grab anything to eat when we changed boats at Pak Bara Pier.

So I came here with a rumbling stomach to eat this.

Enjoy this simple menu, it's delicious and affordable.

I'm full. Let's go to the room.

This is our room, sir. It's behind this banana tree.

The resort also has another swimming pool that is rarely used. Most people go to the beach instead.

Let's go check out the room.

The large room is beautiful and modern. I was surprised that there was such a nice place to stay on the island.

The bathroom is completely open, no curtains.

A very large bathroom.

It just so happened that during my stay, they were holding a wedding ceremony on the beach, so I captured some of the happy moments to share with you.

In the evening, let's go watch the sunset at Sunset Beach near the mountain. They say the sunset is very beautiful.

I walked leisurely along the beach until I reached the end, which was about a kilometer away.

We're here.

After watching the sunset, we returned to the hotel for dinner.

Sitting and looking at the moon in front of the resort is also beautiful.

Come and eat here! The food is delicious and affordable.

Good morning, let's take a look at the breakfast here. Breakfast is included in every room at this accommodation.

And although the breakfast buffet here is not huge, it is complete and delicious.

Here is another room option for you. This is the cheapest room available.

What day are you returning?

We chose to return on the last boat that left the island.

It has to be a speedboat. The hotel will arrange the boat tickets for this price.

To get there, you'll need to take a long-tail boat to the middle of the sea off Pattaya Beach.

Then wait to board the boat according to the time at the pier.

If you are on a boat, it is recommended to sit on the right side (right side of the bow) to avoid the sun. The right side is exposed to the sun all the way.

It took an hour and a half to reach the port.

Then I arrived at the airport at almost 8 pm.

Our flight, with the lion cub, is the last flight of the day.

That's all for now. I hope you enjoyed it.

Thank you for watching.

Mom Pranom, you see.
