The best moments happen when they are unplanned.

" Wow! That's awesome! "

" That sounds like fun. "

It's not cool, it's not cool at all.

Let me tell you why I chose Nan. There's only one reason... "I got a cheap ticket."

The AirAsia promotion that everyone's talking about, where you can fly for as low as 192.80 baht, is no joke. I mean, who needs the 80 satang? It's cheaper than a taxi to the airport, for crying out loud!

I was originally going to go alone, but my friend booked a ticket with me, even though it was more expensive than mine. But it was still cheaper than taking the bus (I should really thank them, because if I had gone alone, I would have probably ended up throwing away the ticket).

In the end, we went together, both of us didn't have time to plan anything. You could say that...

No plan 99%

Set aside 1% for a quick glance at the opening.

That is, when I boarded the plane from Don Mueang, my brain had not yet processed what I would do after landing in Nan.

Tourist attractions I've read about in passing, I repeat, passing, Jim.

Accommodation is definitely not available.

There are no cars either.

Oh... you're brave (brave and crazy were very close at that moment).

Come join us for a fun and exciting trip to Pua and Nan!

June 1, 2016: Whatever will be, will be!

Leaving home early in the morning... and then choosing an early flight that departs at 7:35 am.

I've already translated a lot from the beginning, I'm afraid you'll get bored.

Cutting to the scene of a red-tailed hawk landing at Nan Nakhon Airport (whoever named this, kudos to them, it's beautifully melodious and ornate).

The image that comes to mind is a stylish airport sign in the Lanna Kammin style, set against a bright blue sky with a few fluffy clouds.

[Spoiler] Click to reveal hidden messageNote: This picture was taken on the last day before I returned. The weather was clear and beautiful.

The sweet voice on the airplane's intercom announced, "We have now arrived at Nan Nakhon Airport. The weather outside is rainy...."

I'm not hearing things...it's raining.

So what? We're screwed now!

We sat down to compose ourselves downstairs and began to immerse ourselves in our mobile phones. We had 2 and a half days and 2 nights in Nan.

To be honest, we've only looked at tourist attractions in Nan Province very roughly... really, really roughly.

- Doi Samer Dao: I really want to go here, but I'm not sure about the journey. If it rains again, goodbye. See you next time.

- A. Pua: Lush green rice fields, living a slow life surrounded by nature. But the reviews I read were from the end of the rainy season. What about now?

- Doi Phu Kha: It's a bit further than Pua, you have to take a connecting bus to the park entrance. It looks good, but I couldn't contact the park's accommodation.

- Bo Kluea District: To see how they make salt? We have to take another bus from Pua, so I'm afraid it will reduce our travel time.

Summary... The first day the lottery was drawn at 'Pua'. Let's go to the temple to see if we can see the green rice fields.

And on the second day, we returned to the city center to prepare for our departure on the third day. Perfect!

Okay, let's go!

Let's talk about

How do we get out of the airport? I saw that there are two rows, but we have to walk a bit. It's probably not suitable for rainy weather like this.

While we may be stingy, we're not stingy all the time.

We walked to the taxi counter and asked them to take us to the transportation hub so we could catch a songthaew to Pua. They charged us 50 baht per person.

Deal!

At the Nan Nakorn Bus Terminal.

The rain continued to fall relentlessly. Two women from out of town got out of a car that looked like an Uber but was actually a taxi.

We opted for the middle path, the "songthaew".

The uncle took us to a songthaew that said "Nan-Tha Wang Pha-Pua" on the side. As soon as we got on, the car left... the car was ours, yay!

After sitting for a while, people started to get on the bus, and the amount of luggage increased. The uncle was taking on both deliveries and passengers. He must be loaded.

We dozed on and off for about two hours (Uncle initially said an hour and a half, but he ended up delivering a lot of goods, so the time ran a bit over).

Our destination, as recommended by the taxi driver, is

I didn't come here to buy wood or steel. Brother Tag told me that there are motorcycle taxis here.

