Koh Chang, Trat Province, a sea that is not too far from Bangkok. Even if you don't have a private car, you can easily get there without getting confused. Just take a van and then a boat for about 5-6 hours and you'll be there.

With its ease of access, we decided to spend three days and two nights chilling and relaxing with friends here. For those of us without a car, the journey to Koh Chang involves taking a van from Victory Point at the Victory Monument. The fare is 300 baht per person. (The van will drop you off at a local songthaew to take you to the pier, where you can purchase a round-trip ferry ticket for 160 baht.)

After that, we waited for the boat to take us to Koh Chang…

DAY 1

After a 30-minute boat ride, we arrived at Koh Chang. We then headed straight to the waiting double-decker trucks. These trucks travel to all the beaches, so just let them know your destination.

The accommodation we booked is located at Klong Prao Beach, not too far away. The fare is 70 baht per person. (If the accommodation is not too secluded, most drivers will know where it is located if you tell them the name.)

"Pajamas Hostel" was our accommodation for both nights on Koh Chang.

A medium-sized hostel, one side facing the street and the other about a 2-minute walk from the sea. We slept in a shared room. The price per bed was 600 baht (including breakfast).

The room has 8 beds, we booked 6 beds, almost the whole room... But if you prefer privacy, there is another separate room zone. Besides the lovely accommodation, we like the common area of the hostel. There are many things to do, such as watching movies, playing guitar, hammocks for swimming, and various games to play.

If you're tired of the sea, you can just relax and find something to do at the hostel. This is the charm of hostels.

We were initially planning to walk to a restaurant to eat before braving the sun and rain at the beach.

But the hostel has a kitchen, so we're all good. No more restaurants for us. We crossed the street and bought eggs, vegetables, and instant noodles to cook ourselves instead.

The food we made was so ridiculous, just instant noodles. But because I was with friends, it was fun to make it. 5555555 We didn't care if it was good or not, we just wanted to have fun. The kitchen utensils, pans, and containers were all free to use. The rule is that you have to wash and clean them after use. As for the refrigerator, we can put anything we want in it, but we have to write our names on it with masking tape. It's so cute! 5555

There is no disaster. This is soaked in all Pepsi, snacks, snacks, beer is still the same.

After finishing our meal, the rain started to fall. However, the day wasn't over yet. We spent some time relaxing at the hostel, waiting for the rain to stop. Once it cleared up, we headed out for a stroll along the beach.

Behind the hostel, there is a bridge that leads directly to the beach. The seawater at the back beach is not crystal clear, but it is still fun to play in. Along the way, there are swings tied to trees at intervals for you to sit and relax. There are bars and seats for

The resort offers various accommodations. From the beach, we can see Koh Wai in the distance. The hostel staff told me that we can rent a kayak to paddle there. There are no corals there, but the water is very clear and there are a lot of fish. It's not far, only half a day trip.

Uh, half a day... Bye.

After taking a leisurely stroll along the beach, just enough to get our feet wet with seawater, we set our sights on a new destination and headed towards the far end of the beach.

As our goal for this evening is to watch the sunset at Laem Chaiyachet, the distance is not too far. It's just enough to make you sweat a little, but what will tire you out is walking on the sand (from the sandy beach in front of the accommodation, you can see the cape just within reach).

Before reaching the cape, my sharp eyes caught sight of a bridge stretching out into the sea. Yes, it was a bridge stretching out into the sea! There was no better angle for taking pictures than this one! (I thought to myself)

Without hesitation, I turned towards the bridge immediately 55555555 The view is so gooddddddddddddddddddddd (Everyone who goes to Laem Chabang will pass this bridge)

The seawater near the bridge is very clear and there are fish. You can climb down the stairs, but there are a lot of rocks.

The rock formations you see over there are where we went to watch the sunset.

Okay, it's time to go watch the sunset. But because I thought it would be easy to get there,

It wasn't easy at all. I had to climb rocks and go up and down a bit before I got there. By the time I arrived, it was starting to get dark. As soon as I arrived, the clouds covered everything. That's it... No more pictures of the sunset over the water.

No problem, the lighting in this shot is amazing. There's no one around, just us. It's so quiet and peaceful, with no one around. The whole cape is ours (no one has noticed yet, even though this cape is famous. I'll tell you later).

After watching the show, we climbed back to our accommodation. By the time we arrived, we were drenched in sweat.

The accommodation during the day looks quiet, but at night it's full of foreigners. Some sleep on the sofa, some by the pool, it's very chill. And then in the kitchen, the foreigners are making spaghetti.

So, he made a lot of it. He just wrote on the board that it was free, so you could just go and get some. It was so delicious! We just sat and relaxed in that area for a long time. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming, it felt like home.

