After learning Open water at Koh Tao
<<<< http://pantip.com/topic/34967181>>>>
This time, I'm reviewing another diving course.
But this time it's an advanced course.
Studying at
“ D I V E A H O L I X "
I can say that the advanced course is really worth it.
With "Brother Bert" as the teacher this time.
The course is divided into two parts: theory and practice.
During the theory session, Teacher Bert emphasizes safety a lot!
Emphasize again and again, lol. The content of the advanced course will include
Deep Diving, Peak performance buoyancy
Underwatwr Navigator, Wreck Diving and Fish Identity
Studying with Teacher Bert, I can say that it's really worth it. Studying from 7pm to midnight
The theory is perfect!! Of course
.
.
Next, let's talk about the actual practice.
Teacher Bert made an appointment to go to Saemsar, Chonburi.
He said he wanted us to try the current.
Because it will give us a lot of experience.
Yes.....and then we traveled to Saemsar together.
The accommodation is...Baan Rim Khao Resort.
It's near the pier, easy to travel.
There's a swimming pool too. The price here is 1,000 baht per night.
..................................................................................................
DAY 1
I woke up early today and left my accommodation at 7:30 am. I rushed to the pier
to prepare my equipment ......
Today we will go diving with the boat "Wayoon".
The boat price is 2,500 baht per day (3 Dives/day) and the equipment rental fee is another 400 baht.
On board there is a bathroom, snacks, coffee-sweet drinks,
fruit is also provided. And... this boat makes delicious lunch, I like it!!
...............
Dive 1 Ao Khai
Today, we went to Ao Khai, which is not very deep.
It is a wide sandy area with not many corals.
Here, we reviewed all the skills and practiced buoyancy control.
This dive took about half an hour.
..............
Dive 2 Sinking of the HTMS Sukhothai (Hardeep)
This was my first deep dive ever.
The current here was incredibly strong....
I've never dived in such strong currents before.
To descend, we had to climb down a rope, which was not easy.
The current was so strong that if you let go of the rope, you'd be swept away.
And the rope was covered in barnacles and oysters, which kept pricking my hands. Haha!
I'd rather have sore hands than let go (the current was really strong).
Finally, I reached the bottom of the sea, which was 27 meters deep. The water wasn't very clear.
There was a lot of sediment, and I could only see the ship faintly.
My instructor led me to shelter from the current near the ship.
Here, I could finally rest my arms. The instructor then demonstrated some skills.
We didn't have much time at the sunken ship, only about 35 minutes.
Now it's time for the ascent... This is the highlight.
We climbed the rope... We climbed and climbed until we reached the point where we had to make a safety stop.
The current was so strong, even stronger than the descent. Oh my god!! The regulator was shaking so much.
It felt like it was going to come out of my mouth.
As for the rope grip, it reached a point where I couldn't hold on any longer.
I was really running out of strength.
The current was so strong that it was swaying me back and forth.
If you can't imagine it, think of a Japanese koi fish flag.
We reached the peak of this dive.
After the safety stop, we climbed the rope almost to the boat.
Suddenly, my fin came off my foot a little.
I reached out to grab it and put it back on, but as I bent my leg in,
it flew away with the current.
I couldn't swim after it... I couldn't catch it in time.
Goodbye...
I lost money... but I got a fin back home, one side of it 55. I'll use it to swat mosquitoes!
After this dive, I can tell you that I'm completely exhausted.
...............
Dive3 The Grand Theatre.. The Cinema
The current here is not as strong as before, which is good.
This dive went down to about 18 meters. There are corals to see around here.
But the water wasn't very clear today, so I couldn't see much.
The water is not very clear, but you can still see the coral.
The first day is over... I'm exhausted from the 2 dives.
Haha, but it was fun.
Hurry back to the resort.. Sleep and get ready for tomorrow!
..................................................................
DAY 2
Same as yesterday... woke up early to prepare equipment on the boat.
Then, Teacher Bert taught us how to tie knots... and
let us try using a compass.
Everyone seems to be born for this... doing it with ease 555
Arriving at the first dive of the day
Dive 4 Shark Fin Rock
They say that...
Shark Fin Rock is the most beautiful underwater spot in the area.
It was quite a distance from the shore... over an hour.
By the time we arrived, I had been seasick several times. And then we finally reached Shark Fin!
As soon as we arrived, I immediately jumped into the water. I didn't want to stay on the boat and get seasick anymore.
When I got into the water, I turned around and saw that my two friends hadn't gotten off the boat.
Then someone shouted at us to swim out.
So I swam out with my three other companions in misery.
When I looked back at the boat, I felt like it was getting farther and farther away.
In the middle of the sea...the waves are high and very strong, like they're towering over my head.
And they're pushing me further and further away from the island.
At that moment, it felt like...
..........completely lost...........
And then...oh my god!! Why do I have to be floating in the middle of the sea like this?
And then...
I floated for a while...and then the boat came back! Yay!!
When we got up, we found out that.....
The waves pushed the boat towards the rocks, so we had to pull the anchor out.
Otherwise, the boat would have hit the rocks and might have sunk.
They didn't mean to leave us behind.
And then this dive had to be cancelled. I couldn't go down to see the underwater world.
The teacher said..... I just let you go down to practice your survival skills 5555
(There are tears hidden in the number 5 5555 T^T )
............
Dive 5 Ao Khai
Back to Ao Khai. Today, the water at Ao Khai is clear and cool, and we can see the fish.
This time, it's a fun dive with photos. This dive lasted almost an hour.
Let's see the pictures!!
I feel like the water is clearer today than yesterday.
..............
Dive 6 The shadow puppet theatre...the cinema
This is the last dive. This dive, the teacher took us to swim near the coral reefs.
There are a lot of fish here. I saw a school of yellowtail fish, stingrays, and so many more.
If you listen carefully while you're underwater, it's like you can hear music.
You can hear it at intervals...it's strange.
The teacher said that it's caused by the wind and the current passing through the rocks, which creates the sound.
There are a lot of fish around here.
(These beautiful pictures were taken by Massy)
That's it! Our Advanced Scuba Diving Course
I can tell you that it was very advanced. I had an amazing experience.
And it was so much fun!!
Thanks for the pictures from Massy's camera and also my friend Boat.
