Sometimes, the journey is not always about knowing the destination, knowing the end point.
Where to be, what to eat, who will be the companion, try something new.
Try changing your perspective, open your eyes and ears wide, let your brain and body rest.
Try stepping out, encountering new things that are not the same as before.
Hurry up and fill it up, "happiness" is not far from you.

Greetings to everyone! This post is more about sharing my experiences than writing a review. For this trip,

I only thought about it the day before I actually went. I just wanted to go, and I didn't care what the weather forecast said. I don't care, I can forecast my own weather. Haha.

This trip, I headed to Trang Province by train. I planned to visit places along the train route, mainly focusing on Kantang and Trang city. Initially, I considered visiting Libong Island, but due to the rainy season and high waves, I prioritized my safety. The trip lasted two days and one night. I started my journey by boarding the train at Surat Thani station. I took the Bangkok-Kantang train, third class, with a ticket price of 98 baht. The train arrived at 6:28 AM, slightly delayed, but no problem. I took pictures along the way.

The train arrived, and we boarded to find many empty seats. We could sit, lie down, or roll around in any corner we chose. After a while, the train started to move.

This is the first time I've taken the Andaman Railway, so I didn't sleep and just sat there enjoying the breeze and the scenery passing by.

The car came to a standstill at Khao Plu station for a while. Passengers were heard talking about a pickup truck colliding with a train, but the truth of this is unknown.

Feeling hungry, I came across a street vendor selling sticky rice with chicken. I ordered a plate for 35 baht and it was delicious.

Enjoying the scenery while eating chicken, what a delightful experience.

The train stopped at Thung Song Junction Station for a short while. It seemed to be refilling water in the bathroom and other things. There were many things for sale at cheap prices. If you want to buy anything to eat, buy it here because if the train starts running, the things that are sold on the train are expensive. The plain water that we bought for 7-10 baht was sold for 20 baht per bottle.

After a long while, the train started moving again. We sat with our faces against the wind. I saw an old Muslim man sitting next to me and secretly took a picture of him.

I hope this is helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions.

As the train pulled into "Huai Yot" station, almost everyone disembarked, leaving only a handful of passengers remaining, as seen in the photo.

(I think I was filming for too long. The uncle was about to throw his shoe at me for some reason. So I ran away to sit in the next carriage. -.-)

From Huai Yot to Trang Station, it was only a short ride, but I didn't get off yet. I went to visit Kantang Station first.

We have arrived at Kantang Station. It only took a short while. From what I have read about its history, Kantang Station is an old railway station, almost 100 years old. If I remember correctly, Kantang is not actually the last station on this railway line. It used to extend all the way to Kantang Port. However, according to historical records, the land was encroached upon by local residents. There are not many tourist attractions near Kantang. There is an old rubber tree, the house of Phraya Ratsadanupradit Mahisorn Phakdi, the cargo port, and if you want to go to Libong Island, you can board a boat at this port. It is not far away.

There is a small, charming cafe called "สถานีกาแฟ".

Tourists love to take photos at this sign that says "End of the Andamanda Skytrain Line".

Translation:

After taking photos at Kantang Station, I decided to buy a ticket to Trang due to the rain. The train ticket from Kantang to Trang cost 5 baht. (There is only one train per day to Kantang.) There were many empty seats, so I chose a seat with a good view of the passing train. The scenery was beautiful.

Translation:

The rain started falling while I was sitting down. I got up to close the window and saw a monk who couldn't reach it. So I closed it for him. He then gave me a box of milk, which was just what I needed to satisfy my hunger.

Translation:

"Fortunately, after talking to you, I found out that you know a monk near my house. Since I also know him, I chatted with him for a while. As we talked, I ended up asking him which temple he was staying at."

The speaker expressed their surprise upon learning that the monk resided in Penang, Malaysia. They spontaneously inquired about the possibility of staying at the monk's temple during their planned budget trip to Penang. The monk readily agreed and provided additional information, much to the speaker's delight.

We have arrived at Trang Station. There are three-wheeled tuk-tuks parked in front of the station, which is considered another unique feature of Trang city.

Leaving my accommodation for later, I decided to wander around the town. Local residents informed me of a Guanyin statue located on a nearby hill. I made my way up to visit the statue and was rewarded with stunning views of Trang city. The site is conveniently situated close to the train station. I recommend paying it a visit.

After climbing up and down the mountain, I was feeling pretty tired, so I decided to find a place to rest and take a shower. I walked around the clock tower area in Trang province and found a lot of hotels, but they were too expensive for me (traveling on a budget).

Translation:

Strolling along, I encountered a corpulent feline slumbering across my path, oblivious to the world.

Translation:

Walking along, we stopped at a venerable hotel that was over 60 years old. This was the "Go Teng" hotel, a budget-friendly accommodation for travelers.

Upon receiving the key, I went up to my room and, like any teenager, took photos and posted them on social media. And wouldn't you know it, all my good friends came out to show their support!

Translation:

"Be careful, you're sleeping alone," "Hey!! That place is haunted," and many more. But I wasn't scared. That night, I slept with the lights on and listened to loud music with my headphones. I slept like a baby. But there's nothing to worry about at this hotel. The only scary thing is my friends, who are really good at teasing me. -.- Let's take a look at the atmosphere inside the room."

After finding a place to sleep and taking a shower, I went out to get something to eat. I had only been eating chicken and sticky rice all day, so I stopped at a cold noodle shop near the clock tower. The taste was good, and the price was cheap, only 40 baht.

After finishing my meal, I returned to my room. What luck! I met a senior from university who lives here, and they're taking me out for dinner. Oh my, I'm already drooling! 555+

Translation:

The first restaurant is "Balcony", which serves delicious and affordable food in a pleasant atmosphere. Their signature dish is the "Suki Hot Pot", featuring a giant squid.

Translation:

The second stop was a delicious and affordable porridge and tofu shop (the food here is truly cheap, I must admit). The shop doesn't have a name, but it's called "Ko Lo" by the locals. My brother recommended it. As for the taste? Absolutely delightful!

This is the big boss, the main sponsor, haha!

The quality of the food can be judged by the number of diners at the neighboring tables.

Translation:

Cooked fresh in front of the shop, served piping hot.

After a satisfying meal, my companion drove me on a tour of the city at night. Due to the rain, the atmosphere was somewhat quiet and subdued.

...and stopped at the clock tower and the fountain in front of the governor's residence, which were both beautiful.

I haven't had enough to eat yet. My brother took me to another place. He's really kind ^^

Next is "Sin O Cha" shop, a chill-out restaurant with a wide variety of food, drinks, and desserts at affordable prices. Trang is truly a city of food.

Encountered the local residents staring at me!

After finishing my meal at this restaurant, I returned to my hotel room, where I continued to experience anxiety and suspense. My friends had teased me a lot, which made me feel a little paranoid.

Translation:

See you tomorrow! Haha, it's already morning! I survived! 555+ Just kidding.

...I woke up early this morning when there were few people and cars, so I came to capture the atmosphere in the city. Please enjoy watching! ^^

There might be something inside the house.

This house stands out remarkably.

The road is very empty and beautiful.

Come on! Hurry up, Dapple!

The weather is very hot today.

I came across an old cinema in Trang city called "Trang Rama".

The morning atmosphere in Trang is delightful. After a morning stroll and photo session, I received a pleasant surprise. My boss called and offered to take me for dim sum. What a treat!

Around eight o'clock, my brother picked me up and we headed to a dim sum restaurant. ^^

The restaurant I visited was "Ruen Thai Dim Sum," which serves delicious dim sum for only 20 baht per basket.

The store is packed, even though it's already eight o'clock.

Translation:

Dim sum comes in a wide variety of forms.

Just a small order to satisfy my cravings. ^^

Shrimp spring rolls with generous filling

Bouncy and delicious meat dumplings.

Take a look inside.

Translation:

A must-try local delicacy in Trang: "Grilled Pork" with crispy skin and succulent meat.

Leave your heart here at "Thai House Dim Sum".

Translation:

After breakfast, my brother dropped me off at my accommodation. We said our goodbyes and I thanked him before leaving. I felt a little sentimental, as I had to return home as well. I went back to my accommodation, packed my bags, and prepared to return to Surat Thani.

...Trang, a city of delicious food. 555

I came across a 25 baht lunchbox and 10 baht ice cream at Thung Song Junction Station. They were delicious!

On the way back, I sat at the end of the train. The view was beautiful, so I took some pictures to share with you.

This concludes my solo trip. Thank you to all my friends who followed along. Thank you very much. ^^

This is my fourth post. I have others, please check them out. Thank you. ^^
