This thread is dedicated to all salaried workers who love to travel, as well as everyone who is passionate about travel.
"I'm tired of working, I want to travel!"
Phrases that are often easily heard from salarymen in this era
Yes, that's right... I'm a salaryman too, and I often find myself saying these things.
This time, I'm going to take you on a tour of the same old place in a different style. Actually, it's not quite right to say that "I" am taking you on a tour, because I wasn't alone. But to say that I went with a friend wouldn't be quite right either. This trip was for... "1 person and 1 creature".
I'm curious to see how amazing this trip will be. Let's stop wasting time, pack our bags and go on a trip to... "Suan Phueng, Ratchaburi".
That's right... the one I'm talking about is the Stormtrooper from the famous movie Star Wars, my favorite character, who will be my partner on this trip. But I'll call him "Sergeant" for short, a local name I made up myself. It's easy to say, uh, simple, and cool, I think.
I once saw someone taking photos with a Stromtrooper at various locations. I noticed the sergeant looking at me, so I couldn't help but ask for one too. I felt a sense of nerdiness, haha.
For this trip, we'll focus on a relaxed itinerary, avoiding an overly packed schedule. We won't be visiting any sheep farms, so let's get started!
I woke up early this morning and missed my flight. It's going to be a big problem if I don't catch the next one.
"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Going to Ratchaburi, driving is enough, right?" Haha
I thought I woke up early, but Sergeant was already sitting in the car with a bored expression, waiting for me. It seems like he's been waiting for a while. "Sorry, Sergeant. Let's go."
I won't talk about the route because I don't know much about it myself, haha... But it's not difficult. Just type "CORO FILED" into Google Maps, which is the first place we'll be going.
Oh! In addition to coming with my favorite plastic basin, I also came with Sergeant's cool Vios vehicle. Of course, Sergeant didn't drive, but I did. Sergeant just slept comfortably as you can see. Today, there was some traffic, but Sergeant's car got us through it quickly. Sergeant is impatient and wants to get there quickly. It was a good decision to choose this car as Sergeant's official vehicle. Even though there was traffic, it was still quite agile.
After driving for a while, Sergeant couldn't hold it anymore and needed to pee. He asked me to help him stop by a gas station to take care of some personal business (Sergeant or Sergeant!! Haha). Well, it's me. After all, after driving for so long, we all have to pee. After taking care of himself, I went to buy some coffee to drink in the car. Then I took some pictures with Sergeant.
Enjoy the drive, cool air, comfortable seats, take it easy, don't rush, there are few roads, many cars, let's share the road, about 2 hours and 30 minutes, we arrived at our first destination.
"Hey, hey, officer! People are trying to take photos, why are you blocking them?"
CORO FILED is an organic farm that can be called a new tourist destination in Suan Phueng. The first time I stepped in, I felt that it was a place with more details than just taking pictures.
Arriving just before noon, we headed straight to CORO CAFE & MARKET to refuel. Don't forget to grab a farm brochure at the entrance and enjoy reading it. It's a unique and creative brochure.
"Hold it steady, Sergeant. Keep it straight."
The brochure looks something like this.
"Melon Katsuo" is a recommended menu that every table has. It looks really good.
Full, let's go... back to Bangkok.

“Just kidding,” he said. “Let’s go for a walk around the farm. It would be a shame to just come here for a meal and then leave, haha.”
The only free activity is walking around and taking pictures. However, if you want to participate in activities such as melon tours and tastings or vegetable planting and tomato picking, there will be a fee. There is a schedule for these activities, which are conducted in rounds.
For the vegetable planting and tomato picking activity, the farm will have equipment prepared. However, I did not participate this time.
The day I went, it was incredibly hot. How hot? Look at the sergeant! He even sat down on the ground.
Glancing at the time
"Hey!! We've been here for over 2 hours and it's time to check in."
Tonight we will be staying at The Canvas Boutique Camp, which is a glamping accommodation in the form of a canvas tent. It's quite peaceful and quiet, perfect for those who truly want to relax and unwind.
Upon arrival, I parked my car in front of the fence. At first, I thought I was the only one staying here. Part of me felt sorry for the dog, afraid that it would have to sleep outside alone. The other part felt sorry for myself... if I stayed alone, it would be too quiet.
"Wow, you're so kind! You even helped me call customers. Be careful, you might get hit by a car."
They also have bicycles for rent. The atmosphere in the evening is perfect for cycling. I rode my bike with my girlfriend on the back. Oh my, it was so romantic!
"Wait a minute, when did you get a boyfriend?"
"Sob..."
But...wait a minute. I think I saw something flash near the bike.

Let's let Captain go... let's get back to it.
The room I'm staying in has an atmosphere like this. It's very spacious and not as cramped as I thought. Especially since I'm here alone, it's too spacious. T.T
"Enough, why the drama?"
Upon entering the tent, I immediately turned on the fan and opened the ventilation windows (as seen in the picture, behind the bedside lamp). I opened all the ventilation windows because the weather was quite hot. It's a pity that none of the tents have air conditioning, which makes it seem like this place is only suitable for staying in during the winter. However, it's possible that this is the intention of the resort, to allow guests to experience nature as closely as possible. The amenities provided are standard for most accommodations, including drinking water, towels, soap, shampoo, and a hairdryer in the bathroom (which I didn't take a picture of to avoid disturbing other guests). I can assure you that everything was clean, the water pressure was strong, the cold water was refreshing, and the hot water heated up quickly.
