Hello.
Greetings for the second time. We are still circling around Centara hotels, and this time we will not be far from Bangkok. It is conveniently accessible via the motorway. In just over an hour, we will arrive in "Pattaya".
Among the diverse accommodation options offered by Centara in Pattaya, one particular property stands out. At the time of our visit, this newly opened establishment had been operational for just over a year and was still undergoing some finishing touches. While a portion of the rooms remained under interior decoration, these works were confined to a separate building, ensuring minimal disruption to guests. (Additional information: The first building comprises approximately 185 rooms and is fully operational, while the second building, with around 50 rooms, is still undergoing interior decoration.)
Centara Grand Phratamnak Resort Pattaya
The location is on Phra Tamnak Road (at the foot of Phra Tamnak Hill), not far from the "Pattaya Bay" viewpoint. Although the location may not be close to the city center and nightlife, it is only a 10-minute drive to the city, making it ideal for those seeking a peaceful getaway away from the hustle and bustle.

The highlight of this accommodation is the lobby, which is decorated in an ocean theme, creating the feeling of being under the sea. This is achieved through...
- Ceiling-mounted jellyfish-shaped decorative lamps
- Seaweed sculptures
- Corals adorning the lobby walls
- And most notably, a large aquarium with a variety of beautiful fish, including sharks

This accommodation may not offer a dedicated Kid's Club.
However, it is believed that children will enjoy the aquarium in the lobby as a substitute.
Personal Impressions: A Warm Welcome from the Start
My personal impression of this place began the moment I parked my car. As I stepped out, a bellboy greeted me, welcoming me and asking if I was here to check in. They even met me at the underground parking lot (usually, you have to drag your luggage to the lobby before a staff member takes over).

*Deluxe Room*
This booking includes a Deluxe Room.
While the room may not be particularly spacious, it is meticulously designed with an emphasis on order, luxury, and modernity. For example, ...
- The remote control is neatly stored in a leather box.
- The wiring system is hidden within the desk.
- The television is embedded in the wall, not placed or hung on the wall.
- The floor is believed to be marble, as it is very cold, but fortunately, there are slippers provided in the room.
- Dressing table and work desk corner.
++ Attention to detail in decoration ++
++ An ordinary beach bag, but tying a bow makes it look much more stylish. ++
The room amenities are complete. Notably, there is a Nespresso Club capsule coffee machine, but there is an additional charge of 40 baht per capsule. However, there is a wide variety of coffee flavors to choose from according to your needs.
The most impressive feature is the state-of-the-art Master Control system. This touch screen device allows guests to control all electrical systems in the room, including lights, air conditioning, alarm clocks, do not disturb buttons, and make-up room requests.

Actual Room Photos
Let's take a look at the bathroom. Between the bedroom and the bathroom is a transparent glass wall. However, there is an electric blind that can be opened or closed. The blind is located between the two panes of glass, allowing for privacy on both sides. I was truly impressed by the attention to detail in this design.
The bathroom features both a bathtub and a shower room, separating the wet and dry areas.
In addition, free Wi-Fi internet is available with excellent signal strength. A single password can be shared among up to 10 devices. Interestingly, it appears that each room has its own dedicated router, as room numbers were displayed during the connection process. This suggests a robust and reliable Wi-Fi infrastructure within the accommodation.
As the staff suggested, we went up to the rooftop on the 9th floor to enjoy the beautiful view.
*Ruffino Restaurant & Lounge*
Lounge: 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Poolside: 6:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Restaurant: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Italian restaurant with an open-air area by the pool, serving various drinks.
The decoration still follows the Ocean Theme concept with a jellyfish tank... At night, the lights are turned on, making it very beautiful.
++ Poolside lounge area ++
The swimming pool offers panoramic ocean views, with "Koh Larn" visible on the right-hand side. The elongated pool features a small, semi-circular Jacuzzi-style section, providing clear views of the Pattaya Park Tower. Additionally, a fitness center (gym) is conveniently located adjacent to the pool area.

Let's explore the beach together...
Although this location is not directly on the beach, it is within walking distance.
*Breeze*
Open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
A separate outlet from the accommodation building, resembling a beach club, offering food and beverage services. Guests can drop by for snacks and refreshing drinks to cool off by the beach or relax in the air-conditioned room. To access the beach, simply walk through Breeze and the sea will be in sight.
++ Beach Access Path ++
For the beach here, if you want to use a beach bed, you can contact the front desk to get a coupon. ... In my opinion, the beach here is beautiful and quiet, not as crowded as other beaches in Pattaya that we have encountered.
*Oceana Restaurant*
Service hours: 6:30 AM - 10:30 AM / 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM / 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM.
All meals are served, with an emphasis on Thai and seafood cuisine. Breakfast is served buffet-style for in-house guests (dinner buffet is available on select days only, please inquire with the restaurant).
I must say that breakfast was a delightful experience, as I was seated next to the fish tank, with the grand piano in the lobby playing beautiful music.
Breakfast at the Hotel
The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, including some unique items not typically found at other hotels. These included steamed eggs (a simple but surprisingly rare find, as most hotels offer fried, omelets, poached, or eggs benedict) and veal sausage (usually pork or chicken are the norm). During my two-night stay, the breakfast menu changed slightly each day, ensuring a diverse and interesting selection.
++ Buffet Line ++
The honeycomb pictured here is from the third buffet breakfast in Thailand where we have seen honeycomb. It is a personal favorite, and I enjoy it drizzled on bread, waffles, or in hot tea. It is both fragrant and delicious.
Espresso
Open from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
In addition to main courses, if you are looking for a light snack or a drink, there is also a bakery and beverage service area next to the lobby.

*Birthday Surprise!*
In conclusion, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Centara Grand Phratamnak Resort Pattaya for the thoughtful surprise they arranged for my husband's birthday. During our check-in process, the staff discreetly whispered to my husband, coordinating a time to deliver a birthday cake to our room. This unexpected gesture truly made our stay memorable.
A single slice of cake, making this vacation even more meaningful and creating a special memory.
Thank you Centara once again for making our special day even more memorable.
