Let's Go on a Trip!!!

This is a phrase you might hear often from your good friends. But gathering everyone for a trip can be difficult, a real struggle.

I believe almost everyone has experienced this. Sometimes the whole group can make it, sometimes not. But hey, whatever happens, happens.

And this trip was no different…

It was a time when we had just finished our art thesis and graduated.

With the semester over, everyone went their separate ways, some looking for jobs, some returning home.

We didn't see each other as often as before, so it was natural to miss each other.

We were close friends, playing together every day, going through all sorts of obstacles together.

So when we were apart, it felt a little lonely, a little sad.

So when we had some free time, we planned a little trip together.

Somewhere not too far from Bangkok.

After talking and consulting, it was time to pack our bags!! ^^

Originally, there were 11 of us going, but on the day of the trip, there were only 6 left. 5555555555

Damn, I was trying to be sentimental… and then I got ditched by my friends!! TT

But we still went. 6 is enough… Let's go!!!

We boarded the first bus to Phetchabun at 8:15 AM from Mo Chit.

This trip was completely unplanned in terms of expenses. We just wanted to visit a friend and let them decide where to go. We brought only the money we had on hand. Not exactly a good idea, so don't follow our example! 😜

We arrived at the bus terminal in the late afternoon. The first thing we needed to do was find food for the night. We planned to cook a small dinner together as a party.

We hired two cars to go to Lotus. The driver charged 120 baht per car, but we gave him 150 baht each because it was quite a distance.

With everything we needed in hand, we were ready to head up the mountain.

The resort we were staying at belonged to a friend of a friend, so we were fortunate enough to receive assistance from their mother.

She graciously picked us up and drove us up the mountain to the resort. We are incredibly grateful for her kindness.

The car was absolutely packed! 55555

We have arrived!

As soon as we got off the bus, we rushed to take photos.

The lighting is perfect.

As fresh graduates, we don't have a lot of budget for traveling.

So, we decided to camp in tents, which cost 300 baht per tent.

Splitting the cost among six people, it's super affordable!! Hehe.

We quickly set up the tents before sunset.

After setting up the tents, we continued to jump and dance at the viewpoint.

We took pictures together, teased each other, and ran around like we were 14 again. 5555

The sun has set.

We don't really like loud noises when we go on trips in the forest or mountains.

So... to keep our party from being too quiet!!

Each of us bought a gift to draw lots tonight.

It's a very cute activity 555555

On the other hand, it's also a gift for friends we haven't seen in a long time. ^^

Once everything is ready, we'll start cooking.

The delicious roasted sweet potatoes everyone has been waiting for!

With winter approaching, if you have the chance to go on a trip and want to make roasted sweet potatoes for your travel companions, the method is incredibly simple. The ingredients are just salt, unsalted butter, and pepper.

Cut the sweet potato into three wedges, leaving a small section uncut to keep it whole. Stuff the inside with a moderate amount of butter, and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Wrap in foil and place on the stovetop, using low heat.

If you don't have a grill, you can roast the sweet potatoes directly in a fire. However, in this case, season them afterwards to avoid mess.

The next menu is black pepper pork ribs and grilled pork neck.

For this menu, marinate the pork according to your favorite recipe.

Make the dipping sauce and seafood sauce and wait.

We also have grilled octopus and smoked sausage.

No need to eat rice this meal, the appetizers are plentiful!! ^^

After a delicious meal, we started our gift exchange activity.

The atmosphere was filled with laughter and excitement as we drew names and wondered what treasures awaited us inside our gifts.

Following the rules, we all unwrapped our presents simultaneously, revealing a variety of thoughtful and unique gifts.

Everyone seemed pleased with their gifts, and we expressed our gratitude to each other for making the event so enjoyable.

And our drink for tonight...

It's Silver Hawk. It's quite strong, but it's delicious.

Try finding the recipe and making it yourself. It's very affordable.

After that, we talked about many things, reminiscing about the past and present.

We even gossiped about friends who ditched us. 5555 I'm still holding a grudge.

