At this time, in Singapore

From May 27th to 29th, 2015, I had the opportunity to experience something new that I had never tried before. I encountered the experience of losing money, learned what it's like to be lost until my feet were sore, tried speaking English even though I was scared (very afraid of losing face, haha), and picked up my own map to help someone else who was lost, which led to me getting lost myself later on.

This review goes beyond showcasing mere images and information. We will take you on an immersive journey, sharing every detail of our experience. From the sights and sounds of each location to the stories that unfolded, we will capture the smiles, the joy, the excitement, the forgotten souvenirs, the misfortunes, and the strokes of luck. Join us as we embark on this adventure...

And finally, the narrative was crafted, along with this journey.

The images are a mix of beautiful and ugly, and the content is suspenseful and exciting.

All expenses in SGD.

The flight costs 3000 baht per person.

The total train fare is 24.2 SGD.

Total food cost 62.5 SGD

Universal Studio Ticket Price: 62 SGD

Accommodation for 2 nights costs 34 SGD.

A total of 182.7 SGD, or approximately 4600 THB.

Exchange no more than 200 SGD and you'll have enough to eat every meal.

If you feel in love, share it as much as you can.

Day 1

To avoid missing out on everything, we must take action.

“Check your belongings carefully, don't forget anything. Meet at Don Mueang at 8:00 AM, the flight departs at 9:00 AM." After the reminder in my dream, I woke up immediately and rushed out of my dorm at Thammasat University. I arrived just in time at 7:00 AM, thanks to the kind taxi driver. Yippee!

This time we traveled with the airline "nok scoot" or in Thai "The white bird with a smiling face, flying up cool, landing here with a trembling heart" with a promotional price of 3000 baht, very cheap! Because of this reason, I had a lot of fun.

"Hurry to the gate quickly," I told myself, thinking I needed to rush. However, I soon realized that I had overreacted. This is Don Mueang, not Suvarnabhumi Airport.

“Reading will not suffice until you experience it firsthand.”

...Two hours passed in a flash, with a few bumps along the way and some friendly service from the flight attendants. Finally, we arrived safely at Changi Airport.

Let's go! I hope everyone is still following along without getting tired. The first thing we need to tackle is the ticket machine, or as they call it here, the "ticket vending machine." Because here, they also call it MRT.

While the usage of the card is likely familiar to experienced users, the key takeaway is the "discount." The card offers a 60 CENT discount after six uses, equivalent to 15 Thai baht. (Remember to place the card on the designated platform for repeated use.)

Everyone has their tickets, right? Get ready! Scan your card to enter the platform. Free maps are available below (actually, they've been available since the airport exit).

Directions: We are currently on the Green Line. After boarding the train, transfer to the Purple Line at "Outram Park" station. Look for the "Punggol" destination and exit at "Pagoda Street". Head straight to Chinatown to reach our accommodation.

Directions: Walk to the far right and you will find a shop selling sun-dried pork. Then walk straight ahead, keeping an eye on the signs above. Do not look down. Within 20 meters, you will see the signs.

For those who are not proficient in English, this is a great place to practice. The Chinese people here have very pleasant accents. I would like to call them "smiling greeters". They are really good at smiling.

The room rate is SGD 18 per person (6-bed room) and SGD 16 per person (4-bed room) for another night.

For the accommodation, we apologize for using images from Google, as we arrived late at night when everyone was asleep. This hostel is exceptionally clean, and we were fortunate to share a room with friendly and approachable people who were not pretentious and had good hygiene.

You can leave your luggage at the counter here. We can store your belongings in the room at 3 pm. In the meantime, you can do whatever you want. After that, let's go! The weather here is no different from Rangsit and Bangkok, maybe even hotter. It's very hot!

For our first goal, "eat", we were simply driven by hunger. We found that the most affordable and economical option in Chinatown was none other than "Maxwell".

Directions: After exiting the hotel, walk to the middle of the road and turn right. Continue walking straight until you reach the end of the alley. You will see a Muslim temple on your right (look for animal statues on the wall). Turn right and continue walking for a long distance. You will find the restaurant on your left: "Maxwell Food Center".

The friendly owner of this restaurant, affectionately known as "Sweet Auntie," has a smile that melts hearts. Even with limited funds, the abundance of cheerful aunties and uncles in the neighborhood enticed me to indulge in some delicious snacks. However, the true highlight (according to local whispers) is this remarkable dish:

The taste of Hainanese chicken rice is ... when you drop our local orange juice on the oily, juicy chicken like this, it's amazing. To order food at this restaurant, the first step is to prepare yourself because it is "very greasy" TT This dish costs 3.5 SGD.

