Greetings to all readers. Tonight, I have something interesting to share. Since my trip to Laos, I've been busy working and haven't had much time to travel. However, from August 8th to 12th, 2015, I had the opportunity to visit Chiang Mai (although my original plan was to ride my motorcycle to Pakse, but the repairs weren't completed in time). So, I went to Chiang Mai instead. Let's see what interesting things I found there.

The first thing you need to do is take a bus to Mo Chit and buy a ticket to Chiang Mai. The price depends on your preference. If you want a comfortable ride, it will be more expensive. I took the night bus on the 7th and arrived on the morning of the 8th. Once you arrive, you can rent a motorbike or any other vehicle to get around. I rented a motorbike for 200 baht per day for 4 days, which cost me 800 baht in total. Here's my itinerary for the trip:

The scenery along the way is beautiful. This is Thailand, where even foreigners want to visit. The actual distance I rode was longer than this, and I got lost a few times as a stranger in a strange land. Anyway, let's get to the point. We've already been on the subject, haha. Come on, let's start. If you're ready, clap your hands three times. Clap louder. Clap again. Clap better. Let's get to the point. ^_^

The First Destination: Doi Pha Hom Pok

The first destination on the itinerary is Doi Pha Hom Pok, the highest point in the national park. Just thinking about it makes my heart race. I'm eager to spend a night camping there and experience it firsthand. On the way, we stopped by the Mae Ngad Dam, and the scenery along the road was truly breathtaking. Take a look for yourself:

Even rice farmers are beautiful. Look at the backs of the farmers. Their backs are as strong as the sky and their faces are as tough as the soil. When they eat, they recite the rice mantra with every dish. It won't be long before they reach the Maengat Dam.

It was scorching hot at that moment, but thankfully there was a beverage shop nearby and a pavilion to rest in, which helped to alleviate the heat considerably.

Simply put, the dam is just a dam, but it's so beautiful that you can't miss it. After resting, it's better to ride on to the next destination. Ride along the way and you'll soon reach this national park.

"Where's the mountain? It doesn't seem that high at all. When I asked the officer,…"

Me: Excuse me, brother, where is Doi Pha Hom Pok located?

Officer: "Oh, you're going the wrong way, young man!" (At that moment, a loud "whoa" could be heard. Haha, he went the wrong way.) "Well, since you're already here, why not stop by? There's a hot spring and a waterfall inside."

Approach it slowly and see what it is.

Exhausted from walking, I decided to head back to the tourist information center to inquire about reaching the top of the mountain. I feigned ignorance, asking the staff for directions, knowing full well they wouldn't allow me to proceed. However, determined to reach my destination, I disregarded their warnings. Following the staff's instructions, I rode my motorbike, keeping a close eye on the roadside signs. As I approached a small village, I inquired about the route from the locals and continued along the path. Coincidentally, I encountered farmers plowing their fields at the exact location where I had sought directions.

After driving for a while, you will encounter a checkpoint. Ignore it and don't stop. If they ask where you're going, just say you're going around the area, not up the mountain. But secretly, you're going up the mountain! Haha. The reason they don't let you go up is probably because the road is dangerous. As soon as you enter, before you even reach halfway, wow, watch out!

After escaping the muddy and slippery path, they encountered this situation.

Another fallen tree blocked the biker's path. "Why are there so many obstacles?" he thought. Fortunately, some branches were placed nearby, allowing him to cross the tree with less effort. Continuing along the path, he encountered a sign. He followed the sign, or perhaps he went to the "Small House in the Big Forest" project, which wasn't far away. The village looked lovely.

As I continued riding, the sky grew darker and darker, as if I were running into a thick fog. When I finally reached the destination, all I could hear was the chirping of crickets. There was no one around. But wait, I saw two dogs. At first, they stared at me menacingly, and I was afraid they would bite. But I decided to try calling them over.

The dog ran towards me from afar, which scared me. However, when it got closer, I followed the steps by letting it sniff my hand before giving it some treats. It ate everything I gave it, probably because it was very hungry and hadn't been fed. If you go up there again, please buy some treats for the dog. I really feel sorry for it.

Distracted by the dog, I forgot that this is the highest point in the tent. Wow, it's amazing!

Exploring the surroundings, I noticed offices and residences nearby. However, I did not venture inside as it required a significant uphill climb. Shortly after, rain began to fall.

I decided to ride down the hill before the rain got too heavy and I wouldn't be able to get down. But as soon as I started riding, the sky cleared up.

Upon arriving at the office downstairs, the sun was blazing hot. Maggie, having just experienced cold weather, sneezed once.

The initial plan was to travel to Chiang Rai, but laziness took over, so we opted for a nearby location. After browsing the map, Doi Ang Khang appeared close by, and we decided to spend the night there. (If you're ever stuck for travel inspiration, try exploring the map – you might stumble upon hidden gems!) We embarked on a motorbike journey to Doi Ang Khang, stopping for a roadside meal on a mountain along the 1249 route. The combination of delicious food, breathtaking views, and photo opportunities brought immense joy. Sometimes, life requires a slower pace, something that we, as factory workers, desperately crave.

The village in the valley was soon reached, just as the sun was setting. The timing was perfect.

After finding a satisfactory place to stay for 300 baht per night, conveniently located near a restaurant, I unpacked my belongings and enjoyed a leisurely bike ride around the project.

His life seems simple and easy, unlike us salarymen who have to deal with so much. After riding his motorcycle, he eats at his accommodation. He couldn't think of anything else to order, so he just had an omelet. Tomorrow, he'll wake up early to watch the sea of fog. The first day ended in a daze.

A 1,887 km Tale of a Boy and His Car

Continuing the story, I woke up at 6:00 AM on the 9th. It was still dark, so I decided to sleep in. When I woke up again, wow, everything outside was covered in white! I decided to take a chance and see the beautiful sea of fog, so I went out to various locations. The weather was extremely cold, but I hadn't brought any warm clothes. The first place I went to was the Mon Son viewpoint.

The air is so white, haha. It's over, I woke up early, so I went back to the village, but wait a minute. Did you see something flashing on the side of the road, Maggie? Look at the side of the road, it's beautiful. When I looked out, I saw the village like this...

There is a small gap that you might not notice if you ride fast.

Look at my mother, she is so beautiful! The village in the mist is so beautiful, it's really beautiful. This is the rainy season, not even winter, and it's already beautiful. I watched for a while and the mist swallowed the village completely...

He then rode on to the village of Nolay.

The journey continued to the Two Thousand Tea Plantation, with a few stops along the way. The road was incredibly enjoyable, with significantly less traffic compared to the peak winter season. Each location was practically deserted, creating a truly peaceful atmosphere. No need to fight for space or endure the hustle and bustle of crowds. This is genuine relaxation, a complete escape from the tourist frenzy.

We arrived at the tea plantation shortly after we started riding, but the rain hadn't started yet. The weather at that time was quite frightening. Take a look.

After taking photos, we sat down to rest and eat lunch while enjoying the view of the tea plantation. Wow, life couldn't be slower! ^_^ Then, we took a short ride around the Royal Project. We didn't pay the entrance fee because we entered through the exit. Haha! We saw some locals riding in through the exit, so we followed suit. Haha! Let's take a look at the photos.

The project consists of many parts, many of which people have probably already visited. I think there's no need to say much more, let's just look at the pictures.

This year's sunflower field appears to be more beautiful than ever. Let's all work together to keep it clean and protect the plants. When taking photos, please avoid entering the sunflower field. You can take beautiful pictures from outside the field, allowing others to enjoy the view and capture their own memories.

After exploring Ang Khang, we packed our belongings and continued our journey. The road ahead was long and winding. ^_^ Once we had finished packing, we looked forward to our next destination.

He rode until he reached the red cliff.

At that moment, it was incredibly hot. I couldn't think straight, but for some reason, I felt an urge to go to Doi Inthanon. So, I rode my motorbike from Ang Khang down to Doi Inthanon. Little did I know, it was incredibly far. It felt like I would never reach my destination. Maybe I was just in too much of a hurry. When I finally arrived at the checkpoint at Doi Inthanon, the officer told me I could pay at the second checkpoint. So, I continued riding. As expected, many people have probably been to Doi Inthanon countless times.

He then stood and played, letting the snowballs hit his face lightly. After that, he climbed to the top of the mountain, where the path was completely covered in white snow, making it almost impossible to see.

After taking some photos, I went down to the park office alone and got a really cheap price for accommodation. The house was super cute, too. Guess how much it was?

It's time to relax again as usual. A day of travel passes by so quickly, unlike when we work and have to keep an eye on the clock, wondering when it will be noon or when we can finally get off work. So, for those of you who have regular jobs, try doing something you enjoy the most during the weekends. When it's time to go back to work, you'll feel more relaxed and less stressed about your job. Is it really true? You have to try it to see, but for me, it really helps a lot.

Good night everyone, I'm going to bed now.

The next morning, and then the next… What the heck???

This morning, I went up to the top of the mountain again. It felt like there were no other tourists around, and it was like, "Wow, is this my house? It's so private!"

The weather is so cold and there are not many people. Let's go to Mae Pan Waterfall next. I want to tell you that the entrance fee to the park is free. ^_^ Mae Pan Waterfall is a short walk away, but not too far. The point is that walking alone is very scary. I suggest you don't walk alone. Find a friend to go with you. As for the entrance to the waterfall, there will be a sign on the side of the road. We have to look carefully. If you are blind, you will miss it. Haha.