Uh... what should I do now? I don't have a place to stay, and there are no more places to visit.

We stood awkwardly in front of the motorcycle taxi rank. Finally, we walked over to the driver and asked if there were any shared taxis available to take us on a tour. He pointed to the other side of the road and said they were near the stadium.

But I still offered to say, "I can also rent a motorbike for you..." Um, I'm already full like this. If I rent a motorbike, I'll be crazy.

What should we do? It's almost noon now, and our stomachs are growling. An army marches on its stomach, after all.

We decided to find a restaurant first. We'll worry about sightseeing and accommodation later. Haha.

My friend read Pantip and they recommended Little Le Cuisine restaurant.

Wow, you came to Pua to eat Italian food? You should go back to Bangkok and eat there... That's what you're thinking, right?

...We thought about it, but at that moment we were starving and just wanted anything. We were too lazy to walk around and look for something.

According to Google Maps, it's just a short walk away.

Come on! Let's go, what are you waiting for?

We followed Google Maps obediently until we arrived here.

The restaurant is very classy and elegant. I didn't expect to find a city-style restaurant in a natural town like Pua.

I see that the owner of the shop graduated from Le Cordon Bleu. Isn't that amazing? (The picture may not be related, I didn't read the details.)

We ordered 2 light dishes.

Grilled salmon steak with white wine sauce 159 baht

" Salmon with a rich texture, topped with a smooth white wine sauce

The chewy spaghetti noodles taste delicious in the mouth.

Accompanied by crispy, fragrant grilled potatoes, a delightful chew.

Pairs well with fresh vegetables and a tangy salad dressing.

"Spaghetti with your choice of noodles, generous portions, no skimping on the noodles

The sauce is neither too Thai nor too Western, it's a perfect hybrid.

Tender grilled pork, a perfect match for eating.

Amazing! This tastes like a hotel, but at a restaurant price.

The bill came out, peace of mind, full and comfortable wallet.

My friend read that they recommended 'Tanong Homestay'. Judging from the pictures, it looked beautiful and natural, so we decided to stay there. We called to confirm that there were rooms available before walking in.

Okay, I have a place to sleep tonight. I'm relieved.

For sightseeing, we just looked at the recommended websites. Since we only had half an afternoon left, we didn't want to arrive at our accommodation after dark, so we decided to visit only these 3 places.

1. Mushroom House Homestay

3. Phuket Temple

Before leaving the shop, we asked the staff about the queue for the shared taxi. They gave us excellent advice.

When we saw that there were no plans, they suggested we also go to Bor Klue, but we would have to take another car, so we decided to pass.

Ready heart, ready backpack, ready belly, ready face, let's go! The rain has stopped now, we walk along the path they told us, it's not far at all.

We agreed on a price of 500 baht for a half-day tour with two people. After that, we asked him to drop us off at Baan Tanong (this is a real place, the uncle who drives the two-wheeled vehicle is recommended in the tour program).

Mushroom Farm Baan Huay Nam Homestay

The top is a rainforest. Looking down, all I see is brown. The green rice fields are gone. T_T

We took pictures together, both above and below, until the uncle probably fell asleep three times.

steadily

Finished shooting... Gotta eat, right? (I'm talking about taking photos, not that kind of shooting!)

This place has an open-air restaurant with both mushroom and non-mushroom menus. Breathe in the fresh air while enjoying the view that nature has created.

Since we just had lunch less than an hour ago, but we wanted to try the food that they said was amazing, so we had to order it.

This is the mushroom pizza tray itself.

This tray costs 140 baht and comes with 6 pieces. The soft dough allows you to experience the taste of real pizza sauce and mushrooms without needing to add anything else.

Good, passed!

We couldn't finish it all (if we hadn't eaten anything beforehand, I think we could have finished two trays, lol), so we took some home with us because we're cheap.

