Sea, sky, sunshine, and breeze
A short, simple phrase that is often found in captions or statuses of many people when they go to the sea.
It can be considered another mindless phrase, but even though it seems mindless, I still like it.
I don't know... it makes me feel like I'm far away from work, haha. 555

Alright... let's go! Let's go to Koh Phangan!!!!!
This morning I woke up on a luxurious yacht, which I rented privately, in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand. A beautiful waitress served me hot coffee, allowing me to stand and sip while enjoying the atmosphere on the deck of the boat. Let the clothes and hair flutter in the wind.
......
So cool #@%^#&*@^^$!!!!
.
.
.
Yes, I'm imagining things 55555
Before I get into the story, let me explain the gloomy origin of this trip. Actually, this trip wasn't my intention from the beginning. It was due to many coincidences.
It started with my girlfriend wanting to go to the Full Moon Party on May 19, 2016, which I later found out coincided with the time my friends and colleagues were going. Not only that, the accommodation I was looking at happened to be the same place the work gang had booked in advance, so I joined this trip with the gang. But the main plan was still focused on my girlfriend, which was to relax and go to the Full Moon Party. Because as I said, it wasn't me who wanted to go in the first place, it was her....
Until the end
.
.
.....
In the end, we broke up T.T
It's a sting, a thrill, a sadness. It's our trip, but when the time comes, we're not there.........
But wait... the destination ahead is Koh Phangan, a paradise for people all over the world. If I sit here and be sad, it would be disrespectful to the place. Anyway, I'll try to be less dramatic, haha.
Alright, it's time to go for real... pack your bags and let's go to Phangan for 3 days and 2 nights! Let's go!!!
How do I get there?
There are many ways to get there, which you can easily search on Google. I won't go into details, but for this trip, I used the services of "Lomprayah High Speed Ferry" (if I get paid for advertising, I'll praise them to the moon and back, haha!). I boarded the bus on Khao San Road, which has morning and evening departures. The evening departure is around 9 pm, so even if you finish work at 5 pm, you'll still make it in time. Plus, you'll have time to wander around and walk or sip drinks along Khao San Road. Once you get on the bus, you'll fall asleep drunk... I mean, you'll sleep soundly.
In the early morning, you will continue your journey by boat (the boat fare is included in the bus ticket you purchased earlier) at the Lomprayah Speed Boat Pier in Chumphon Province. No need to walk around looking for tickets or boats, which can be chaotic. This method may not be the cheapest way to travel, but it is considered convenient for those with limited time.
From the pier, you can sleep for a long time because it will take another 3 hours to reach Koh Phangan in the late morning. Or if you want to experience the morning chill, the rooftop of the boat is recommended. It's very cool!!
Until you reach Koh Phangan
Around 10:30 AM, the boat I was on arrived at the pier in Thongsala (I'm not sure if that's the correct name). After getting off the boat, the first thing you should do if you bought a one-way ticket is to find a return ticket. There are many brands to choose from, as many people come and go during the full moon.
If you don't buy a ticket in advance, you can still take the Raja Ferry back, but let me tell you, it's hell! Not that the ferry itself is bad, but it's incredibly crowded. Don't even think about getting a seat, you'll be lucky to find a place to stand, and even then you'll probably have to be on your tiptoes.
Of course... on the way back, I tiptoed on the Raja Ferry to Don Sak Pier for 3 full hours!!! T.T The stairs and walkways were full of people, so when you arrive, for those who don't have a return ferry ticket, hurry up and get one.
Travel on the island
After arriving, the first thing I wanted to do was take a shower. I rushed to find a ride to my accommodation (and completely forgot to think about the return ferry ticket - -“).
Luckily for tourists on this island, there are two-row cars running all over the island. But unfortunately, they are super expensive!!! I read that it costs 100 baht per person, which is still acceptable. But the actual price is 300 baht!!! (Or maybe it's because it's the full moon period). So I decided to rent a motorbike instead. But being Thai, every shop requires a 3,000 baht deposit and a rental fee of 150 baht per day.
Let's go!!
It's better to lose 300 baht than to waste a trip. At least you'll get 3,000 baht back on your return day.
...
..