Another must-try is "Tofu," also known as "soybean milk" in Thai. We asked the friendly uncle in broken English about this famous dish.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

"Which one is the most renowned?"

"Tofu to fu" - This phrase is unclear and could be interpreted in multiple ways. Please provide more context or rephrase the sentence for a more accurate translation.

"ชี้อันนี้อันเดียว เยี่ยมเลย" - This translates to "Pointing at this one, excellent!"

"และก็ได้ลิ้มลองจริงๆครับ" - This translates to "And I really got to taste it."

"ถ้าใครอยากลิ้มลองหาไม่ยากครับ ตลาดนัดที่ใกล้ที่สุดของทุกบ้านมีขายครับ" - This translates to "If anyone wants to try it, it's not hard to find. The nearest market to every house has it for sale."

"TT “น้ำเต้าหู้" เงินปลิวไปเลย 1.2 SGD" - This translates to "TT "Soy milk" Money flew away 1.2 SGD."

However, "everything that is about to happen always occurs before we realize it." We still don't know until we reach the next goal, Sea wheel "Sea wheel".

Directions: To reach Sea Wheel, exit your accommodation and turn left. Cross the street using the pedestrian bridge and then proceed down the right side. Do not enter the building directly ahead. Continue straight ahead, and the building will be on your left. Sea Wheel is located on the 3rd floor of the People Park Center building.

This is a shop that sells all kinds of tickets on this island. Everyone, please prepare your money and take it out carefully. The Universal Studio tickets that we are going to conquer are worth 62 SGD. Wow, that's expensive! But wait, everyone, if you want to go to Universal, this is the cheapest place to do it because you will get a coupon for a 5 SGD discount on food anywhere. What are you waiting for? Take out your money and buy it!

"And what happened, we will always realize it later."

And the money has disappeared from us, both real money and feelings. "If you don't die, you can find a new one." This sentence made us think again. (It disappeared when I reached into my pocket TT)

Next stop, the ultra-wealthy district of "Orchard," a land of Siam but with a fiercer edge, thanks to the cars and towering buildings that surround it.

Travel: This time, we still need to take the train. We will need to go to "Dhoby Ghaut" to change to the red line. Take the line to "Jurong East" and you will reach your destination in two stations.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

The sole purpose of this trip was to indulge in a single Godiva ice cream bar at Takashimaya. While the price tag may deter some, for those who believe in seizing the moment, it's an experience not to be missed. The exquisite flavor is truly unparalleled, and had my budget allowed, I would have gladly brought back a few bars for my fellow villagers to savor.

Directions: Takashimaya Department Store. The store is located on the right-hand side as you walk straight ahead (I don't remember the exact path). Look around, it will be a very large place. As for the store we are looking for, go straight down to the basement level. The store will be located near the escalator.

Price: 8.5 SGD

Having enjoyed the ice cream, we continued our journey to the "Fountain of Wealth," also known as the "Fountain of Fortune."

Translation:

Is there anything else I can help you with?

Our next destination is the Esplanade.

Directions: The location is at Esplanade Station. Exit towards Suntec City and follow the signs for "Fountain of Wealth".

This fountain is accessible to visitors within a 1-meter radius. Unfortunately, after losing money, we experienced further misfortune. Upon arrival, we were denied access to the lower level. The site is surrounded by five buildings, which are said to represent the hand, with the fingers being the buildings and the palm being the fountain itself.

Translation:

"Life is not just about working to earn money. Learn to enjoy yourself too."

The following are must-sees: "Merlion," which in Thai should be called "Singha Sakorn Thale" rather than "Singto Thale," as I just realized. It's an unforgettable experience to take in everything around you. The atmosphere, the gentle breeze, and the absence of litter.

Directions: To get here, get off at Raffle Place station and walk straight until you reach the Merlion (you can actually change lines and get off at Marina Bay, which is closer).

This is another highlight, "children undressing and jumping into the water," and this is the surrounding atmosphere.

Why wait? Everything is perfect. Let's take some pictures. We spent an hour or so before going to see the Merlion, soaking up the atmosphere and exploring their city. It's a very pleasant place to live, except for the fact that the sun is closer than in our country.