As I already liked clothes from the north, I walked around with pleasure. I got a northern dress for a good price, 200 baht.

Actually, there was a small shop on the opposite side. We crossed over to kill time because we couldn't find the uncle. So we bought a pair of pants with a batik label, which they claimed was made by the hill tribe people, not from a factory.

Hmm... where did this uncle go? Or did he think we'd be shopping from noon to midnight like a midnight sale?

As I walked around exploring, I came across an uncle lying down at the relaxation corner. Until I realized... hey, this is the Baan Tai Lue coffee shop!

The uncle didn't tell me anything. He must think we've read Pantip thoroughly.

I just found out that Lamduan Fabric and Baan Tai Lue Coffee Shop are the same place! (I want to slap myself for the time I wasted)

The first thing that struck me was the breathtaking view of a million stars.

We're going to get something to drink first... Eating again, huh?

While waiting for him to make the drink, I walked around and looked around.

It's so cute.

Amazing!

This place has a lot of seating options. Each booth is private, so you can even roll around on the floor.

Oh, that's a person.

A hundred likes, one wanna be on top, please (just kidding, friend)

- Sweet and creamy green tea 1 glass (a bit too sweet)

- Take a deep breath of fresh air, filling your lungs.

- Breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of nature, the lush greenery you've been longing for is right here!

- Playfully tease the goats and run around like the heroine in a music video.

- You can sleep on the bed as well.

We spent hours here. And if it weren't for Uncle, we would have stayed longer. 55

It's time to walk back to the songthaew. The uncle said he'll take us to Wat Phukhao last. (The uncle must be tired because these guys spend too much time at each place. 55)

We would like to give this place the title of The Best in Pua.

Come and enjoy coffee with nature at Baan Taluay Coffee.

Wat Phu Khao Kaeo

I wonder why the temple in Nan is called Wat Phukhet?

But I didn't look for any answers. This trip is all about slowing down, not studying history!

To be honest, the reason I came to this temple was because I saw people reviewing it as a viewpoint with stunning views. The rice fields are lush and green as far as the eye can see.

What we found

So this is what Pua is like in June (we read that it's in September)

The intro to this song comes right up... 'Endure the time when the rain falls, at least it makes us see the difference... You're gonna get the best man' T_T

We're in the right place, but at the wrong time... No, we have to be positive thinking.

If you want to see green rice fields in Pua, here is the link: http://pantip.com/topic/34217727

Enter the church and go to the

Please walk around a bit.

The Poa trip is over. Uncle Somchai is taking us to our homestay, Baan Ta Nong.

"Homestay Baan Tanong, further than I thought. The first person I met here must be extraordinary... I thought to myself."

We entered the alley, passing through rice fields, cornfields, and fields that were still mostly bare earth, until the car stopped at a house.

Here you go. Please use my uncle's service. Spread the income.

Anyone going to Pua, interested in using Uncle Somchai's services, please contact this number 089-835-6884.

We walked into Ngon's house in a daze.

We went to sit and wait politely under the house where guests are received.

We called the same number until we found out that grandpa and grandma were not there. They will be back soon.

We sat there in awkward silence for a while, until my grandmother came over... From now on, I'll call her "aunt" instead, as she doesn't seem old enough to be called "grandmother". Haha.

The auntie opened the rooms for us to choose from. We chose to sleep on the 2nd floor.

Oops, what's in front of the room?

This kitten is very tame, but the auntie said she didn't give it a name. She just calls it "Little Mouse" (it's a cat, not a mouse!).

We asked our aunt to prepare dinner for us because we can't go out anymore.

While waiting for my aunt to cook, I was lying around in the room. I must say, the room is really nice. The air conditioning is cool and comfortable. But there's just one thing... there are a lot of insects. I'm not sure if it's just this season, but I've been bitten by insects several times without even realizing it.

Second floor viewpoint

Sitting and looking at the green color, it's very relaxing for the eyes.

