In the middle of April, we all got to experience the almost 40-degree weather. If we were to escape to another country to feel the cold wind, the money in our account would scold us and say, "Don't you have any shame?" Okay, then let's go hide from the heat near Bangkok first. Let's go to

' Chanthaburi Monday '

We started our journey on Monday morning. Before we set off, we did some research on how to get to 'Chanthaburi Riverside Community', a place we've been longing for. After finishing our work, if you mention Chanthaburi, most people will only know about the beautiful churches in Chanthaburi city (but this is a minority, because I only found out when I went there myself). And it's also the most beautiful Catholic church in Thailand. But nearby, there's an old community that... Oh my god... I wish every province in Thailand had something like this.

Enjoy the city at a leisurely pace.

We also went to sit and sketch in the church. The interior was truly beautiful.

The rough buildings along the waterfront of Chanthaburi. You can see that, hey, it doesn't look Thai at all. That's because during that time we were heavily influenced by the West, during the reign of King Rama V, who was very fond of Western art. The houses are still visible today, built in the Chino-Portuguese style. If you've never heard of it, I forgive you. I just learned about it myself. Wow, it's surprisingly informative. See that curved corner by the door? It's old, very old. But the shutters keep clicking non-stop. Every corner, every nook, every cranny is shockingly beautiful. What surprised me when I came back was that we had so many pictures of the nooks and crannies of the buildings. It's like everything they have is so memorable.

We think this place is authentically old, not artificially aged. The old houses, combined with the color scheme, some of which have been renovated to fit the era, while others still have stains and marks climbing the walls, create a cohesive whole.

Another thing we love is the simplicity of the existence of our uncles and aunts. Coming out to greet each other, sitting and talking in the pavilion, leaning on the multipurpose pavilion, saying things like, "I'm going to sell fish around here first. Don't go anywhere, Uncle Thong. I'll be back to talk later." Opposite the multipurpose pavilion, there is a chessboard where it is expected that there will be legendary uncles fighting each other. There is a tea shop next to it for sipping when thirsty or adding sugar to the body when about to lose. In front of some houses, there are shops selling things that are legendary to that house, passed down from the old days. Some houses also sell souvenirs. It's actually good because there are only a few shops, so there's no need to compete. To be honest, it looks very peaceful and happy.

And what are we yearning for?

We are witnessing the return of the golden age of youth in Bangkok, fueled by the booming coffee shop and cafe industry. These establishments have become a major attraction for young people like us. This particular cafe is not only aesthetically pleasing but also offers a welcoming atmosphere. It has made us realize that the older generation and our generation can coexist harmoniously. The cafe is located opposite a cooked-to-order food stall, and there is a steady stream of customers. Unlike the cutthroat competition often seen in Bangkok businesses, these two establishments complement each other.

To the chicness of young men and women and the cuteness of uncles and aunts

I tried to show you a lot of pictures, but I forgot to put in the words. 5555

Let's take another look at our beautiful country, which is a great location.
The beauty of it is

We also use pens to keep our memories on paper to prevent forgetting.

At first, I thought the weather wouldn't be as severe as in Bangkok, or maybe I was just imagining it. I had to ask for a smelling salt.

Traveling outside of Bangkok may not be as difficult as it seems. In fact, it's quite similar to taking a vacation. However, once you arrive at the houses in that area, it feels like you're being constantly beckoned. Wait, why is it so creepy? No, no, I mean they're calling you over to see how the houses differ in detail. For example, "I have this window design, but you over there have another one. Why don't you go take a look?" Oh, but before you go, take a picture of me first. One, two, three, click. Something like that.

We've seen a lot of old pictures like this before, but when we actually see the real thing, the pictures we've seen before are just thrown away.

This place definitely can't be seen from just one angle. If you could go and capture some angles to share, it would be a great kindness.

But wait, I'm still wondering, do people in Chanthaburi speak "hi" like this? Like a long "hi" like this, "hi…"