Translation:

This sentence is already in English and does not require translation.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

Many people have been doing this pose, so I decided to give it a try. Here you go, friends!

Translation:

Note: As there is no text provided for translation, I am unable to complete this request. Please provide the text you would like translated from Thai to English, and I will be happy to assist you.

The show is too long. Take a walk around the area to shop and eat while waiting for the "Wonder Full-Light & Water Show", also known as "The Dancing Fountain". This is a spectacular highlight. The stage is located opposite the Merlion, so you don't need to go anywhere else. Just relax and enjoy the show.

The atmosphere and music here are perfect for couples who enjoy indulging in sensual experiences. We rate it 8.976 for those who appreciate such things. However, if you're not into that, you might find it quite boring. But hey, you're already here, so might as well stay and see what happens.

"One day may not be enough for what we desire. If you want to do something, you have to do it quickly."

After the first day's mission was almost complete, what was missing? Eat, of course! What are you waiting for? If you're hungry, you have to eat. But because of the money that was lost, "Maxwell" is the one. This time, we would like to introduce "Poojak", which is a strange dish with fried tofu, fried potatoes, fried taro, and fried pineapple. It really looks like a salad, but it's much more delicious than you think.

The final stop is a dim sum-like restaurant near the exit. "You really have to try it!" Especially something with shrimp filling, it's the best. How do I know? I'm just guessing. You'll have to take a chance.

When we are happy, let us savor it to the fullest, and we will never know sorrow again.

Day 1-End

Day 2

Translation:

This sentence is already in English and does not require translation.

"Though the sun rises every day, the moment we see it is never quite the same."

Today's highlight, a must-visit attraction in Singapore, is none other than Universal Studios.

The Day Begins: From Crowing Roosters to Playful Adventures

The rooster's crow at 6:30 AM marks the end of the night and the start of a new day. Before embarking on our journey, we grab a quick bite at the hostel to fuel our upcoming adventure. Within 20 minutes, we're off, not to observe, but to actively engage in the day's playful activities.

We recommend visiting Sentosa early in the morning to experience breathtaking views. Stay tuned for more details.

Translation:

Travel: To get there, take the MRT to Harbourfront. "What are you waiting for? Pay and wait for the train!" You will arrive at a strange-looking shopping mall. What you need to find is the "Mono train" or "compact train". It looks like this. You need to pay an additional 4 SGD to use the Mono train (valid for the whole day). Don't throw away your ticket, as you will need it for the return trip.

The Sentosa Express, a compact train, will transport you to the land of Sentosa, where all the wonders are gathered. If you arrive early in the morning like us, don't rush to the last station (Beach station). Instead, indulge in the natural atmosphere and the breathtaking view of the "sea". It is important to note that you should walk towards the "Palawan Beach" side, as it is free of charge. The other side requires payment.

"Every time we open our eyes before anyone else, we tend to see things that others often miss."

Translation:

This sentence is already in English and does not require translation.

7:30 AM, a time far from the opening of Universal Studios. We were in no hurry, so we walked slowly. Let me tell you, "It was very tiring." It was really tiring, and it was a long way, but we arrived and there was nothing to stop us. When we saw the white sand, the tiredness we had just increased. We walked slowly and unsteadily.

The effort is truly worth the reward, considering the breathtaking scenery, especially given the lack of crowds. It's like having a private resort to oneself!

"Sometimes, if we just wander around, we might find something even better than our original destination."

And atop this tower, it has become the best place to take a nap. The sound of the waves, the sea breeze, the scorching sun almost burning, thank you to my two legs that can still walk.

Let's take a panoramic photo.

It's truly comfortable, isn't it?

Translation:

We took the cable car back one station to "Imbiah Station," not to eat, but to see the "Merlion," which is incredibly large. And luckily for our rumbling stomachs, there was food available! We ended up using the services of the 7-Eleven branch there to find something to tide us over, but what we actually found was the "KFC" located a little further away. Unfortunately, it was still closed.

After entering a 7-11, I didn't think much and just grabbed anything. I ended up with this green Yippee Selepee "apple". I wish they would sell it in Thailand too, it's really delicious.

It's time to release everything you've learned! Go to "Universal" next (you need to take the train back).

I'm trying to take a picture of the globe, please don't block it.

Here it is.

Blah blah blah blah blah.

