Holiday Inn Pattaya Family Fun

Following our recent visit to the newly opened RamaYana WaterPark, our family continued our vacation in Pattaya. This time, our stay was sponsored by Holiday Inn Pattaya in collaboration with the "พักสบาย" page, as part of their "หา-นักรีวิว-หน้าใหม่" activity, where we were selected as one of six reviewers.

While you may have already seen reviews from other participants, each reviewer received a different challenge and room type. For our family, the focus was on "family," as we were traveling with our energetic (and occasionally stubborn) 5-year-old son. Therefore, the activities provided by the hotel were specifically tailored for young children.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Holiday Inn Pattaya for this wonderful pre-school trip for our son. He had a blast and enjoyed himself so much that he came home with a healthy tan from all the swimming.

Holiday Inn Pattaya:

  • Website: http://www.holidayinn-pattaya.com
  • Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/HolidayInnPTY

The Holiday Inn Pattaya is located in North Pattaya, just a short drive from Dolphin Roundabout on Beach Road. The hotel entrance is on the left-hand side. The hotel has two buildings: * **Bay Tower:** This beachfront building is the older of the two, having been open for approximately seven years. It features a family and leisure concept with an earth-tone color scheme. * **Executive Tower:** This newer building is located at the back of the property and has been open for approximately two years. It boasts a modern design with vibrant colors, reminiscent of an underwater world. **Note:** In the provided image, the Bay Tower is the building closest to the sea, while the Executive Tower is the building in the foreground.

If you are unsure which building your booked room is located in, please do not worry. Simply come to the reception desk.

If you are not staying in the main building, the hotel offers a buggy service to transport you between the two buildings.

Upon arrival, our little guests will receive a special welcome gift. They can choose between a coloring book for younger children and a sticker book for older children.

We let the cubs choose the type of employee they want themselves.

After much deliberation, I ultimately decided to acquire both volumes.

Facilities Overview

Before exploring specific room types and surrounding accommodations, let's summarize the shared facilities available in both buildings. This will facilitate a clear explanation and serve as a guideline for utilizing various amenities.

Superior Ocean View Room (Standard Room)

Bay Tower

The first room we visited was the "Superior Ocean View," which is similar to the Ocean View Room in terms of size (33 sqm). However, the Superior Ocean View Room is located on a higher floor and offers a better view of Pattaya Beach without any obstructions from other buildings.

Personally, I love the bathroom in this type of room.

The large glass windows offer a hint of sensuality, allowing you to watch TV while showering.

.
* EXECUTIVE CLUB CORNER VIEW *
Executive Tower
The second room we visited features a large desk in the center of the room.
Rooms with the word "Executive" in their name come with access to the Executive Club on the 25th floor,
which I will discuss later.

.

Executive Club Ocean View

Executive Tower

The third room visited, the Executive Club Ocean View, is similar to the Deluxe Room. However, it offers exclusive access to the Executive Club. This room type does not have a bathtub.

The Special Feature of the Rooms Here: Every room has a balcony and offers a view of Pattaya Beach.

The Bay Tower offers stunning views, especially during sunset, as it provides an unobstructed view of the beach and the setting sun.

Family Suite: A Bay Tower Oasis

This trip, we opted for a "FAMILY SUITE" in the Bay Tower to cater to our little ones.

The master bedroom, "King Pattaya Bay View," boasts a corner location with expansive panoramic views of South Pattaya Beach. Large windows bathe the room in natural light, creating a romantic ambiance. Sheer curtains add a touch of elegance and diffuse the sunlight.

The spacious bathroom features a well-defined wet and dry area.
The shower room includes both a regular showerhead and a rain shower.

Please note that the bathroom does not have a bidet spray. (The new building will have bidet sprays.)

A bathtub nestled against a large glass window

Offering panoramic views of North Pattaya and stunning sunsets.

The bedroom features a small work desk with a hot water kettle and tea and coffee supplies.

The minibar in the refrigerator is not stocked with anything special.

Conveniently located in the lobby, Flow Café offers a wide selection of items to satisfy your needs and desires.

The wardrobe is fully equipped with a steam iron and ironing board, bathrobe, safe, hairdryer, laundry bag, emergency flashlight, and more.

The beds feature two types of pillows, firm and soft, in accordance with the Holiday Inn standard. Guests can choose their preferred option. Having stayed at other branches, both domestically and internationally, I can attest that the pillows are a unique feature of the Holiday Inn chain.