80% of the roads on Koh Phangan are concrete, making it easy to get around. At first glance, the roads are in good condition and ideal for renting a motorbike.
....
However, there is a problem. The so-called concrete road has scattered sand on almost every curve. Can you imagine what will happen? Moreover, the road is so steep that it can be called very steep. The curves are acceptable if they are on a flat road, but here they come when going down a steep slope. Don't even mention drivers who are not strong, even local people fall like flies.
.
.
At this point, one of the members of the gang I work with who came with me was hit by a curve and swept to the street. He was stitched up with 5 stitches from the first day he arrived, so be careful about this.
Recommendation!!! If you get bitten, go to the community health center. Because the hospital will be very expensive!!!
Along the way, there are still some sections that are still gravel roads, which are currently under construction to be concrete roads. Drive carefully.
....
Let's go back to the motorcycle rental for a moment. On the day we rented the bike, the shop made us sign a contract in case the bike was damaged. Every part had a set price. In the case of my group, where one of us fell and scraped the road, the damage to the motorcycle was quite significant. The full cost of the damage would have been around 4,000 baht, but the shop charged us the Thai price, which was only 1,850 baht. They didn't even make us haggle! They were so kind. Haha.
Finally, the accommodation
We drove for a while, not too far actually, but the roads were difficult to navigate, so it took almost an hour.
This trip, we stayed at "Tongtapan Resort" in Tongtapan Bay. The resort consists of individual houses, ranging from beachfront to hillside locations. The houses further up the hill are quite a hike, so be prepared for a workout!
Affordable price, but the atmosphere is like, wow!! It's cool, it's peaceful, it's private, it's not crowded, clean and tidy. There are free diving masks, life jackets, and beach chairs to borrow (self-service).
The house I got is in the middle, but it's still a tiring walk. The house faces the sea, but you can't see it, the trees are blocking it all. Haha, but I assure you, it's chill....
The room is a good size, not too small to feel cramped, but not too big to feel lonely. But sleeping alone is still lonely. T.T
.
.
Wait a minute, you said no drama!!!!!
P.S. The reason the bed is broken is because I had a little problem with the plug on the headboard, hehe -.-
This is a photo of the bathroom. As I mentioned before, it's not too small or too big.
There is also a place to sit and chill in front of the house. The overall picture is considered okay. As for the side of the house, there will be a private swimming pool with a jacuzzi as well.
.
.
Just kidding..... That's too much 55555
This is a good place to stay at a reasonable price. I'm sharing this as an option, as I haven't seen any reviews yet. It may not be very detailed, but I hope it will be helpful. ^^
What should we do on the first day?
Today's arrival, I forgot to mention, is Visakha Bucha Day. I was planning to have some fun at the Jungle party on the first night, but I had to wait until after midnight. I thought it was too late, so I put it on hold for now. Next time I come, I'll change my base to the beach. But when I walked down to the beach, it turned out that....
.
.
.
Wow!!! It's so good, so chill. The locals told me that Hat Thong Nai Pan is the most beautiful beach on this island. I don't know if it's true, but the first time I saw it, I was totally smitten.
….
Sitting on a beach chair, letting the emotions flow, sipping a light beer....
Thong Nai Pan Beach isn't as stunning as the beaches on the Andaman coast, but the atmosphere here is incredibly relaxing. I barely used the room I booked, except to store my belongings and shower. The beachfront ambiance is just too good to pass up.
As the sun sets and the wind dies down, take a stroll along the beach. Many resort bars begin to arrange their seating along the beach (but not to the point of being cluttered, mind you, it just adds to the atmosphere, in my opinion). I walked along, until I stumbled upon these two chairs... I stood there for a while, watching them, and it reminded me of myself.
I feel heartbroken about what happened.
.
.
I thought I wouldn't feel it, wouldn't think about anything sad anymore. But then I came across the atmosphere of this beach, the sound of the waves, the sea breeze, the people, the couples....
"It made me feel so down."
It's really hot at Hat Thong Nai Pan. Ugh...
.....................
Day two, let's go to Koh Ma.
I woke up a little late today because the main plan was just to have fun at Slip n fly before going to the Full Moon Party. But I saw that I had a lot of time left, so I went for a walk on Koh Ma first. It's not far from Slip n fly.
