Let's go on a trip.

Take the first flight to Chiang Mai Province to meet friends who went ahead.

We are almost there!

We will be traveling from Chiang Mai to Nan by private car. There will be a total of 5 people traveling together.

I met my friends at the airport and we grabbed a bite to eat before heading out.

We had some delicious congee, but I can't remember the name of the restaurant, sorry! There are many great places to eat congee here, though.

After we were full, we set off on our journey.

Before we reach our destination, let's talk about something.

The story of our charity trip is that a teacher contacted my brother (the young man in the picture) to buy a second-hand guitar.

After talking,

My brother asked what kind of music he would play.

It turned out that he would play it for the children at the school on the mountain in Nan Province.

This teacher had been cheated by buying a guitar on the internet before.

My brother wanted to help, so he raised funds to buy a new guitar to donate.

After the announcement, he received a lot of positive responses from kind-hearted people.

The budget increased until it exceeded the budget to buy a guitar.

Therefore!!!

With our immense desire to visit Nan... 5555

We decided to raise more funds and buy all the necessities for the school.

To donate to the children at Baan Piang Sao School, Nan Province ourselves. Yay!!!

We have already started our journey, which is expected to take 5-6 hours.

We didn't leave until 10 am, so we won't arrive in the city center until late in the evening.

Ban Piang Sao School is located in Khun Nan Subdistrict, Chalermprakiet District, Nan Province.

It is a school granted by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

We need to transfer to another vehicle to get there.

As the entire budget we received is from kind donors,

We have to use our own personal expenses. Let's save a little.

We stopped by a roadside stall for a 25 baht snack, which was delicious.

Upon arriving in Nan city, we met with Kru Koy, who would take us up to the school.

We had to park our car at the school at the foot of the mountain and then take a pickup truck up.

The journey took longer than expected, and it was already dark when we arrived.

Due to problems with the transportation of goods for the next day's activities,

we lost about 2 hours. However, everything went well in the end.

I took a school pickup truck to my destination.

It was almost 9 pm, the weather was very cold and foggy.

I was exhausted, but the scenery around me was breathtaking.

The Warm Welcome of Northern Hospitality

The teachers here are incredibly kind and welcoming. Upon arrival, they had prepared a delicious spread of local dishes for us to enjoy.

The highlight was the homemade "nam prik num," a northern Thai chili dip. It was incredibly flavorful and unlike anything I've ever tasted before. Having only experienced the pre-packaged version, this freshly made dip was a revelation. The authentic flavors of the north truly shine through, making it a far superior experience.

After eating, I took a walk to explore and digest my food. Hehe.

I saw many strange-looking butterflies.

After introducing ourselves to all the teachers and discussing the details of tomorrow's activities,

my younger brother played the guitar for the teachers as a special treat for the delicious dinner we enjoyed.

Many teachers sang along, laughter filled the air, and smiles spread across everyone's faces. We were truly touched by the experience.

Bidding farewell to the night with a warm bonfire.

We're sleeping at school tonight. The teachers have prepared beds for us.

It's like staying at a local guesthouse.

Good morning everyone! I woke up too late to see the sea of mist. TT

The principal told us that there is a sea of mist here. If we want to see it, we have to wake up at 6 am.

He will take us there, but we were all sleeping soundly. 5555 What a pity!

The children are starting to line up. I'm so excited!

While the children were waiting in line at the flagpole, the teacher also prepared breakfast for us.

Amazing! They are so accommodating.

They served rice porridge with salted egg, fried pork bones (the meat was very tender), and small fried fish.

This is my favorite. It goes perfectly with rice porridge. It's so delicious.

After a delicious meal, we started our fun activities. ^^

We beautifully arranged the donated items. Thank you again to all the kind adults for your generosity towards the children.

Not everyone is here today, almost half are missing.

But those who are here are already a lot for us. ToT

The opening ceremony was then conducted by the principal.

The event then commenced with the first performance prepared by the children for our viewing pleasure.

The performance of the young man was hilarious!

It's the girls' turn to dance for us. They're adorable, just like children from the mountains. ^^

After the children's activities were over, our activities began.

We had planned some general recreational activities, focusing on fun.

Musical chairs, long-winded speaking contests, quiz contests with prizes, and clapping songs.

And many more. All of these were morning activities.

Let the children go for lunch at noon and meet again in the afternoon.

Our lunch is here, and we asked the teacher to make some chili paste and pork bones.

It's really delicious ^^ The best ever.

Thank you for your kindness to us.

The afternoon activities were music and sports. We chose football for the sport.

After playing football with the children, we started a band.

We brought some equipment, and of course, the guitar that started it all ;)

We used the guitar that we were going to donate to play for the children.

Everyone enjoyed the music we played and cooperated very well.

Two teachers joined us as guests to play with us.

And the children took turns singing songs.

Some people are having so much fun that they have to stand on chairs, showing off their moves!

The songs that are played for the kids to dance to are a mix of Thai, pop, and some folk songs.

We're not forcing them to be city people, just having fun and relaxing.

We want them to feel like today is a special day, a real day to relax their brains.

Our fun-filled weekend trip to Ban Piang So School has come to an end.

We had an amazing time and created many wonderful memories over the past two days.

We will never forget the kindness and warmth of the people here.

It was a truly special time. :)

Don't walk far at night, there are dangers all around.

Treat the people there as if they were your relatives.

The people in this area are a mix of Karen, Hmong, and many other tribes who believe in the spirits of their ancestors and the spirits of the forest.

Be careful what you say.

Don't think that just because they are hill tribe people, you can say anything you want to them.

Some of them understand Thai. These children are lovely.

We stopped by Doi Phu Kha National Park. The fog was very thick and it was very cold.

The vastness stretched as far as the eye could see, and the air was so fresh and invigorating.
