Hello there! Let's greet each other in a way that suits the atmosphere ^^

I'm currently looking for information to plan a trip to Chiang Mai.

I've read many reviews and all I see is delicious food.

I can't wait any longer, I'd better try some northern food first.

-------

But it's very difficult to find delicious northern food.

I remembered hearing about this restaurant on the Iron Chef Thailand show.

I've been wanting to try it for a long time, so I finally have the chance to go and have a taste. XD

.

.

'Krua Hom'

A small northern Thai restaurant in Soi Ramkhamhaeng 164

.

.

The yellow shop has colorful wooden tables that are cute and inviting.

On the wall of the shop, there are large pictures of the menu, making it very easy to see.

This shop focuses on northern Thai food, which is quite famous.

.

.

Let's take a look at each menu!

Starting with the 'Northern Appetizer' menu (229.-)

Simply put, it's a northern Thai khantoke served in a round, hollow dish.

This menu is considered good value for money because you get to try many different things.

Plus, when I went, the restaurant had a promotion where you got two free sticky rice with this menu. It was amazing!

On the plate you will find:

- Two types of chili paste to choose from (aong chili paste/young chili paste) I chose both

The taste is easy to eat, eat with other side dishes, very delicious.

- Fried pork, fried until the meat is soft, not hard at all.

- Sai Oua, the meat here is very firm, not spicy, the spices are not strong, not greasy.

- Pork crackling and fresh vegetables

.

.

Followed by 'Khao Soi' (59.-)

The taste is average, not spicy. They give a lot of ingredients, both blood and pork bones.

.

.

The highlight menu here is Khao Soi.

There are many options to choose from, including fried pork, fried fish, fried shrimp.

Or if you are a vegetarian, you can choose fried vegetables or tofu.

I ordered 'Khao Soi Chicken Leg' (69.-)

.

.

And 'Soft Pork Khao Soi' (69.-)

I have to say, I absolutely love this dish!

From the first bite, I knew it was delicious.

The broth is so flavorful, it reminds me of a spicy Thai noodle soup.

The coconut milk is rich and creamy, and the flat and crispy noodles are the perfect accompaniment.

The chicken drumstick is tender and juicy, and the pork slices are thick and satisfying.

Served with pickled cabbage, shallots and lime to cut through the richness.

If you're stopping by, I recommend ordering this dish. I guarantee it's delicious.

Another dish I'd like to recommend is 'Spicy Minced Pork Salad' (79.-)

This is the first time I've ever tried this menu.

When I first ordered it, I thought it would taste like the Isaan-style larb and nam tok.

When I took the first bite, I was a little surprised because the taste wasn't as sour or spicy as I thought it would be.

But it was so fragrant with herbs and spices that I couldn't tell what they were lol.

I asked the staff at the restaurant and they said it contains about 20 different northern spices.

It comes with fresh vegetables to eat as a side dish. If you've never tried this menu before, I recommend giving it a try.

.

.

This restaurant doesn't just serve northern Thai food.

There's also a menu of bread and pizza for kids.

Today, I ordered the Cheese Pizza (55 THB).

The aroma was so good when it was served. Lots of toppings, thick cheese, and delicious sauce.

The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. So delicious!

.

.

To end with a sweet menu

'Grass Jelly with Fresh Milk' (45.-)

The cup will contain grass jelly, red beans and longan.

The grass jelly here has a special recipe that is different from other places.

The fresh milk used will have a slight caramel aroma. The top will be drizzled with a thick sauce similar to coconut milk.

But it's actually mashed taro. It's delicious and refreshing in a different way.

.

.

I can tell you that this meal was absolutely delicious! It was so good!

Every dish was delicious, I was really impressed with the taste of the food.

The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

For those who already love the smell of spices and northern Thai food, I highly recommend this restaurant.

For those who have never tried it, I encourage you to come and try it. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

I heard that the restaurant now offers delivery and catering services both on and off-site.

If you're interested, feel free to inquire at the restaurant.