A small balcony with a breathtaking view.

The corner room offers unobstructed views of Pattaya Beach, from North to South.

The sky is clear and the air is fresh during the day, offering a view of Ko Lan Island on the opposite side.

Watching the boats sail by and people flying kites is quite enjoyable.

The adjoining room is a children's bedroom.
When the next room is opened as a 2-bedroom, the King Pattaya Bay View room will become a "Family Suite".

The little boy saw the big whale in the room and smiled broadly. ^^

A cute whale-shaped bed with a soft carpeted floor.

A fish-shaped pillow on the bed, towels shaped like elephants and peacocks.

The wall has round red lamps, which the family still can't agree on.

Papa Bear says it's a seashell, Mama Bear says it's a jellyfish.

Baby Bear says it's not a jellyfish because it doesn't have tentacles. Round with a hole, it must be a "lifebuoy".

^^"

Different strokes for different folks, let's just say it's good for the imagination.

The wardrobe and bathroom are similar to the master bedroom.

The bathroom in the children's bedroom offers a view of South Pattaya, providing an additional advantage. Guests staying in this room can enjoy views from both sides.

However, a keen eye for detail was observed.

The children's room does not have an electric kettle. The water cups used are plastic (while the main bedroom uses glass cups). All electrical outlets are covered with plastic caps.

++ Every detail is meticulously considered, even the drinking glasses are unique. ++

++ Left: Electrical outlet in the master bedroom // Right: Electrical outlet in the children's bedroom ++

The power strip is also good.

Upon closer inspection, it becomes evident that this plug differs from the two-pronged variety commonly used in our homes. This particular plug features a universal design, making it compatible with a wide range of electrical outlets. Whether it has two or three prongs, round or flat, this plug can accommodate them all.

Holiday Inn's Thoughtful Touches: A Personal Experience

This passage highlights a memorable aspect of the Holiday Inn experience: its attention to small details that make a big difference. The author shares a personal anecdote about forgetting a universal adapter while traveling abroad and needing to borrow one from the reception. While this may seem like a minor inconvenience, the author emphasizes the importance of having such amenities readily available, especially for international travelers. The passage concludes by praising Holiday Inn for not overlooking these seemingly insignificant details, which ultimately contribute to a more positive and convenient guest experience.

Continuing on to the Family Suite, this room type comes equipped with a PS4 gaming console. Guests can borrow game discs from the front office.

The first child to experience this special service was ลูกหมี.
This is a special gift that Holiday Inn Pattaya will give to every child who stays in the Family Suite.

"Sparkling-eyed" dolphin dolls lie in wait on the bed, ready to greet every little guest and become new friends for children to take home as souvenirs.

Wondering why it has to be a "dolphin".

The answer is because dolphins are a symbol of Pattaya City.
Oh, I thought it was because the accommodation was near the Dolphin Roundabout (just kidding ^^).

The little bear cub has made a new friend and is very excited about it, as is typical for young children. They are cuddling and playing together.

"If I could drag it into the water, I would have taken it to play in the water already."

Bay Tower: A Family-Friendly Oasis with Stunning Ocean Views

Having explored the guest rooms, let's venture into the communal spaces of the Bay Tower, the building gracing the beachfront.

Earthy Elegance and Abundant Amenities:

The Bay Tower boasts a soothing earth-toned aesthetic, offering a sense of tranquility and warmth. It houses a diverse array of facilities, including three swimming pools, catering to various preferences.

Timeless Appeal:

Despite being the older building, having served guests for approximately seven years, the Bay Tower is meticulously maintained, showcasing no signs of wear. Both the communal areas and guest rooms have been diligently kept in pristine condition, a testament to the dedication of the management.

Family-Centric Design:

This building prioritizes families, offering amenities and room configurations tailored to their needs. Additionally, the Bay Tower enjoys a distinct advantage: unobstructed ocean views, surpassing those of the rear buildings.

.

Flow Café - Lobby Level

Hours: 6:00 AM - 11:00 PM

Happy Hour: 50% off from 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Due to the lack of a mini bar service within the guest rooms,
amenities are provided in the lobby before going up to the rooms.

This establishment offers a variety of snacks (such as sandwiches, bread, salads), bakery items, beverages, etc. It also provides free computer and internet access in close proximity.