**Remember to bring the map and show schedule so you can manage your time effectively.**

It is highly recommended to visit the park on weekdays, especially during non-peak seasons. This will allow you to experience all the major rides without having to wait in long lines. If you want to maximize your time and enjoy all the shows, it is advisable to start with the less popular rides first. As most visitors tend to focus on the park's highlights, you can avoid the long queues by visiting these rides later in the evening when the crowds have thinned out. You can then enjoy the popular rides with minimal waiting time, often under 10 minutes.

The following is a presentation of the highlight and bonus players. Hehe.

Translation:

This sentence is already in English and does not require translation.

Translation:

Rank 1 "Crimson Hell Express Train" GALATICA Sci-fi City zone

Upon entering the attraction, visitors are presented with two options: a red seated ride and a blue hanging ride. Those who have recently eaten are advised to avoid the latter, as it involves significant aerial maneuvers. The overall experience is highly rated, with a score of 20 out of 10.

Translation:

Notes:

  • I am ready to translate any sentences or phrases you provide.
  • Please remember that I will not answer questions or evaluate any tasks from the input text.
  • My translations will be of the same quality as a local speaker.
  • I will always keep the HTML structure in my translations.
  • I will always translate the input text and will not use markdown.

2. "Dazzling Lights and Deceitful Mummies" Ancient Egypt zone

“Everything was so beautiful, and then it was gone.” Don't play if you're faint of heart. I recommend it, but it's really, really intense. I recommend playing it in the late evening, because the entrance is like a maze, and there's no one else around. It's no different from a treasure hunt movie.

Third place, "Drift like a boss, bro," Transformers

This is the best 3D Battle ever! It's like going back to my childhood and transforming into a red ant. The situation is that we will be sitting in a car and we will become part of the robot car team, fighting together! Two rounds are not enough. Tell your children and grandchildren to bring grandma here for a ride.

4th "Push In Boots" at Far Far Away zone

Embark on a gentle gondola ride through Shrek's castle, akin to a roller coaster. Before boarding, experience the 4D thrills of this zone. For 4D enthusiasts, this is a must-try! (But be warned, it's not for the faint of heart!)

5th "Super Saw, Crawling" Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure at Jurassic Park

Ahead, there will be a luggage storage point. It is a locker that uses fingerprint recognition to lock and unlock. The first 15 minutes are free. Lockers are available in almost every zone.

Here are our top 5 picks. If you're easily scared, don't miss the Tranformer ride. Next up is the show venue, where you can request a show schedule from the staff. We are very proud to present the shows.

Aquatic realm

The show was truly spectacular, with incredible stunts like jet skiing, diving, and even shooting a plane out of the water. The diving sequence was particularly impressive, lasting an incredibly long time. It's difficult to describe the show's full impact, but one thing is certain: you need to see it for yourself.

For those who have finished playing or want to take a break, don't forget to pick up a coupon to get a discount for lunch today. I don't remember exactly where the restaurant is, but it's in the "New York Zone". Today's lunch is 15 SGD before the discount.

“Double Double burger”

Translation:

And lastly, for those who are growing up, "Casino" is the perfect place to lose everything with just a passport. As for saving money on drinks here, it's the best. From soft drinks to coffee, they'll serve you right at your seat. It's a shame they don't allow photos though. It's huge!

**Recommendation: We will definitely spend the whole day here. Plan your time well. Look at the map to see where to go. We will definitely be here all day, and if we include the casino, it will probably be all night as well.**

"Don't save money for when you're too weak to use it, and don't just save money to take care of yourself."

The next must-see attraction is the "Supertree" at Gardens by the Bay. After leaving Universal Studios, resist the urge to eat and head straight to Bayfront Station. Make sure to arrive before 7:30 PM to catch the spectacular light show. This is another highlight of your trip.

Translation:

The atmosphere during the day is unknown, but it is known that at night it "falls in love." However, there is one regret: there is a bridge connecting these trees, but the group hesitated about whether to pay for it. In the end, the ticket booth closed.

It is highly recommended to climb to the top, as watching the performance from above will make you feel like a great conductor (seriously!). The ticket price should be around 5 SGD, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

People are practicing fire-twirling performances, similar to the heavy-duty fire-twirling taught by instructors. It seems like a very interesting experience.

"While prioritizing our own desires is important, it's equally crucial to consider the perspectives and needs of those around us."

Our bodies were begging for rest, but our legs and stomachs were still up for the challenge. We decided to indulge in the biggest meal we could afford at Chinatown.

