After eyeing Taiwan for a long time, my vacation days and wallet were ready, so Taiwan was calling! First of all, I have to say that this was my first trip to Taiwan. Before I went, I did a lot of research, from applying for a visa to booking flights, attractions, restaurants, accommodation, and most importantly, shopping (I paid special attention to this). I spent 4 days and 3 nights visiting Sun Moon Lake, Taroko, Jiufen, and Taipei. I traveled with 4 people and the total cost was divided by 4. The exchange rate was 1.11 at the Green Super Rich. The expenses are as follows:

1. Round-trip airfare 6,000 Bath

2. Visa fee 2,300 Bath (Visa application service fee: 1,700 + service fee 600. If interested, please inbox me.)

3. Accommodation fee for 3 nights 3,200 twd

4. Easy card for train + top-up for use in Taipei 200 twd

5. Round-trip high-speed rail (HRS) fare to Sun Moon Lake: 1,400 TWD

6. Sun Moon Lake Pass 620 TWD

7. Round-trip train ticket from Taipei to Toroko 780 twd

8. Taxi fare for Toroko tour 750 twd

9. Taxi fare for a round trip to Jiufen from Taipei - 600 twd

10. Round-trip airport bus fare - Taipei 250 twd

11. Food expenses average around 200*4= 800 twd (Accommodation includes free meals)

12. Shabu cost at Ximending 687 twd

13. The cost of a Chinese banquet at Toroko is 300 TWD.

*****Total expenses 18,900 Bath!!!!!!!!! It's very cheap (excluding shopping > <) I got to visit all the famous places.

***How to prepare for a trip to Taiwan

1. The first thing is the flight ticket. Getting a promotional ticket plays a significant role in the travel budget. Currently, flight tickets to Taiwan are relatively cheap due to the presence of several airlines such as Vair, Tiger Air, Nok Scoot, and Hongkong Airlines, which often compete with each other by offering discounts. I used Vair's service and got a round-trip ticket for 6,000 baht, including tax. It's not too cheap or too expensive because I traveled during a holiday, so the price wasn't very attractive. However, this airline often releases promotions, so you need to follow their Facebook page.

2. Yes, you need a visa to go to Taiwan. However, since I work full-time and have limited vacation days, I had to hire an agent to submit my application. (If you're interested, send me a message. The agent I used was very good and fast, and I got my visa in 3 days.) But if you have time, you can also submit your application yourself at

Taipei Economic and Cultural Office Address: 20th Floor, Empire Tower, 195 Sathorn Rd., Bangkok 10120 Visa Section Office Hours: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Fee: 1,700 Baht for Single entry and 3,400 Baht for Multiple entries Processing time: 3 working days For more details, please visit the link below. http://www.flymetotaiwan.com/taiwanvisa-วีซ่าไต้หวัน/

3. I chose to stay near Ximen because it is only 1 station away from Taipei Main Station, which is the transportation hub of Taiwan. The train fare is only 20 TWD. More importantly, there are plenty of shops and food stalls.

4. High-speed rail tickets HRS and TRA can be booked online in case of going to see different cities. It is recommended to book in advance if you go on weekends because the tickets will be full. We have encountered it 555+ Booking details can be found at http://www.1000milesjourney.com/tag/รถไฟไต้หวัน/

In addition, you can also buy tickets to Sun Moon Lake at the train station. Or you can take a taxi to Toroko at Hualein Station, where there are many taxis. As for taxis to Jiufen, they are located next to the exit of the station where you can take bus number 1062.

In short, Taiwan is a great place to travel. It's easy to get around, there are plenty of things to see and do, the nature is beautiful, the food is delicious, there are lots of night markets, and the currency is affordable. The Taiwanese people are also very friendly. If you have the chance, I highly recommend visiting Taiwan.