Additionally, there is a 50% discount period, which is very worthwhile.

Don't miss out on this great deal! This moist brownie is only 51 baht.

Terrazzo Ristorante & Bar

Location: Ground Floor, facing the street

Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 2 PM - 11 PM
  • Friday - Saturday & Holidays: 12 PM - 12 AM
  • Sunday: 12 PM - 11 PM

Description:

This open-air Italian restaurant is located on the ground floor, facing the beachfront road. It features an open kitchen, allowing guests to watch the chefs prepare their meals.

Lunch and dinner service.

The promotion period for Pizza Happy Time is from 15:00 to 17:00.

We had dinner here on the first day.
And of course, we couldn't miss the "pizza", the signature menu here.
The shape and appearance seem to be different from what we have eaten before because it comes in an oval shape.

The selected pizza faces are the recommended menu.

This is the first time I've tried a pizza with "mango and duck meat" as ingredients.
This menu (half) is called "Ugly Duckling".
The other half is bacon and ham... to please my little bear cub.

The second dish, the "Havana Platter Uno," is a grand and impressive platter.
It features a variety of Thai appetizers, including marinated grilled pork skewers (หมูสะเต๊ะ), sun-dried beef (เนื้อแดดเดียว), deep-fried shrimp cakes (ทอดมันกุ้ง), deep-fried minced pork salad (ลาบหมูทอด), and spring rolls (ปอเปี๊ยะ).

>> Havana Bar – Ground Floor <<
Monday – Thursday: 2 PM – 12 AM
Friday – Saturday and Public Holidays: 12 PM – 1 AM
Sunday: 12 PM – 12 AM

Dinner on the 2nd with a Cuban-style decorated room

The restaurant offers light meals, with some menu items shared with Terrazzo.

Renowned for its bar scene, this establishment offers a selection of delectable beverages. Among them, we sampled the "Healthy & Beauty," a refreshing concoction of mixed berries blended with low-fat yogurt.

For the first course, a light snack.

"Avocado Tomato & Cream Cheese Bruschetta"
I usually don't like to eat tomatoes (except for tomato sauce, which I can eat normally).
But this dish is a must-try, it's delicious.
v

"Pork and Chorizo Selections"

Chorizo is a type of sausage popular as a tapa, or appetizer.

"Santiago Street BBQ Pork Ribs"

Tender and flavorful marinated pork ribs, easily sliced and infused with the marinade's essence.
Dad loves this dish!

Meeting Center & Business Center – 2nd Floor

This section features a meeting room resembling a typical ballroom.

Café G – 4th Floor

Breakfast and lunch service:

  • Breakfast buffet: 5:30 AM – 10:30 AM
  • A la carte: 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM

I was initially surprised that the service started so early in the morning.

To my surprise, when I went downstairs at 5:30 am to capture the scene of the dining room just opening, it was already packed with people!

After speaking with the staff, some guests had to continue working at nearby industrial estates. Therefore, they came to eat early in the morning.

Breakfast for both days of your stay.

The bear family is having breakfast here because they are staying in this building.
I like that they have prepared paper and crayons for the little guests.
Our little rascal can therefore concentrate a little longer and sit still for a while longer. He's having fun.

However, some families choose to dine by the pool, which is adjacent to the dining room.

Tables were also set up outside for guests. Some children played in the water early in the morning, while their parents sat nearby, eating and watching over them.

The food court is divided into a vegetarian corner and an Asian corner.

The buffet includes a salad bar, an egg station, and a noodle station.

The variety of food caters to many nationalities, including Asian (Thai - noodles, Chinese - dim sum, Korean - kimchi) and Western (cheese and bread).

The fruit juice selection is quite diverse.

During the two-day stay, the menu was changed to avoid repetition. Personally, I enjoyed the bread corner, which offered a wide variety of options.

Kids' Club - 4th Floor

Open: Sunday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Friday - Saturday: 08:00 - 20:00

This building is larger than the Executive Tower and primarily caters to young children between the ages of 4 and 6. It features a ball pit, activity tables, and a daily schedule of activities such as clay molding, coloring, and cupcake decorating.

In the case of young children under the age of 4 who are not under the constant supervision of a parent or guardian.

Childcare services are available for an additional fee.