After feeling recharged from sleeping and rolling around, I felt like going out to breathe some real air.

As soon as I came down from the room, I was stopped by my aunt with a spread of food... I could eat first, hehe.

We met Tanong. I'll call him Uncle, because he's not that old (he might have named himself in anticipation of old age).

After finishing eating, it was just getting dark. We had planned to go for a walk, but we hadn't even taken fifty steps before it was completely dark. So we decided to go back to our room.

Let's wake up to watch the sunrise tomorrow!

June 2, 2016: Goodbye Pua, let's move on to Nannakorn.

It takes a lot of willpower to drag myself out of bed.

Some people say that "the sun rises the same everywhere".

I disagree with the statement "they are not the same".

The gravel road, we rode until the system was broken.

The fog is so light, it's like smoke... so similar that sometimes I can't tell the difference.

The sun is shy, I can't see anything. There are only green trees, grass, rice fields, mountains, forests and wilderness.

We rode back home, of course we had to sleep.

Light breakfast with minced pork porridge and leftover dishes from yesterday.

We said goodbye to our aunt at 10 am.

Today we will take a bus back to the city. My uncle took us to the bus stop. He is so kind ^^

Before leaving, I said goodbye to my cat with a yoga-style sleeping pose. She slept all day long.

Khum Mueang Mint

The reason I chose this place is because it is beautiful and close to various tourist attractions, such as Wat Phumin and the museum.

And most importantly, "free bicycles"

This room is 990 baht for walk-in customers.

So lucky, there's just one room left.

After a tiring two-hour journey by songthaew from Pua and a motorbike ride from the transport station to the hotel, I decided to take a break to recover.

The city plan was just improvised while we were resting in the room.

Here it is.

Actually, in Nan, they have a city tour bus service for tourists.

However, since we went during the low season and on a weekday, there were only two trips available: 10:30 AM and 3:30 PM.

The trip takes about an hour, with two stops of 10 minutes each.

You can contact the Tourist Information Center located in front of Wat Phumin. The phone number is 054-751169.

We agreed to try cycling first, and if it doesn't work out, we'll take the tram. Deal!

Delicious

The first stop we made... inevitably, it was a restaurant 55

Here you go

- 'Luuy Suan Noodles', a healthy dish that comes wrapped in bite-sized portions, so you can enjoy the vegetables without them falling out. Drizzle with the spicy dipping sauce and enjoy with fresh vegetables. So delicious!

- 'Deep-fried fish with tamarind sauce' is deliciously crispy and crunchy, topped with a sweet and savory tamarind sauce that melts in your mouth.

- A bit too greasy with the 'Spicy Fried Fish with Herbs'. The flavor wasn't too strong, and the fried fish was crispy and delicious. But after eating 2 plates of fried fish, it started to get greasy.

- The 'Crispy Omelette' lived up to its name, being both crispy and greasy. This dish would be better shared among several people, as the portion size is huge. While it was initially delicious, the combination of several fried dishes resulted in an overwhelming amount of oil, making it excessively greasy. We couldn't finish it all.

Overall, the food was delicious and affordable. The four dishes only cost around 500 baht, and we were all full. We even had leftovers to take home.

We ate so much that our bellies are about to burst. Let's go for a bike ride to digest our food.

The first thing you see when you enter is this frangipani archway.

Come inside.

Oops, under maintenance -'-

At the base of the pagoda, there are elephants supporting it. I don't know if the name comes from this (I'm just guessing).

Please enter the church and pay respect to the Buddha statue, as a good Buddhist should.

As a delicate girl, I wouldn't be able to make it (the truth is I'm afraid I wouldn't survive, getting hit by a car halfway).

Come this way, and soon you'll find a cool library cafe called "Baan Baan Nan Library".

That's all for the spin.

This place has a wide variety of sweet treats. The highlight is the 'bua loy', which starts selling at 6 pm. Don't miss it, but don't go on Wednesdays.

