7:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Wat Yansangwararam Worawihan - Buddha Statue Carved from Khao Chi Chan - Silverlake Vineyard

Hello everyone at ReadMe… Today, I'm presenting… a new episode, a new chapter, but from the same writer.

Let's start right away… so we don't waste any time.

7.30 a.m. Everyone is ready!!! (All the seniors, fellow travelers)

7:35 AM Depart for Chonburi Province via Sukhumvit Road heading towards Chonburi Province to Bang Lamung District. Turn left from Sukhumvit Road at kilometer 160 and drive for another 5 km.

8.30 a.m. Stop for a car break (refill gas) and use the restroom at the Motorway Rest Stop.

10:00 a.m. to Wat Yannasangwararam Woramahawihan. Wat Yannasangwararam Woramahawihan is a striking sight with its "Phra Borommathat Chedi Maha Chakri Phiphat", a majestic white chedi, and other important religious structures such as replicas of the "Mahathat Chedi of Buddha Gaya" and the "Phra Maha Mondop Phra Phutthabat B.E. 2523". Climbing the 200 steps of the Naga stairs will lead you to the worship of the Buddha's footprint carved on a stone (I must say, the entrance is quite confusing, to put it mildly. In short, if it's your first time, be prepared to get lost).

******Every time I make merit, I feel at ease.******

10:30 AM: Travel to the Khao Chee Chan Buddha statue carved into the cliff face. This seated Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya posture is a replica of the Phra Phuttha Nawarat Bophit statue, blending Sukhothai and Lanna art styles. It stands 109 meters tall, with a lap width of 70 meters and a lotus base (or bhua balang) 21 meters high. The total height of the Buddha statue and base is 130 meters. It is a low-relief carving created using laser light and then gilded according to the pattern. His Majesty the King graciously granted permission to name the Buddha statue "Phra Phuttha Maha Wachira Uttamo Phasa Satsada," which means "The Buddha, the glorious and radiant teacher, like the Great Vajra." (30 minutes)

Very beautiful and very hot too

11:00 AM Depart for Silver Lake Vineyard, located next to the Khao Chee Chan Carved Buddha. The vineyard boasts breathtaking views and a large reservoir that reflects the sunlight, creating a shimmering silver effect, hence the name Silver Lake. (30 minutes)

11:30 AM Depart from Silver Lake Vineyard for lunch.

12.30 p.m. Lunch at Uncle Saiwai Restaurant, the southern end of Jomtien Beach. It is known as another famous restaurant serving fresh seafood at reasonable prices. It has been a guarantee of deliciousness for tourists in Pattaya for 30 years.

Full and sleepy

13.30 p.m. Relax and enjoy the view of the sea in Pattaya.

2:00 PM Souvenir Shopping at Maekimbuay Souvenir Center

Maekimbuay Souvenir Shop is located on the side of the motorway heading towards Bangkok, before Fly Now. If you're driving from Pattaya, take the motorway and the shop will be in the Si Racha area. It's easily accessible with parking available in front of the souvenir center building.

This shop is popular with local vendors selling freshly made snacks that are specialties of Chonburi province, such as:

  • Khao Lam (Sticky Rice in Bamboo): A traditional Thai dessert made with sticky rice, coconut milk, and sugar, cooked inside a bamboo tube.
  • Khanom Mo Kaeng (Coconut Custard Dessert): A rich and creamy dessert made with coconut milk, eggs, and sugar.
  • Khanom Bai Chaak (Palm Leaf Pancakes): Sweet pancakes made with rice flour, coconut milk, and palm sugar, wrapped in banana leaves.
  • Jaeng Lon Yang (Grilled Banana Rolls): A sweet and savory snack made with grilled bananas wrapped in sticky rice dough.

The freshness and variety of the snacks make this a popular stop for many travelers.

8:00 p.m. arrived safely in Bangkok.

**Thank you to everyone who joined us on this trip and participated in the activities. This month, there were fewer people.***

It ended abruptly. See you again... next time... Rayong, even though it's far, I'll go....!!!