The staff at the Kid's Club are lovely. They remembered my child's name and greeted them warmly upon our return. The security system is excellent, requiring a switch to be pressed from inside to open the door.

On the second day of their stay, the children participated in a "cupcake decorating" activity with their friends.
The children had a lot of fun and got to try their own handiwork.

.

Kid's Pool - 4th Floor

This children's pool offers both indoor and outdoor areas, decorated with colorful cartoon fish tiles. The indoor section is particularly shallow, making it ideal for younger children.

The playground features a small slide for children to enjoy.

The water fountains provide more fun, and the attention to detail is evident once again in the low-level shower heads next to the pool, designed specifically for children.

All swimming pools are saltwater pools.
This is because saltwater is better for skin health and some young children may be allergic to chlorine.

Main Pool - 4th Floor

Open: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

The main pool of the Bay Tower building may not be very large, but it offers one of the best spots to soak in the water and enjoy the sunset. The Splash Bar also provides refreshing drinks to cool down.

.

Tea Tree Spa – 5th Floor

This spa focuses on using organic products.

Personally, I haven't had the opportunity to try their services. However, I did visit the spa and inquire about their offerings.

The spa's signature treatments include two options.
The first is the "Himalayan Hot Stone Massage," which uses carved river stones from Tibet.
These stones are cooler than volcanic stones and do not generate as much heat.
The carved stones are believed to provide energy and draw out negativity.

The second is "Sparkling Wine Foot Massage", which will be offered at the Pavilion, an open-air area. Enjoy a foot massage while sipping sparkling wine and taking in the sea breeze. I haven't personally experienced this, but I've heard it's amazing. T^T

Enjoy a massage with a drink to stimulate blood circulation.
However, if you prefer not to drink, you are welcome to take it back to your room.

. >> Fitness & Sauna – 5th Floor <<
The fitness center in this building is larger than the one in the Executive Tower.

The facility also offers a sauna.

The fitness center is open 24 hours a day and does not have any trainers on staff to provide assistance or services.
Additionally, the fitness center is not open to the public and is only available to hotel guests.
The atmosphere is relatively quiet and peaceful, making it a great place to relax and unwind.

This concludes the overview of Bay Tower's facilities.

Let's move on to the Executive Tower, or the new building, to see the differences.

**EXECUTIVE TOWER**
Featuring a modern design and vibrant colors, the Executive Tower evokes the feeling of being in an underwater world. This building is primarily dedicated to members and business professionals. Access to floors within the tower requires a key card, with the exception of floors designated for communal use, such as the restaurant and swimming pool.

Flow Express - Lobby Level

Open: 06:00 - 20:00

The format will be similar to Bay Tower's Flow Café, but smaller in size and focused on grab-and-go service.

. >> Meeting Room - 4th Floor <<

The well-organized conference space caters to a variety of needs and stands out with its unique industrial theme.
Pattaya is surrounded by industrial estates such as Laem Chabang and Rayong, which inspired the venue's design.

The details are meticulously considered and captured.

For instance, the corrugated walls of shipping containers, the rubber tire tread pattern, the toolbox-like equipment boxes, and the gear-shaped wall decorations.

Every corner tells a story and has its own origin.
The space is also designed to accommodate various functions,
including workshops, auditoriums, coffee break areas, and food preparation facilities.

I personally enjoy design and storytelling. It's another fun angle for taking pictures with beautiful spots to capture.

East Coast Kitchen - 6th Floor

Open: 5:30 AM - 10:00 PM

Executive Tower guests enjoy a complimentary breakfast buffet.

I had the opportunity to have lunch here.
The highlight of this restaurant (and Café G in the Bay Tower building) is the "Kids Stay & Eat Free" campaign.

- Kids Stay & Eat Free -
This offer is not limited to this branch, but is available to young guests at all Holiday Inn locations worldwide.

The details are as follows: When a parent orders 1 a la carte menu item,

Children aged 12 and under who stay and dine with their parents will receive one free meal set! Holiday Inn allows up to two children per family.

The children's menu consists of 1 main course + 1 drink + 1 dessert, which can be selected from the Kid's Menu. The children's menu is not ordinary either, as it has been specially designed by nutritionists. As you can see from the picture, it looks like a regular burger, doesn't it?
v

What sets this dish apart is its unique filling, which is made with finely ground vegetables.