This area is specifically for food. Walk out of your accommodation on the left side, turn right at the first alley, and walk straight ahead, crossing a small alley. When you reach the next alley, turn left and you will find the communal kitchen where food is collected for this area. Food stalls line both sides of the street. You can sit at any table, but make sure to check the front of each restaurant to see if they have reserved seats for their customers.

A tantalizing description of the menu items.

Fish ball noodle soup 4.5 SGD

Eating here is almost like being a caveman. Why? I want to hunt fish and eat them myself.

[Must try] Bak kut teh, or Chinese herbal braised pork ribs, for 7 SGD.

The clear pork bone broth, infused with the essence of Chinese herbs, releases an aroma that evokes the inner strength of a martial arts master.

Must-try: Chicken or pork satay. Pork satay is 0.8 SGD per skewer, while chicken satay is 0.7 SGD per skewer.

Translation:

The dipping sauce was so flavorful, it practically jumped and tickled your taste buds. It was incredibly fragrant, with a rich, meticulously prepared coconut milk base and a plethora of mixed ingredients. The vendor was incredibly friendly, never failing to greet customers with a smile and open conversation.

Roasted duck with rice 4.5 SGD

Translation:

"Roasted duck with rice is a good option for those who are struggling to come up with a menu idea. The taste is not too different from what we have back home, but the price is definitely different. 😭"

"For dreams must not be mere fantasies."

The body still needs rest, but the two sides still do not stop. The last stop for tonight, nightlife happiness "Clark Quay" This place is for meeting and socializing at night. No matter what nationality, if you don't go out during the day, come here at night. Plenty! Ekamai Thonglor, this is good.

Translation:

Directions: From the front of the accommodation, turn left (towards Seawheel) and continue straight ahead. Keep an eye on the left side, but don't rush, it's a long way! You'll know it when you see it. Go for it!

And tonight, I am very satisfied with the last one at Clark Quay. From being tired, I immediately want to open my mind further. But I have no money, so I have to walk back to my accommodation quietly.

Highly recommended for groups! You must try it at least once, or you'll regret it.

"There is no place more joyful than being in the place you want to be."

Day 2 - End

Day 3

Translation:

This sentence is already in English and does not require translation.

3 "People often think that our lives are predetermined, but this is not the case."

Despite the limited time remaining, we have no intention of returning.

For breakfast, when we didn't know what to eat, we had one last thing to try: "Kaya Toast," a bread filled with butter and condensed milk. The taste is sweet and creamy, served with coffee and boiled eggs as a set.

The place we chose to eat was the People's Park Center building, the same building as the Sea Wheel restaurant, but on the 2nd or 1st floor (the restaurant opens at 9:00 AM). If you only order bread, it costs 2.4 SGD as a set. I forgot the price, sorry GG.

After a leisurely wake-up and breakfast, there are still 3 destinations to explore. Let's go!

1. Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, also known as Wat Phra That Khao Kaeo

Translation: The journey: Head towards Maxwell Food Centre, which is located opposite and before Maxwell. It is a place where people flock to throughout the day. People come to worship, even early in the morning.

Translation:

Photographed from outside the temple.

Within the temple grounds

Located near Maxwell, there's another must-try spot: "sugarcane juice." The shop keeps whole sugarcane stalks right in front, ready to be juiced.

2. Sri Mariamman Temple (Singapore)

This place is highly valued by the Indian community and features unique decorations that are unlike anything I have seen before (I have never been to a Hindu temple). I do not have any pictures of the inside of the temple, as photography is prohibited. However, it is possible to take pictures if you are willing to "pay." Although it is technically possible to take pictures without permission, I believe it is important to respect the rules (even though I personally do not want to follow them).

And finally, Haji Lane, another highlight for those who want to capture some chic photos.

Directions:

Alight at Bugis Station. Haji Lane is a small alleyway. (I don't remember the exact walking directions, as I gave the map to someone else.) Exit via Gate B and look to your right. You will see a small alleyway.

Don't miss this iconic street lined with vibrant street art. Let's explore this bustling avenue together!

They want to take a picture with you.

This round, the team is incomplete. Only two people showed up.

"Time's up! It's time to go home," they exclaimed as they strolled along, lost in their thoughts.

Translation:

An exhaustive collection is likely unattainable.

"Traveling always brings us joy."

"Perhaps the most important thing is not the destination, but the journey itself, which allows us to encounter new experiences all around us. All it takes is the courage to step outside."

Translation:
