Hello everyone, today I will review the Ta Khon Dam waterfall, a waterfall located in the deep forest near Bangkok.

... Black-browed Trogon Waterfall is under the supervision of the National Park Protection Unit Khun.10 (Prachantakham), Khao Yai National Park, Prachin Buri Province. The walking distance is approximately 6-8 kilometers (I am not sure of the exact distance) through open forest, streams, and a flat, easy-to-walk path to the waterfall.

This trip was originally cancelled twice this year (for my group) because when we called the officials, they said it was always full and there weren't enough staff. We were so disappointed that we gave up. T^T But before the trip, a senior member of our group who had hiked with us before messaged us on Line and invited us. My eyes lit up! Since I was already planning to go this weekend, I immediately told my group. However, two members had to cancel due to work commitments, leaving two empty seats in the car. So I checked Facebook and messaged everyone who was online. 55 After some persuasion, showing pictures, and sweet-talking, I managed to convince two more people from my faculty to join the trip. 555 This trip is a chance for me to revisit Tad Khan Dam waterfall, as I went last year when the water level was very low and it was quite hot. I'm excited to see how beautiful it is with a lot of water.^^

Many people ask what I do when I frequently venture into the forest, how I survive, what I eat, and why I put myself through such hardship. Today, I'd like to share my experiences with this style of travel, what I've encountered, and hopefully provide some insights and value for fellow backpackers.

I would like to share a review post that I wrote.

After leaving our regular jobs on Friday evening, we began our journey. As you know, Bangkok on Fridays is a traffic nightmare. It took us a long time to get through the traffic. We set our GPS to the Khun Khan National Park Ranger Unit 10 (Prachantakham) or Takhro Waterfall in Prachin Buri Province. Initially, the person who invited us suggested that we sleep at their house first. However, we were concerned that we would arrive too late, so we decided to sleep at the unit instead. This way, we wouldn't have to wake up too early the next day. When we arrived, we almost turned around because the rain was so heavy. It started raining less than 10 km before we reached the unit. Since we were already there, my friend and I went to look at the place where we would be sleeping that night. We found a pavilion with a roof and a concrete floor where we could pitch our tent. We told the girls that we would bring the necessary things to sleep there. After setting up the tent, we talked and drank something for a while before it was time to sleep and gather our strength.

Okay, here is the translation of the provided text:

...Let's cut to the morning then. In the morning, the officers told us that we couldn't go to Tad Hin Long Waterfall today because the water was strong and the car couldn't cross the big rapids. I was still groggy from just waking up, so I told the officer that I was going to Ta Khan Dam, not Tad Hin Long. I had already been woken up, so I woke up around 7:00 am, took a shower, and then gradually woke up my friends. After packing up the tent and our belongings, we took some pictures while waiting for the others to start walking.

At approximately 8:00 AM, a group of people arrived. As I mentioned earlier, the park ranger had informed us that the Tad Hin Long waterfall was closed. This group then joined our group, increasing our total number to 14 participants and 3 park rangers (although only one ranger was actually needed; the head ranger was training a new group of rangers).

Once all members were present, we took a car from the unit to the starting point of the walk, approximately 1 km away.

We have started our journey. The initial section will be through an open forest.

The car got stuck in traffic shortly after we started driving. Let's see what we can find.

Here, we encountered a turtle. The park ranger informed us that it was a "turtle." (At this point, I thought to myself, "Finding a turtle must bring good luck!" Haha.) The ranger then relocated the turtle to a location further away from the path to prevent us from accidentally stepping on it.

We continued our journey, crossing streams and traversing open forests.

This trip has four additional honorary members: our beloved canine companions.

During this period, I enjoyed taking photos because the path wasn't particularly challenging. It was more of a leisurely stroll. There was a variety of plant life and even some unusual animals to observe.

Sometimes it will be thorny. My friend said that it is called the "Tuck your head and bend your arms to fight through the thorns" posture. Oh, there's another name for it, haha.

If the stream is deep, the officer will be there to ensure our safety.

" Father "

They walked for a while and then took a break.

Playing happily with the puppy.

I also want to play with the dog, but the dog ignores me. T^T

After we recovered from our fatigue, we continued our journey, walking at a leisurely pace without rushing.

Around noon, we took a break to eat sticky rice with pork that we had asked our older siblings to buy earlier in the morning.

We shared the food among ourselves. The people who joined us also brought food to share with us. It was crab! Who would have thought that we would have crab to eat while hiking in the forest? We were so happy.

After a satisfying meal and a short rest, we continued our journey. Towards the end, before reaching the waterfall itself, we encountered a bamboo forest. In some sections, fallen bamboo stalks obstructed the path, but the park rangers kindly helped us cut and clear them away.

After walking for a while, the officer asked us to be quiet. Look, we found a bull's footprint.

"Not yet, it's not over yet. I found traces of the big brother, and I was a little worried. I walked quickly and quietly now. Haha."

After a short walk from the bamboo forest, we arrived at our destination. The air was already getting hot, as it was past noon.

My friend is flying high right now. 55

Let's go, no need to say goodbye. Throw your backpack and let's go soak in the water!

The dog also found a shady spot to hide in.

Explanation:

This is a simple HTML code snippet containing a line break (<br />) and a horizontal rule (<hr />). Both elements are commonly used in web design to format and separate content.

  • The line break (<br />) inserts a single line break, creating a space between lines of text.
  • The horizontal rule (<hr />) draws a horizontal line across the page, visually separating different sections of content.

This code snippet does not require any further translation as it is already in its final form.

After soaking in the water to our heart's content, we returned to camp to set up our tents and hammocks.

After setting up camp, we immediately took care of the fresh food to prevent it from spoiling, preparing it for our evening meal.

Cook rice first.

Braised pork with chicken wings and pork bones (I carried so much weight, I have to eat it all! 5555) Simmer the braised pork slowly.

And then it's time to go soak in the water ^^ Let's go for a long time.

"Release"

"Friend"

This is my gang, soaking in the water and having a great time. The water pressure is amazing!

My friend was completely immersed in the atmosphere.

We soaked in the water, sipping on something enjoyable until our bodies were softened. Time passed until the late afternoon, so we got up to change clothes and cook more food.

While the girls were busy preparing more food, I took the opportunity to find a nearby spot for taking photos.

It didn't take long for the sky to turn dark.

After dinner, it was time for bedtime stories. We chatted while soaking our feet in the water, and it was a long and enjoyable evening.

The sky was overcast today, so I couldn't see the stars. The clouds were constantly floating, and I only caught a glimpse of the moon. I borrowed a friend's lens to take a look.

Note : This photo was taken with a SONY QX 30 lens.

As the night deepened, the air grew stifling, prompting us to relocate our gathering closer to the cascading waterfall.

The rain started to fall heavily soon after we sat down, forcing us to take shelter in a tent and hang our hammocks. The rain cooled the air, making for a comfortable sleep.

This morning, I set my alarm clock to wake up at around 5:30 am. I waited until the sky was bright, then I went to wash my face and take pictures at the waterfall again.

The water pressure is stronger and more abundant this morning than yesterday, probably due to the heavy rain last night.

I kept looking for angles to take photos, and when I found a good spot, I woke up my friends and younger siblings to take pictures together.

Some couples take selfies together.

This is another angle that my friend in the trip took. I "stole" it by asking for it, haha.

As I ascended to the area where I soaked yesterday, a light mist greeted me.

After taking some photos, it was time for an important mission: breakfast. We used up any leftover food to avoid wasting provisions.

Fried egg is something that warms the heart. 55

Stir-fried cabbage with egg

Stir-fried fermented pork with fresh chili and egg

Canned fish tom yum

Let's keep working on it together.

This meal is even better than what we had in Bangkok! 5555

After our bellies were full, we went for another dip in the cool, refreshing water. Everyone had their own way of soaking up the joy, making the most of this moment in their own unique way.

Butterflies can also be seen. After playing in the water to our heart's content, it's time to pack up and prepare for our return journey.

After changing clothes and packing up the campsite, it was time to head back.

We continued our journey, alternating between streams and open forests, following the same path we had taken on our way in.

I took pictures of nature as usual.

If we run out of drinking water, we can always refill it along the way. It's cool, refreshing, clean, and safe. I guarantee it.

The water level on the way back will be slightly higher than before, so please be extra careful when walking.

The officers also continued to support us.

We continued walking, taking breaks when we were tired. It wasn't long before we reached the unit. The sky had been overcast the entire way, and just as we arrived, it began to rain heavily. The downpour was refreshing and cooled us down considerably.

...And that concludes my review of our recent forest adventure. The trip taught us so much, from the guidance and advice of experienced seniors to the importance of teamwork, sharing, and living in harmony with nature. We learned that every piece of trash we bring in must be taken out to preserve the forest, a place that always offers us a refreshing and relaxing escape. While my words may not fully convey the experience, I encourage everyone to try a forest adventure if the opportunity arises. You might just discover something wonderful, just like I did. ^^