After chatting for a while, my friend got hungry again. 5555

Talking too much makes me hungry often.

So I went to prepare the menu that my friend requested, bacon fried with butter in the cold weather.

The method is simple as usual.

The ingredients are bacon, unsalted butter, chopped garlic, pepper, and your favorite vegetables.

Fry the garlic with butter first (we use very little garlic).

Add the bacon and stir-fry until fragrant, then add the broccoli and carrots first.

Followed by corn and snow peas, and finally add the golden needle mushroom.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper and it's done. ^^

As the night fell, the air grew cooler. We built a small charcoal fire in the stove.

We sat around the fire, still enjoying food. 5555555

We drank beer from the same bucket, roasted marshmallows over the fire, and shared stories with our close friends.

What could be more joyful than this? ^^

Another day passed by so quickly.

It's true what they say, happy times always seem to fly by.

Sweet dreams, friends. zzZZ

I'm awake!

I woke up with a hangover. TT

I opened the tent and went to the bathroom. The dew is very heavy.

I woke up with a heavy head this morning. It seems like the baby elephant had a fight with the silver falcon last night. 5555

I'm going to take a few photos and then go back to sleep. zzZZ

I'm finally awake, lol.

I dragged my heavy body out to eat breakfast.

The resort provides breakfast for us, pork congee to cure the hangover. You can help yourself as much as you want.

After a satisfying meal, we took a leisurely stroll around the resort's lush greenery.

Despite its modest size, the resort boasts a remarkably tranquil ambiance.

Our leader, a local child.

There are many guava trees.

This might be a flame vine, but I'm not sure.

Miniature pineapple

Purple cow face

Walking down, there are rice fields full of rice. It's yellow rice husk.

It's almost ten o'clock after the walk.

Let's get ready to go home, friends.

This trip was so short, but I'm glad everyone took the time to come.

I'm sure it will be more fun if we all come together next time.

Today, the resort owner's mother could only drop us off at the intersection where the shared taxis pass.

Since the mother had an urgent matter to attend to, we had to continue our journey by ourselves.

We were okay with it, as there were shared taxis available to take us to the pier. Now, we could relax and enjoy the ride.

But when we actually arrived...

Which way should we go? There's no ATM to withdraw money.

Yesterday we almost bought out the entire Lotus, now we have less than a hundred baht left. 5555

How much does a songthaew cost? Which intersection should we call it from? And which way should we face? 55555

Following the locals' advice, we couldn't find the shared taxi they mentioned.

Instead, we only saw expensive private taxis on the side of the road. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough money at that time.

Crossing paths with a soldier, we couldn't resist asking for help.

The soldier informed us that there was a shared taxi, but it came infrequently.

The previous one had just left moments before our arrival. Oh no! TT

Alternatively, we could hire a car, but it would be expensive to go down the hill.

After hearing this, we decided to try our luck with hitchhiking.

Waving my hand for a ride, but no one stopped. 5555555

Whyyyyyyy Whyyyyyyy TT

I guess there are too many of us.

The kind soldier we met earlier must have seen our efforts. He must have felt sorry for us and came to help us wave down a car. The first car he waved down stopped immediately! Wow! If we had known, we would have asked him for help a long time ago.

The kind-hearted Ford Ranger driver stopped to pick us up. We're finally going home! Yay!

Thank you again to the kind-hearted adult. ^^

The trip is over.

We had a great time catching up with friends.

For those who want a relaxing getaway without too much adventure,

this is the perfect place to stay. You can cook, drink, and socialize (without disturbing other guests).

After watching this review, don't hesitate. Don't make excuses.

Find time to relax. It will make your life happier.

Some people are so focused on their partners that they forget about their friends.

Remember, when you're feeling down, heartbroken, lonely, or facing any problem,

your friends will be there to support you, comfort you, and be by your side.

Some people go through many partners,

but the one thing that never changes is their friends. They'll still be there to listen and offer words of encouragement.

"It's okay, you'll find someone better."

It may not make the sadness go away, but it reminds you that you're not alone.

:)