I want to keep the waterfall for a long time, so I.....

If you go there and there is no water, don't blame me, haha. Anyway, since I came this way, I wanted to stop by the Pa Pong Piang village, but the entrance is like, wow, wow, wow again, haha. Look at this.

This is just the beginning of the path, and it continues like this all the way. The further you go, the muddier it gets.

Upon arrival, the scenery was breathtaking. The sun was shining brightly, so I took the opportunity to relax at the guesthouse for an extended period. I washed my shoes and socks, and you won't believe it, I used water from the nearby rice terraces that were constantly flowing. (It definitely wasn't water from the temple pond, what does that even have to do with anything?) The water was incredibly clean, as it originated from the Mae Pan Waterfall.

The overall atmosphere is eerily quiet. It's so quiet that it's almost unsettling. This is the quietest place I've ever been. I'm all alone here, and the silence is starting to get to me. I'm feeling lonely.

Waiting... While waiting for the shoes to dry, I played on the internet and saw a lot of people going to Mae Kampong. I also wanted to go, but where the hell is it? I recommend this place for those who like a simple lifestyle. You can get my number later. I'll keep it. It would be great to stay here during the winter, but be warned, there is no electricity. However, there is 4G, so at least you can stay connected.

Translation:

Hey, the socks and shoes are dry! Let's go to Mae Kampong. We'll take the walking trail from Doi Inthanon and stop at different places that we didn't visit on the way up.

Lost my way, but whatever, I'm too lazy to tell the story. I just got lost, but it took me forever to get back on track. I almost cried, and I was about to run out of gas. And soon...

Translation:

The sun was setting over Mae Kampong, and it was even more beautiful in person than in pictures. Unfortunately, all the guesthouses in the village were full because it was a holiday. Luckily, a kind uncle took me to stay at Samran Chon. The owner, an elderly lady, was incredibly kind and only charged me 350 baht for the night. I had the whole place to myself! The central area was a large open space perfect for relaxing and enjoying a beer. That night, the sky offered me a breathtaking sight, a companion that wasn't alive, but it was…

I have never been able to take a picture of the Milky Way before. This is the first one in my life. I have to thank a person on Facebook who taught me how to take pictures in front of the wall at that time. So I only got two pictures because I didn't bring a tripod with me. It was a shame. After that, I went to bed and had a good dream.

Good morning, everyone! ☀️

I woke up early in the hope of seeing the sunrise, but alas, I saw nothing.

Let me add one more thing: the road up to Giw Fin is incredibly steep. If you're driving yourself, be very careful. It's seriously dangerous. After going up for a while, we went back down to the bottom and had coffee at Chom Nok Chom Mai. This is a must-visit spot because it offers the most stunning view of the village. If you stay until sunset, it's absolutely breathtaking. However, the cafe closes before sunset.

In the late morning, we took a tour of the village. There were many things to see, but we were too lazy to walk around. Mae Kampong Village has three sections. If you are worried about not being able to reach them, you can ask the villagers along the way. They are very friendly.

The temple is situated on an island in the middle of the water, which is quite impressive. This design may reflect the ingenuity of the local people in the past, who sought to protect the temple from termites and other pests.

And then go to another coffee shop. It's like if you come to Mae Kampong and don't come here, it's like you haven't arrived or something, you know?

One thing we really liked was the dogs. Every dog here has its own unique personality. Look at this one, for example. It's so handsome! Who put a mask on it? Haha! We loved it. As evening fell, it started to rain again. We were planning to go out again, but we didn't know where to go. We just knew we wanted to be in the city, but we didn't end up going. So I went back to my accommodation and slept there for another night. The next morning, I returned to Chiang Mai smoothly.

And life gradually entered the cycle of bad luck again. Wake up - shower - work - shower - sleep. Who is like me? And finally, I would like to ask all salaried people to live their lives happily, as if today is our last day. Believe me, "If you really knew that today was the last day you would be on this earth, the first thing you would think of doing would not be the regular job you do, even though it is a job that you have a high responsibility for. So, never mind about work, but we still have to be responsible, but only during work hours. Let's take the rest of our time to start doing what we want to do. Let's start right now, it's not too late. Then we won't have to say, "I wish I had done it that way back then" in 10 years." Does anyone have any questions? If not, I would like to end my presentation here. Thank you very much. Thank you very much for following me. My language may not be to everyone's liking because I just want to tell it like I would tell it to a close friend because I think everyone is a friend, we just haven't gotten to know each other yet.

Goodbye ^_^
