"Chiang Mai...the province that makes you fall in love over and over again every time you visit"
The starting point of this trip was to see the tiger lilies. When planning the trip, we first set our sights on RC at Ang Khang. Coming down from Ang Khang, we stopped at Mae Rim to soak up the atmosphere of the flower gardens for a night before heading down to the city to have some fun. This was the first time we rented a car to drive around Chiang Mai. We usually just take red taxis, so we don't get to go very far out of town. This time, we decided to drive around as we pleased, and every place we went made our hearts swell with love for Chiang Mai all over again. Okay, before we get carried away, let's take a look at where we went and why we fell in love with you, "Chiang Mai".
Ang Khang, the pink border. I told you that the purpose of this trip was to see the tiger lilies, but another lucky thing is that this year the cherry blossoms are blooming very densely. No matter which corner of the Ang Khang Royal Agricultural Station you drive to, you will see only pink.
A must-do activity when staying at Angkhang Royal Agricultural Station is to wake up early in the morning, very early, at 5 am to watch the sunrise amidst the mist at the strawberry terraces. It's a pity that there wasn't much fog on the day I went, so I focused on taking pictures of the strawberries instead. They may look small, but they're very sweet and crunchy.
After a full day of exploring the Ang Khang Royal Agricultural Station, it was time to head to Mae Rim. On the way down from Ang Khang, don't forget to stop by the Him Nam coffee shop. It's a shame we didn't stop on the way up, but luckily my friend wanted coffee, so we stopped at this shop on the way back. It's a really cool shop. We sat and sipped coffee by the river. If you're curious about how cool it is, try stopping by when you go to Ang Khang.
Let's continue to Mae Rim. We chose to stay at Chic39. We secretly looked at our friends' reviews and thought, "Wow, this is it!" We love the accommodation surrounded by flower gardens. It's a pity that the flowers were cut and sold, so we couldn't send our models into the flower field to take pictures as a keepsake. But it's still good that the flower garden has lights to accelerate the growth of the trees, making it beautiful in another way. Chic39 is not only a place to stay but also a restaurant where the recommended menu is pizza with various toppings. It's baked hot and fresh, which is amazing. Plus, there are beautiful cakes decorated with fruits. We had a lot of fun eating and gained weight during this trip.
Let's move on to delicious food. This time, I wanted to find a delicious dessert shop, but I didn't want to follow the reviews, so I asked the locals for recommendations. JoHoney is a homemade ice cream shop located in the same alley as Love at First Cake. I must admit that when I drove past, the shopfront looked very ordinary. If you just glanced at it, you might not even realize it was a dessert shop. But let me tell you, it was so delicious that I wanted to order everything on the menu. If I wasn't worried about my belly fat, I would have ordered every flavor and every menu item. The prices are also very reasonable. I'll definitely be back for more next time, just for making me fall in love with it so much.
For this city trip, I wanted to find affordable but comfortable accommodation. After searching around, I came across reviews from friends on Pantip, which led me to Ruen Arom. This guesthouse offers rooms for under 1000 baht, but the hospitality is worth a million. During the high season, a room costs 600 baht and includes coffee and bread for breakfast. During the low season, the price drops to 450 baht, also including coffee and bread. The concept here is to stay like friends, in a relaxed atmosphere. The inspiration of the lovely husband-and-wife owners was to make their home a source of income, so they turned it into a hostel with 3 rooms (for now). They mentioned plans to add more rooms in the future. The rooms are incredibly clean, I was truly impressed and fell in love with the place. Downstairs, they have a cafe that serves delicious coffee and various pastries. Of all the places I've visited in Chiang Mai, this one definitely left a lasting impression.
Falling in love with each other like this, we must have gone back again for sure. Because let me tell you, "Chiang Mai", no matter how many times you go, you never get bored. You just fall in love and want to go again. Thank you everyone for visiting. If anyone has good accommodation, great places to visit, please recommend some. https://www.facebook.com/Lingnoiphotography/?ref=hl or https://www.facebook.com/lingnoiphotographer See you on the next trip!