After being scolded for arguing with the bicycle just now, he looked very unhappy with me. Haha.
"Don't be so naughty, Jaa. Be still and cool."
The atmosphere around the accommodation was great. I saw people cycling and there was a space for children to run around and work up a sweat. Oh! The other 5 guests who were staying that day were a group of friends, I think they were probably high school classmates who had arranged to meet up. I saw them sitting around a barbecue that the accommodation had provided, chatting away all night. If you're interested in having a reunion here, you can ask the accommodation to prepare a set of fresh ingredients for a barbecue. I think it's a really enjoyable activity, especially if you're coming with a large group. Give it a try!
After a day of walking, enjoying the scenery and chilling out in the atmosphere, it's time to go to bed. Because we have to wake up early in the morning to go up to see the sunrise at Khao Krajom.
Before going to bed, I set the alarm clock, intending to leave at 4 am. But... the sergeant was so slow that we were an hour late. I hurriedly got dressed and dragged the sergeant into the car and drove to the "Khao Krajom Viewpoint", which is about 35 km away from our accommodation. It's not far, but it was very dark. More importantly, I was with the sergeant, who I'm sure wouldn't be able to help in an emergency.
Based on my research, the road to Krachom Peak is extremely challenging, requiring a 4x4 vehicle for the ascent. I opted to drive my car to the designated checkpoint where officials provided parking. The checkpoint also offers 4x4 services, allowing you to share the cost with other groups. This approach proved ideal for solo travelers like myself (and my furry companion).
I happened to meet a Stormtrooper officer who was protecting the public like us.
Wait! "That's not it."
(Note: This picture was taken after I came down, because it was really dark before I went up, and the pictures were all blurry.)
I arrived at the checkpoint without hesitation, fearing that I wouldn't make it in time to see the sunrise.
Please contact the officer immediately to go upstairs. The distance is about 10 km.
It took 40 minutes, which was a bit long, but it was fun. The atmosphere was great.
And then I finally conquered Khao Krajom! Yay!
There are quite a few off-road groups camping here. The weather is perfect, cool and comfortable at around 20-23 degrees Celsius. You could even walk around naked without feeling too cold.
The eggs slowly emerged. All the tourists, including myself, were so excited that we almost forgot to breathe while taking pictures.
Our Border Patrol Police officers are diligently protecting the territorial boundaries of Thailand without fail.
"Wait, wait, wait, that's the sergeant" - -*
They also have a helipad in case of emergency.
Before I left, I was fiddling with this sign. What should I do? "Go with the one you love" I don't have one. But if I "stay with the one who loves me", it would be nice here. But it looks like it's going to be hot. It's still early in the morning. "Let's go back".
The "difficult" route I mentioned is roughly like this: they had to drive through water that was very high, reaching the middle of the car door. When they arrived at the bottom, it was still early morning, so they stopped by a small market nearby to find breakfast. They ended up with hot sticky rice with fried chicken, sprinkled with crispy fried shallots. It was fragrant, soft, and melted in their mouths. It was so delicious that they were in a state of bliss... As soon as they finished eating, their eyelids started to droop. They were really tired and couldn't go on any further because they had woken up too early. Seeing that there was still time left, they rushed back to sleep for a while before continuing on to Pong Yub. They went to "Pong Yub Hut Ai Yong".
Pong Yub Hutarn is often mistaken for a state park, but it is actually privately owned. The entrance fee is 40 baht for adults, 20 baht for children, and 60 baht for foreigners. Once you have paid, follow the path and a guide will take you around.
"Here's our guide, guys. Come on, Sergeant, be brave! Don't be afraid of heights. Oh, dear."
The vast, arid landscape is a testament to the significant impact of weather on tourist numbers. Yes, it's scorching hot today, which explains the scarcity of tourists. Only a few scattered groups have appeared during my time here, arriving and departing quickly. The heat is truly intense, so carrying an umbrella and water is highly recommended. Our country is tropical, so don't let the heat confine you to your home. Adapt to the hot weather, and life will become easier.
"What are you complaining about? Why are you complaining?" Haha
I tried to imagine what it was like inside before it collapsed, but I really couldn't. It's a natural wonder.
Ja wants to test his courage and show that he is not afraid of heights. It seems that he will not survive. "Enough, sergeant, or I will fall down and lose all my coolness."
I spent about an hour here. The sun is really good. But there are many cool and chic corners to take pictures. After a while, while I was walking back to my car, I suddenly heard a voice from behind.
"Thud!!!"
We've reached the point where the plan is perfectly complete. We've spent the weekend relaxing and enjoying ourselves.
After leaving Pong Yup, I stopped by for lunch and then headed back to Bangkok. I had some time left to do housework, laundry, and prepare for the upcoming Monday.
In the end, I hope this review will serve as a guide for anyone who is feeling bored with their current life and whose spirit is waning. Take this opportunity to take a break and relax. It can also serve as a guide for anyone planning a trip to Ratchaburi. I can assure you that Ratchaburi has much more to offer than just sheep watching. There are many cool and chic places to visit. You can relax and fully recharge your body, freeing yourself from the work you've been doing all week. It's a great way to refresh the minds of us salarymen.
"I can't, officer. I have to work tomorrow. I'll take you out another time, okay?"
See you again... Goodbye.
Go hang around
