"Get ready to embark on a journey together"
Our journey to Koh Chang begins in Bangkok, the City of Angels. We take the Motorway, which is Highway 7 (Bangkok-Chonburi Motorway). We drive straight until we reach Highway 344 (Ban Bueng-Klaeng), which leads to Klaeng District. We continue on Highway 3, passing through Khlung District in Chanthaburi Province. We cross the Welu Bridge and pass through Khao Saming District, heading straight to Trat City. After driving for a while, we will see the Saen Tung intersection sign. Stay to the right <it will be a traffic light intersection> and turn right into the alley. <Before reaching the intersection, there will be a gas station on the left-hand side> Drive straight along the alley, passing Trat Airport for a while. There will be a sign to turn left, and after driving a short distance, there will be a large sign to turn right. Enter the "Ao Thammachat Ferry Port".
There will be 2 piers, depending on your convenience. But if you want to be safe, I recommend this pier.
....If you find the path as shown in the picture, it means that your friends have arrived at the pier to cross to Koh Chang...
As shown in this picture: These two pictures were not taken by me, because I had to drive at the same time. < Permission from the owner of the picture >
"The ferry ride from Ao Thammachat Pier to Koh Chang takes about 30 minutes. If you're feeling hungry, there are shops on board selling drinks and snacks."
"We've already seen Koh Chang." <This was taken on our way back from Koh Chang.>
After driving for about 1-2 kilometers, you will see the "Ko Chang Shrine" on your right-hand side. <Permission granted by the owner of the image>
Leaving the Ko Chang Shrine, continue driving along the road, passing through mountains, curves, and into the community, passing Klong Prao Beach and Kai Bae Beach. The resort where we stayed is located on Kai Bae Beach. It is called "Kai Bae Beach Resort" website: www.kohchangkaibaebeach.com It is a resort with a private beach where you can swim comfortably.
The resort is located on Kai Bae Beach. When you drive into Kai Bae Beach, you will see Lotus and 7-11 on your left-hand side. Drive past 7-11 for about 500 meters.....you will see a tall sign on your right-hand side with the name of the resort. Turn right and enter. If you see the Lobby in the picture, you have arrived at the right place. >>>>>>>>>> You have arrived at the resort. <<<<<<<<<<<
Lobby floor, please.
You can easily swim in the sea here. When the tide is low, you can paddle to the island you see in the distance, and there will also be a sea parting.
This is the house we stayed in. It's an Air con beach front that can accommodate 4-5 people.
The room is spacious and comes fully equipped with electrical appliances. There is also a wardrobe provided. You can live comfortably here, and there is even a balcony in front of the room for parties with friends.
This photo clearly shows the view in front of the house. You can walk down to play in the water. < We took it against the light, so don't be scared and close it yet. >
This place has a swimming pool and a restaurant.
*** Baebeach Resort offers a variety of room styles, including garden view, beachfront sea view, or 3-story buildings to choose from.
<We don't get anything out of it, but if a place is good, we want to review it and invite our friends to visit. >
Now that we've enjoyed the accommodation, let's find something to eat.
........For our first meal, we ate at " Ai Yai Seafood Restaurant" on Klong Prao Beach. We went there with friends in the evening. Let's take a look at the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. ........
>>>> We started with a seafood menu, which was delicious. <<<<<
>>>> Here's a look at the atmosphere around the restaurant. You can sleep comfortably here. <<<<
Ai-Yara Seafood Restaurant also offers accommodation. If you are interested, please contact the restaurant directly.
The next morning, after we had breakfast at the resort, the tour company we booked the diving package with called to arrange a time for the car to pick us up at the resort. The car would arrive between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM to take us to Bang Baeng Pier. This pier is where all the boats that take people diving are docked.
When we arrived at Bang Baeng Pier, we walked along the path until we were almost at the lighthouse. The tour company gave us our diving equipment and took us to board the boat. Once everyone was on board, the boat set off for the Mu Ko Rang National Park, a journey of 1 hour and 30 minutes. During this time, you can rest your eyes or do what we do: sit and admire the sea view, taking photos all the way. The atmosphere is fantastic.
The journey from Bang Bao Pier to Mu Ko Chang National Park will take you through the many small islands of Trat's sea. Enjoy the natural beauty until you reach the first island where we will dive, called "Ko Yak Lek", after an hour and a half.
(Thank you for the beautiful pictures from ETDGUIDE.)
We get excited every time we get to admire the nature of the sea. It's a nature that doesn't need any embellishment. We can stay with the sea for months, diving until we turn black. :)
** We'll show you pictures of the island first, and then we'll collect pictures of the underwater world and show them to you all at once below.**
After admiring the underwater nature of Koh Yak Lek for 1 hour, the horn on the boat called us to get on board to travel to the next island. Oh!! After we finished diving at the first island, we got on the boat and smelled the delicious aroma of food. We will have lunch on the boat first. There are 3-4 dishes and fruits. Feel free to take whatever you want to eat.
After finishing our meal...the boat took us to the 2nd island, Koh Mapring, and the 3rd (a sandy beach) called Haad Sala.
Traveling to Koh Mapring, the 2nd diving spot. For friends who are still full from eating, near Koh Mapring there is a white sandy beach with clear seawater. We can get on the sandy beach by using the boat's rubber boat. We can play in the water at Haad Sala or paddle a kayak. As for those who want to dive, feel free to do so.
(Let me tell you a little secret. This sandy beach has black and white clownfish swimming around. If you're lucky, you'll get to see them like this.)
Koh Mapring (Image shared with permission and thanks to the owner)
Shrine Beach (with permission and thanks to the owner of the picture)
We didn't bring our camera down, so we'd like to share pictures taken by our friends.
Little Nemo the fish swims and plays at the Shrine Beach.
..........You can go diving. If you can't find it, ask the boat staff to take you there. ............
-----> We continue our journey to the 4th island, "Giant Island". Let me tell you that this island has the most beautiful coral reefs in the Trat Sea.
If you miss diving on this island, you haven't really been to the Mu Ko Rang National Park.
(Permission to share and thank the owner of the picture.)
1 hour passed quickly like a lie. Arrived at the 5th island called Ao Uthayan.
... You can jump into the clear water or walk on the long floating pontoon to watch the fish swim by. But be careful,
This beach has quite a lot of rocks, and when the tide goes out a lot, be careful not to get stabbed by a sea urchin while playing in the water.
Let's go diving at Mu Ko Rang National Park.
After we finish diving, we will return to the pier. On the boat, there is fresh water and a bathroom for changing clothes. On the way back, there will be snacks such as roasted sweet potatoes, barbecue, and pineapple for everyone. We will return to Bang Bao Pier.

Come on, let's take a look at the underwater world. How beautiful it is.
In addition, we will take you to visit a waterfall on Koh Chang, called Klong Plu Waterfall.
Don't be surprised by the owner of the post's face, haha.
The kind owner of the post has another place to recommend: "Grandpa's Fruit Garden".
To get to Grandpa's Fruit Garden, drive 5 kilometers east from the Ao Thammachat Ferry Pier. You will see a gas station on your right.
Turn in and ask anyone at the gas station (it belongs to the garden). The fruit garden is located opposite the gas station.
The durian is very delicious. We ate many of them. You can try to support them or visit the garden.
Enjoy your trip!