Thai people

Ice cream is here too.

After that, we felt that the sun was too hot to handle, so we asked to go back to the hotel to rest.

As the sky began to darken, they continued to come out.

The same place, new time.

Yes, we are back at Auntie Nim's Sweet Treats again! You read that right!!!

Ta-da! Sweet egg bualoy and coconut ice cream bualoy.

This is a sweet egg bualoy, it's delicious and not too sweet. But the coconut ice cream bualoy is an amazing combination. Bangkok should try to copy it.

It's late, the temple is lit up.

We thought so too. We asked the hotel staff and they said it wasn't dangerous. They also pointed out that the bikes have flashing lights.

We felt it was too early to go back to the room, but the chill-out seats in Nan were too far to cycle to. I was scared.

Where should we go?

And finally, it ends here....

Unforgettable culinary experience

Ending the night with delicious spicy pork salad. It's delicious. Gnawing on the bones is fun ^^

Full, sleep now. Yawn.

June 3, 2016: The last memory in Nan

I would like to order fish congee, please.

It looks like this, with boiled eggs. The fish is delicious.

There are other things to eat too. It's so sweet and delicious.

Lightly

I got some northern Thai chili dip and northern Thai sausage from this shop.

The "nam prik num" here doesn't contain any preservatives, so it's best to eat it quickly. Otherwise, it will spoil.

After that, I went back to sleep for another 55 minutes. In the end, it was past 11 am when I checked out. I left my luggage and asked to continue cycling. I'm starting to get hooked, but my butt is probably sore.

"My love for you, I would keep it in the water, but I'm afraid it would be cold.

If I take it to the palace, I'm afraid the prince will wear it and get it dirty.

In the middle of the night, I woke up with a start...

"My love for you, I wouldn't dare leave it in the water, for fear it would catch a chill.

If you keep it in the palace, the lord will find out and take my love away.

So I ask you to keep it in my heart, so that it can cry and sing about you.

Whew!

The sun in Nan is the strongest in Thailand, Gigi.

Before coming, we watched 'Ladyboys Go Thailand' episode that took us on a tour of Nan. I don't remember much, I just remember the part with the hot vendor, haha.

They took me to OVO Salad, so I took the opportunity to follow the footsteps of the merchant... oops! I mean, the footsteps of the restaurant.

According to Google Maps, we should be near the shop by now, but... where is it?

We parked our bikes and looked for a phone number to call the shop ... We found out that

The store is closed for renovations and will reopen at the end of the year.

Salad

Fail again and again. An unprepared trip is bound to fail.

Ho Ngoc Khanh

I can't remember the name of the menu. It's a stir-fried noodle dish with crispy wide rice noodles and marinated pork.

The pork was delicious, the noodles were crispy, but I can't eat a lot of fried food, so I felt a little greasy.

This is my friend's. The braised pork is also okay.

A small amount, or maybe we were just very hungry, so we ordered another bowl of noodles. Hehe, I forgot to take a picture.

So we rushed out, our final destination.

The atmosphere in the bookstore is calm… there are both books for sale and free reading.

I love this word 'bibliarist' = librarian + barista. It's a kind of word combination. Hehe.

Full of books

There weren't many people when we went, probably because it was a weekday during working hours.

There are many sitting corners. This corner must have a green scent.

Oh, this is an open-air restaurant, so they use fans. It must be nice in the winter.

Drowning in a sea of books

This place has two floors. We chose to sit upstairs. Let's take a look.

Like sitting reading a book on the balcony of the house

Photogenic angle

This bookstore has a huge variety of books! Bookworms would go crazy here.

I don't have much time, so I haven't finished reading any books yet. -"-

I would like to give this place the title of The Best in Nan. Give it a big round of applause.

(The best places in Pua and Nan are coffee shops, haha)

Find time to relax, rest your eyes from the screen, look at the paper, sip coffee, nibble on snacks, what happiness is better than this?

Until we meet again.
