Hello everyone.. Welcome back to 247Journey

Today we will take everyone to visit a city that is very famous for tourism.

That's 'Pattaya' itself.

If you are ready, let's go see Pattaya in our style!

Many people who visit Pattaya may think of popular tourist destinations like Koh Larn, seafood restaurants,

and renting out pool villas, which are plentiful.

However, for this trip to Pattaya, we would like to suggest another place,

which seems to be quietly hidden in Pattaya but is full of local charm.

And I don't think it will remain in Pattaya City.

That's the "Salt Marsh" community.

...

First of all, let's get to know 'Salt Marsh'.

'Na Kluea' is a small sub-district in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province.

The strange thing is that there are no salt fields here. From what I've read about the origin of the name,

it seems to have come from a distortion of the pronunciation of the first generation of people, which eventually became the name of the sub-district!

What are the interesting places to visit in Na Kluea? ?

Many people who come to Naklua usually stop by famous restaurants,

but as far as I've seen, not many people actually stay here for long.

....

So we thought this trip might make 'Naklua'

become a destination that everyone wants to stay at more often. ^^

Let's start with the accommodation.

For this trip, we chose budget-friendly accommodation with a budget of 1,000 baht.

But after searching around, we only ended up paying a little over 600 baht, and that includes breakfast!

'Ruen Tip Pattaya'

This is a room that has been converted from a former condominium.

The white building is over 10 stories high and is located right on the main road, but you have to look carefully for the sign.

(You can also look for the sign for the restaurant "Muen Aroy", which is probably easier to see.)

---

Walk under the building, this part is the Public zone.

Open the doors and windows on all sides, it's airy and cool.

For breakfast, there will be toast, coffee, and cocoa. You can help yourself to as much as you like.

Let's take a look inside the room!

Although it's not a new, trendy hotel, the rooms have some stylishly decorated corners.

The facilities are complete and good value for the price.

Besides the super affordable rooms, this place is probably the tallest building in Na Kluea.

Because just opening the window, you get a top view of Pattaya.

This is the view outside our room, it's not ordinary!

Coordinates

Location: Na Kluea Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri Province (located directly on Sukhumvit Road)

Transportation: For this trip, we chose to take a van and told the driver to drop us off at Bang Lamung Police Station. However, the van will stop on the opposite side of the road. Once you get off, you can simply cross the street. For those who are taking a tour bus, the hotel provides a shuttle service.

The salt field area itself is not a large community, so it is very suitable for a short trip of 2 days and 1 night.

And you can travel without having to rush, take a break from city life for a bit, hehe.

EP.1 Cycling around the salt fields

After checking in and putting everything away, we wasted no time and went down to rent bicycles under our accommodation.

There are two options for bicycle rental prices.

The first option is 50 baht for 3 hours and 90 baht for 1 day.

We chose the all-day option for peace of mind, so we didn't have to worry about the hours.

We started our bike tour of the salt fields by heading to the Lan Pho Market first.

We will pass a long bridge, which is a recommended spot for everyone to stop by, take pictures of birds, and watch the sunset here.

Most of the houses on the way to the market are residential.

A mix of concrete houses, but there are still some old wooden houses left.

And then we arrived at 'Larn Pho Market', which is an old market in the heart of the community.

It's easy to spot, there's a big Bodhi tree which is the home of 'Lord Pho Ngam'.

Pho Market or Na Kluea Old Market

This market focuses on fresh seafood, and some shops offer grilling services.

It's great to buy it back to eat at the accommodation, but for us, we'll skip this one.

Let's stop at sticky rice with mango first.

This shop is very old, has been selling for almost 40 years, and is delicious as its reputation.

Behind the Lan Pho Market, there is a parking lot with a beautiful view of the sea. You can take pictures here.

There is also a public park area where people can relax and unwind.

But I didn't have time to take pictures of this part, I had to cycle back to escape the rain Y_Y

EP 2. Taste delicious food at affordable prices that won't break the bank

We started our food adventure at "Two Graduates Noodle Shop".

It's located right on the street, near the Lan Pho Market.

This shop is famous for its Yen Ta Fo and fish noodles.

Of course, the menu I ordered had to have fish noodle Yen Ta Fo. That's right, auntie, bring it on!

The next shop is "Meng Kee", which is located nearby. This shop is famous for its roasted duck.

But other menus are equally delicious.

Take a break with dessert "Kanom Café"

A cafe that teenagers love, it's not a fancy cafe like in Pattaya.

But it's a cute cafe at an affordable price.

For dinner, we chose a local seafood restaurant.

"Ko Seafood" is located right on the Saphan Yao Bridge.

The food was delicious, with bold flavors and reasonable prices.

Another highlight of this restaurant is its prime location.

You can enjoy a stunning sunset view while having your meal.

The sunset today was so beautiful that I wished I could stop time right here.

EP 3. Reasons why you shouldn't miss Krating Lai Beach

The next morning, we cycled to find food at the market from the list of restaurants in the room.

We ended up with sticky rice and grilled pork in front of the market.

Hey, hey, hey, this is not your ordinary sticky rice with grilled pork. It's amazing!

There are 2 options to choose from: round and flat. For me, I'm a pure meat lover, I don't like fat.

I ordered several flat ones. 55555

For today's destination, we're heading straight to 'Krating Lai Beach'.

From what I've gathered, not many people talk about this place.

But I have to say, this is almost like a hidden gem in Pattaya.

After telling myself that next time I will allow plenty of time and come back here again.

Getting to 'Krating Lai Beach' is very easy.

We cycled straight ahead, passing Sukhawadee House. When we saw the PTT gas station.

Look for the Sukhumvit-Pattaya 8 sign and turn in. Just follow the road and that's it.

..

For this place, we will briefly summarize why everyone should come here!

'5 Reasons Not to Miss Krating Lai Beach'

1. Krating Lai Beach is a beach with excellent tranquility.

2. It's a clean beach. This might be because it's not yet crowded with tourists.

3. At Haad Krating Lai, there are no sunbeds, but everyone likes to bring mats to have a picnic. It's cool.

4. The walkway along the beach is incredibly shady, with huge trees everywhere. The atmosphere is fantastic!

5. Last but not least, the highlight and most impressive is the cycling path with a 180-degree sea view.

It was a short but fulfilling trip, no need to take any days off.

At the end of this trip, we tried to make a cycling map and coordinates of various shops for you.

In case anyone is interested, don't hesitate, save the map and let's go!

Personally, for us, 'Na Kluea' is like a forgotten community.

But after coming back, this is definitely another trip this year that I won't forget.

The simple charm that can still be found in a tourist city like Pattaya is what makes it so good.

...

Therefore, if anyone is going to visit Pattaya, we would not hesitate to recommend that you try "Na Kluea".