Horse Island is located in Mae Haad area. It's not an island that requires a boat ride. It's similar to Talay Waek (Separated Sea), but with more and longer separations. However, I'm not sure if the separation occurs during high tide. Based on Google Maps, it appears to be a connected path rather than an island separated from the coast. (Try searching for "Horse Island")
The beach was bustling with tourists, especially women looking to check out the foreigners. Most of the visitors seemed to be groups of friends, unlike Hat Thong Nai Pan, which was mostly families and couples. T.T
On the Mae Haad side, there are accommodations and restaurants. As for accommodation, I think it might be suitable for people who like hustle and bustle and don't need much privacy. Because I see tourists coming and going all the time.
.
.
The food was delicious.
(What does this have to do with food -.-)
The water looks inviting, but the girls whispered that there are a lot of leeches. If you're scared or disgusted, just take a walk and take some pictures. Because if we talk about the view.....
.
.
Koh Ma is absolutely amazing!!!!
What the heck, the sun was shining brightly, and then I turned around and it was cloudy. It looks like it's going to rain. The wind is blowing hard. I'm riding a motorcycle, and I'm afraid it's going to be difficult. I'm not afraid of getting wet, but there's a section of gravel road where they're working on the road, and I'm afraid it's going to be slippery.
….
Let's hurry to Slip n' fly. I want to flyyyyyyyyyyy.
Slip n fly Let's fly together
Slip n fly is a water park and party venue that the website claims to be the biggest and craziest slide in Southern Asia. For Thai people, the entrance fee is 300 baht per person. I forgot to ask about the price for foreigners. - -“
As you can see in the picture above, the main attraction is the giant blue slide. I was there for almost 2 hours and only played on this slide (so I don't know what else there is to do, haha). It was so much fun! Before I came, I thought about how I would pose, like I was flying like Iron Man. But in reality...
Ugh!! Not good -.-
Standing below, it looked exciting, like I really wanted to play. But once I got up there,
Shaking so much hahaha
"It's really exciting, isn't it?"
When I was about to jump into the water, I couldn't control anything.
"I've had everything from a split lip to a blood clot. My entire left side is purple."
Ouch!!!! T.T But it's so damn good.
No need to go into too much detail. Just try it yourself and see for yourself.
(I was so focused on getting the Iron Man pose right that I didn't pay attention to anything else. Haha!)
Translation:
Note: I only have one photo, so I borrowed one from a friend who was there with me. I was too busy playing to take any photos myself. -.-
Thanks to YoYo here. Hehe _/\_
…..
After Slip n fly, we went back to shower and get dressed. Tonight we're going to have a blast!!!!!
Full Moon Party
In this thread, I would like to refrain from reviewing the Full Moon Party, as there are already many reviews available online that provide comprehensive information. Instead, I will summarize the key points in a concise and informative manner.
Let's get started!!!!
1. Pack as little as possible because you will have so much fun and be so tired that you won't want to be bothered with any luggage (I only brought my wallet and phone and it still felt heavy later on, haha!).
2. This event is held on the beach, so sandals will be a major hindrance. When you get drunk and have a lot of fun, you will take them off. So, don't bring them in the first place. Leave them at your accommodation.
3. If you play fire jump rope or fire crawl and accidentally get burned by the fire, you won't feel anything that night. But when you wake up in the morning, what the hell??!! It burns like hell!!
4. Take a taxi boat to avoid the entrance fee. Check with your accommodation for more information.
6. Don't be overly scared. Full moon parties aren't as scary as you think. Everyone just wants to have fun. If something doesn't feel right, just say no!!!
8. And lastly, joining in when the girls are raising their cameras to take a selfie is the easiest way to start a conversation with Asian girls. Hehe.
Back to real life, sob...
Woke up with a massive headache this morning. Went a bit overboard with the full moon party last night, haha.
My body is covered in bruises, both from Slip n fly and last night's Full Moon party. I don't even know when I got them, but my whole body is burning. Haha.
Today is the day we return. As I mentioned before, we didn't book a return ticket, so we were left with no choice but to take the Raja Ferry, the big brother of ferries, and tiptoe our way back.
…..
And so we part ways here, with the serene morning view of Haad Thong Nai Pan beach.
See you again...on the next trip