The dish is seasoned to perfection, ensuring that children are unaware they are consuming vegetables (a sneaky way to trick them!). The chef has meticulously calculated the ideal ratio of vegetables to meat to ensure children receive the necessary nutrients.

The dessert was pineapple ice cream, served in generous scoops.

Let's take a look at the adult menu. We'll have something special, please.

The Culinary Creations of Chef Ian: A Taste of Thai Gastronomy

This menu showcases the culinary expertise of Chef Ian, a renowned figure in Thailand's culinary scene. His signature dishes, meticulously crafted with fresh, local ingredients, offer a tantalizing journey through the vibrant flavors of Thai cuisine.

Highlights of the Menu:

  • Grilled Lemongrass Pork: Succulent pork infused with the aromatic essence of lemongrass, grilled to perfection, delivering a symphony of savory and citrusy notes.
  • Hatyai Fried Chicken: A crispy delight, this dish features tender chicken marinated in a blend of spices, capturing the essence of Southern Thai cuisine.
  • Tiger Prawn Tom Yum: A fiery and fragrant masterpiece, this tom yum soup features succulent tiger prawns swimming in a spicy broth infused with the tangy flavors of lemongrass, galangal, and lime leaves.

Each dish embodies Chef Ian's commitment to culinary excellence, showcasing his ability to elevate traditional Thai flavors to new heights. The menu promises an unforgettable dining experience, immersing guests in the rich tapestry of Thai gastronomy.

Other dishes I tried included a salad of wild herbs and leaves, and chicken satay.

Truly satisfying every meal.

++ The atmosphere at night is also good, giving you a different vibe. ++

. >> Children's Activity Center – 6th Floor <<

Monday - Friday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday - Sunday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

After finishing their meal, the children immediately rushed to the nearby Kid's Club. This area is designed for older children, aged 6-12, and features coin-operated game tables and ping pong.

The 5-year-old bear cub loves to play with toys. It can play with anything and doesn't want to stop.

Swimming Pool - 6th Floor

Open: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

While waiting for my child to play at the Kid's Club, I took a walk around the swimming pool to take some pictures. It is the only swimming pool in this building.

The pool is quite large compared to Bay Tower, but unfortunately, the sunset view from the pool is not very clear.

The view of the sea is partially obstructed by the building in front, but it is still beautiful.

This building does not have a children's pool, only a small fountain.

The water is relatively shallow, making it unsuitable for swimming. However, children can be seen playing in the fountain.

.

Fitness Center – 7th Floor

Open 24 hours

The gym has a balcony where you can go out and enjoy the view.
However, I visited at night, so I couldn't see anything.

Executive Club – 25th Floor

Hours of Operation: 6:00 AM - 11:00 PM

And then we arrived at the top floor… the highlight of the Executive Tower.

The Executive Club offers guests staying in Executive rooms a variety of amenities, including snacks (canapés, sandwiches), pastries, and beverages, as well as private check-in and check-out services.

We were unable to use the club's facilities, as we were not staying in an Executive room. We were only able to take a few photos. (Guests who are not staying in Executive rooms can use the club's facilities for an additional fee.)

Another part of this club is the open-air rooftop area called the Executive Club Terrace.

Guests who are not staying in Executive rooms can only access the lounge between 5:00 PM and 11:00 PM. It serves food and beverages and functions as an additional hotel outlet. However, to access the lounge, guests must contact the reception beforehand as a key card is required to reach this floor.

The rooftop here offers a stunning view, especially during sunset.

I only stopped by briefly as I had a dinner appointment afterwards, so I only have a few photos.

In conclusion, I was personally impressed by the importance Holiday Inn placed on...

and took good care of the 'little guest'.

* Guest rooms meticulously designed with children's safety in mind.
* Adorable gifts to commemorate their fun-filled stay.
* Exclusive Kids Stay & Eat Free program with exceptional menus that go beyond ordinary meals.

Three days and two nights of complete relaxation at this resort. We didn't leave the premises at all.

The kids had a blast playing all day long, whether it was in one of the many swimming pools, or at one of the two Kids' Clubs with their diverse range of activities. (And this is without even mentioning the PS4 in the room - if they had discovered that, there would have been even more activities to keep them occupied!)

Finally, I would like to thank Holiday Inn Pattaya and the "พักสบาย" page for this wonderful opportunity.
And thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit and say hello.
^^