DAY 2

Wake up and have breakfast first. We walked to eat at the restaurant next to the hostel. I think it should be the same owner. It's open until late at night. If you don't cook your own food at the hostel, you can leave your stomach here.

We were planning to go diving today, but we couldn't agree on it. Some people wanted to go, while others didn't.

We didn't end up going, and everyone went their separate ways. People did whatever they wanted, and we'll meet up again in the evening because we're going to a bar.

Here's the translation:

So I grabbed the snorkel from the hostel and walked to the bridge we went to yesterday. The snorkel is free! There's a section with beach stuff you can borrow, like mats, yoga mats, ping pong paddles, and books. You can borrow them, but like before, you have to return them.

Yesterday we saw that the water was very clear and there were a lot of fish, so we decided to try climbing down the stairs into the water. As soon as we got in, the water became cloudy. 5555555555 There were a lot of rocks, I repeat, the fish ran away and I forgot to buy bread.

The shared room here has the air conditioning turned off from 11am to 5pm. During our stay, the weather was very hot and we were tired of the sea and sticky.

We ended up sitting, lying down, and fanning ourselves at the hostel, becoming lazy tourists by default. We alternated with crossing the street to the convenience store across the street to buy Pepsi to drink.

Let's talk about getting around Koh Chang. If you didn't bring your own car and want to visit other beaches, the most convenient option is a songthaew, but be prepared for the high prices. If you're a confident motorbike rider, renting one is a much more economical choice. However, it's important to emphasize that you need to be a truly skilled rider, as the roads are full of hills, sharp turns, and other challenges.

We stopped by a nearby restaurant for lunch and then came back to the hostel to watch a movie.

Let's continue to see the chill.

And in the evening, it was the same as before, with the resentment that I didn't make it in time.

So we went to watch the sunset again... We were serious about it, lol.

This time we arrived early, the sun had not yet set. We looked around and then we stumbled upon a rocky promontory. We wondered why there were so many people there, what were they doing… What were they doing? We could see a staircase carved into the rock, facing the sunset. People were sitting there, all facing the same way.

Splash, splash, right at Laem Chaiya Chetth................

That must be Laem Chaiyachet for sure. We've been sitting here for two days, climbing for two days straight. This place is nice. It's a bit of a climb to get here, but it's peaceful. However, you have to be careful after dark because it gets really dark. There are not many people around, which can be dangerous. When the tide comes in, the rocks get slippery...

After that, we returned to our accommodation to shower and freshen up before heading out again.

Tonight is the last night of the trip. We will continue to chill at Sabai Bar. The bars and pubs will be very lively around White Sand Beach, which requires a ride on a songthaew. You can't walk that far. The fare is 50 baht per person.

On the way back, we got charged 70 baht because it was late, so we got ripped off as usual (I tried to bargain though).

The bar is located right on the beach, and in the evening it transforms into a restaurant with live music and regular fire shows. There are both sofas and regular tables, but all tables have their feet in the sand, creating a truly immersive atmosphere. However, around 11pm, the party moves to the club area.

DAY 3

Today is the last day, so we decided to go kayaking, play in the sea, and swim in the pool before showering and checking out. Kayaks are available for rent along the beach for 90 baht per hour. Three people can sit and paddle, but honestly, we were tired after only half an hour.

I've been paddling around in circles, thinking I've gone far, but when I dip my feet in, the seawater is only up to my calves. 555555

After checking out, we left our luggage at the hostel.

I'll come back and get it later because we're going to explore the waterfall first. Let's make the most of it before we go back, okay?

'Tolong Plu Waterfall' took a motorbike taxi from the front of the accommodation for 50 baht. The entrance fee, if I remember correctly, should be 20 baht. At first, I didn't expect much because the shop owner told me that the water was dry. But since I was already there, I decided to stop by. When I arrived, I had to walk a little further. It wasn't far, but it was very tiring because it was hot. 5555555 About 700 meters if I remember correctly.

The water on the side of the road is dry, but when you get to the waterfall, it's so beautiful. Even though there isn't a lot of water, you can still swim in it. The water is very cold. There are a lot of foreigners and children playing in the water. You have to go, it's so good.

After that, we took a car down to get our stuff at the hostel, and then stood waiting for a shared taxi to the pier again.

For those who have already booked a return car, please allow some time to wait for the two-row car. We waited a long time.

Not all ferries will dock at the same time. Each ferry has its own docking time. If this ferry is full, you will have to wait for the next one. For this trip to Koh Chang, it's over. I may not have gone out much around the hostel, but for me it was very relaxing.

It's like home 555555 Oh, if anyone comes alone, don't worry about being lonely. Come and make friends at the hostel because at the counter there will be an activity board. Make an appointment to do this and that together. Some days we go kayaking, some days we party. The day we went was beach volleyball. I can't play this, so I missed out.....
