Today I'm reviewing a place to stay near the southern sea. I've only been to the south twice, to two provinces: Phuket and Surat Thani. This time I'm going to Krabi.

Today's accommodation is located in Ao Thap Khek, called Anyawee Thap Khek Resort. My friend booked it for me with the following conditions: a good room, beautiful view, by the sea, and no headboard/carved wooden cabinet (the reason is short, simple, and ridiculous: I'm afraid of the tsunami ghost).

Anyawee Thapkaek Resort is located on Thapkaek Beach in Nong Thale Subdistrict, Mueang District, Krabi Province, next to the Amari Vogue Hotel, about 27 kilometers (30 minutes) from Krabi Town. Here is a map from the website.

Here are the coordinates for those using Google Maps: 8.093526, 98.747691

If you can't find it, set the navigation to Amari Hotel. When you reach Amari, it means you've gone too far! Please reverse a little.

The innermost part of the street, on the left hand side, is Amari.

There is limited parking available, probably no more than 20 spaces. You can park on the side of the road, and there is security personnel on duty. Most hotels in the area have limited parking, and street parking is common.

The resort offers a total of 11 types of accommodation, including both rooms and houses. It can accommodate individuals, couples, and groups.

1. Superior

2. Deluxe sea view

3. Deluxe pool access

4. Deluxe family

5. Deluxe Jacuzzi with sea view

6. Deluxe connecting

7. Jacuzzi villa aqua bath

8. One-bedroom Jacuzzi villa

9. Beachfront pool villa

10. Two-bedroom beachfront pool villa

11. Five bedrooms

Let's explore inside, taking a short detour on the small wooden bridge.

The check-in area is a small hall with a long counter for 3 people to stand at. There is no air conditioning, but there are fans.

There are enough sofas for guests.

The welcome drink is pineapple juice, which is refreshing and delicious.

Next to the check-in counter is a walkway leading to various types of rooms. On the left-hand side is a minimart selling food, necessities, and souvenirs.

Passing another type of room, the walkway is a bit close to the forest (walking back at night is a bit scary)

Check-in is complete. Let's go see the room. Along the way, I noticed a symbol of 6 circles attached to the stairs. I went to investigate and found them on every step. I asked and found out that it is Feng Shui. It is believed that the 6 circles will make guests who have stayed come back to use the hotel again. (It's like a Thai beckoning cat.)

The room we chose is type 5, Deluxe Jacuzzi sea view. Since we're at the sea, we want to be able to see the sea from our room. And since we're going to be looking at the sea, we might as well sit and relax. So we got a jacuzzi too. We booked 2 rooms. One room is decorated in blue tones, and our room is in yellow tones.

The space is divided into three sections: an entrance with a dressing area and a mini-bar, a central living area, and a balcony with a clear view of the sea.

Please look at it part by part, starting with the part near the door, the dressing part.

On the left is a bathroom separated between the toilet and shower area. In the middle is a separate sink. On the right is a wardrobe and a mini-bar.

The bathroom sink is a good size and has plenty of storage space. Toiletries are provided, except for toothbrushes and toothpaste (some bathrooms have a bathtub but no foam bath).

The other side is a full-length mirror.

The left side is the shower and toilet area, separated by frosted glass. I tested the transparency and it's a bit blurry.

The shower area has both a shower head and a rain shower. The water pressure is strong and the water is cold. I didn't test the hot water because the weather was already very hot when I went, but I really liked the rain shower.

The wardrobe contains a robe, slippers, and an umbrella for your convenience. Be mindful of the minibar, as the bottled water inside incurs a charge. Complimentary tea and coffee are available in the black cabinet next to it.

Continuing the exploration inside, the center of the room is divided into a working desk area next to the back of the wardrobe. Further inside, a dressing table is placed for dressing.

The bed is a double bed, moderately soft.

The text you provided is already in English. Therefore, no translation is required.

Adjacent to the balcony is a small sofa set with a few welcome fruits (didn't eat them, put them in the fridge and forgot about them). On the other side is a TV.

The highlight is on the balcony.

Soak in the view

Below are the villa-style rooms.

The other side has a set of wooden chairs.

For more information about the hotel, please refer to the yellow sheet and brochure.

Let's take a look at other corners of the hotel. The front of our room opens to a view of the swimming pool. There are 2 pools here.

The other pool is located in the five-bedroom accommodation zone. During my visit, there were no guests staying in this zone.

The hotel's interior walkways are a bit confusing, with ups and downs. This is because there are many different types of rooms and zones, resulting in a complex network of pathways.

The breakfast room is located upstairs. Take the stairs next to the check-in counter. If you go up, you will find food. If you go down, you will find the spa.

The lunch and dinner room is located in front of the beach.

Happy Hour

The price of drinks is high as usual for tourist attractions.

Kayaks are available for rent, but the sign in the photo is too small to read the details.

Sharing the evening atmosphere from the balcony of my room.

Evening atmosphere from the beach in front of the hotel.

For dinner, we went out to eat in the city center. It's about 27 km from here, not far (because we're not the drivers). We only had one chance to eat a real meal from the hotel (not including breakfast), which was lunch. We ordered light because our group was focusing on dinner. For lunch, we ordered a pizza, half Hawaiian and half with some kind of rice. It was delicious (or maybe we were just hungry, no, it was really good). The toppings were generous, the crust was soft, and the cheese was gooey.

For food reviews throughout the trip, we have separated them into another thread.

Sharing the morning atmosphere with you. I don't know which way the sun rose, so I didn't take a picture.

Took a short walk to capture the morning beach scene before breakfast.

The sun is not here, but we will take you to see the breakfast line. There are quite a variety of dishes, with a focus on chicken menus (even rice porridge is chicken porridge).

Starting with something light, a salad with various fruits and cheeses.

The other side is a yogurt and cereal zone.

There is a moderate amount of bread and cake.

For the soup, the first day was potato soup with clear soup. The second day was soup with something I can't remember, with chicken congee.

The first line passes through, crossing to the other side is the hot food zone, starting with dim sum and steamed buns.

The egg and pancake section is located against the far wall. There are chocolate, honey, and caramel syrup available.

When there are no guests, all the pots are open (wait, are they called pots or trays?)

Further ahead, facing the sea, there is a sculpture placed in the middle of the walkway. They say it's some kind of feng shui.

In the center of the dining area is a beverage section with orange juice, pineapple juice, plain water, tea, and coffee.

Tip: Mixing orange juice with pineapple juice will taste better than drinking them separately.

The dining table area is not very wide, there are 3 zones. The inside is divided into an air-conditioned room and natural wind (in the morning, the leaves don't even move).

The front zone is designed as an open-air bow, offering beautiful views. However, it is important to consider the direction of the sun to avoid glare.

Two days of light eating.

Closing the review of Anya Vii Thap Kaek Beach Resort Krabi.

Advantages

1. It is a beachfront hotel with affordable prices.

2. A wide variety of rooms to choose from (including 5-bedroom options, perfect for large groups of up to 15 people in a single van).

3. The lemongrass-scented skin cream smells amazing (forgot to take it back), but the bottle is a bit difficult to pour from.

Disadvantages

1. The jacuzzi on the balcony wasn't very private. We saw a room on the ground floor from the walkway. They were soaking in the jacuzzi, and we walked up to them (hello, hello).

2. The swimming pool is quite small (if it were long and parallel to the sea, it would be beautiful).

3. There are no signs on the road to the hotel, only other hotels. Actually, you can find it with GPS, but don't rely too much on GPS. It would be reassuring to see some hotel signs.
