When I say "toys", it makes me think back to my childhood, a time of pure joy and fun. All I had to do was study and play all day long. I wonder if children in the social media age still enjoy playing with toys like we did back then.
Because I believe that playing with "toys" helps to promote children's imagination a lot. It helps us to have more friends, to share each other's toys. The more you love a toy, the more you'll feel sorry if it breaks or gets lost, right?
Today, I would like to take you on a trip down memory lane to the "Million Toy Museum" located in Ayutthaya Province. This museum was founded by Dr. Krit Yukphan, who was inspired by the Kitahara Tin Toy Museum in Japan, which houses a vast collection of toys.
When the professor returned to Thailand, he began collecting toys. He had been collecting them for over 20 years. Ten years ago, he found this piece of land (in the Hua Laem district of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province) and decided to buy it. He gradually built a museum, which is now known as the "Krit Yunanphan Million Toys Museum".
Inside the museum is a large wooden house with two floors. The ground floor displays old Thai toys from the Sukhothai, Ayutthaya and Rattanakosin periods. There are terracotta dolls, terracotta piggy banks, etc.
The exhibition also showcases the way of life of Thai people through displays of old Thai artifacts and utensils, such as centuries-old glassware.
Early Thai publications, antique furniture, postcards, letters from the early days of the postal service, etc.
The corner that "Pencil wants to write" likes the most is "Miffy". It's so cute, I want to take it home! 555
The second floor is filled with old toys from around the world, including centuries-old celluloid dolls, various tin toys from the pre-mechanical era to those with wind-up and battery mechanisms, various wooden toys, and plastic toys. This floor also features universal toys that have been loved by children of all ages.
Immerse yourself in the joys of childhood until your heart swells with happiness. Before leaving, you can stop by to buy cute souvenirs, whether it's shirts, water glasses, notebooks, or various toys that will remind you of the happiness of your childhood.
And so, our trip to Ayutthaya this time was full of fun and happiness.
