This is Kovit Hut at the End of the Rice Field in Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province. The room rate is 900 baht per person. At first, I thought it was expensive, but when I arrived, I realized that the price was more than worth it.

The journey began when a friend sent me a picture of the accommodation. The first impression I had was, "Wow! It's so natural and incredibly cool."

This location is ideal for nature lovers seeking relaxation. Perched atop a mountain, it offers only a handful of accommodations, ensuring tranquility and seclusion.

Let's first take a look at how to get here.

Getting There

By car: From Chiang Mai city, head south towards Chom Thong district. Turn onto the Doi Inthanon road and pass through the first checkpoint. Continue along the road until you reach the second checkpoint, then turn left towards Mae Chaem district.

Continue driving until you see the sign for Ban Pha Nang, turn left and follow the road to Wat Mae Raek. Due to the poor road conditions, only large vehicles can access this route. You will need to contact Mr. Kowit to arrange a pick-up.

From the airport or bus station: Take a bus from the Chiang Mai Gate. The Chiang Mai-Chom Thong route is served by yellow and blue buses. The fare is 34 baht and you should get off at Wat Phra That Chom Thong.

At the temple, you will find the Mae Chaem bus queue. Take a bus to Mae Chaem for 70 baht. You can get off at several points: 1) Ban Mae Raek entrance, 2) Ban Pha Nang entrance, or 3) Ban Na Reu intersection (Baan Por Thep).

The entrance to the accommodation is characterized by towering mountains interspersed with lush greenery and breathtaking views of rice terraces. The scenic beauty of the location is evident right from the entrance.

This is the accommodation of Govit Khum Plai Na, a resort nestled amidst mountains and nature.

At first glance, one can't help but exclaim "Wow!" at the sheer delight that lies before them.

Staying here allows us to dangle our feet, immerse ourselves in nature, and connect with those around us.

Waking up to stunning views right outside your window – could it get any better?

The bedroom may lack amenities, but the bed, pillows, and blankets are incredibly comfortable. It also has a private bathroom.

Dinner at the resort was a full-blown Khantoke feast. According to Wit, the owner of the resort, the food was incredibly delicious.

Waking up in the morning, we will see the mist flowing through the mountains and experience the cool atmosphere from the accommodation.

And it's not just mountains, trees, and fog here. There's also a stream flowing near the accommodation.

Or, you can relax in front of your accommodation and dip your feet in the water, as there is a small stream flowing by.

Overall, I consider the Gowit Khum Plai Na Resort in Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province to be a good place to stay.

This is another interesting accommodation option for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation.

What I like most is the rawness and freshness of nature. Because here, there is everything that nature should have.
