"This year, eat or travel, choose one." (The heavenly voice is here, yay!) Big brother Nat asked this question again, huh huh.

This year, there is one new member, Aoi, bringing the total number of Nat's old and new subordinates to six. This calls for a vote! 555

Of course, we, Oil and Paraprika, have chosen to go on a trip. Three votes in favor. Bua and Plaman have chosen to eat.

Ask the lady, the last sound.

"I don't care which one, brother." "Oh, no, you have to choose one. It's not good to play both sides like this. (Otherwise, I won't take you as my sister-in-law, haha)"

In summary, it is a picky eater. Oops.

The score is 3:3. How do we decide? We can't let the boss decide, or he'll be accused of bias.

We had to draw lots to decide, but we (me, Aoy, and Ja Pla) kept hyping each other up about the trip and the food. We even threatened Ja Pla, saying, "If you choose to eat and if my brother takes you to a fancy restaurant, you have to wear a club dress to eat there, you know." Let's go on a trip. It's beautiful and we can go eat something. It'll be fun.

After much persuasion, both of them finally relented. (In reality, they were probably just annoyed by our insistence and decided to give in. Haha!) And so, our wonderful trip began.

We decided to go on a trip in June, but we couldn't decide where to go. We thought about going to Kanchanaburi, but all the accommodation was booked up. In the end, we decided to go to Kaeng Krachan National Park because it was close by and there was water for our dog, Paprika, to play in. Luckily, Aoy found some accommodation and booked it for us. So, we're off to Kaeng Krachan! Hooray!

The destination is Baan Tarn Tip. We opted for the 1250 Baht program, which includes four meals, whitewater rafting, and a hike up Khao Pha Nen Thung (we confirmed with the person paying beforehand if they were comfortable with the cost).

Before the trip, we planned some additional activities, such as grilling shrimp (the resort has a barbecue area) and making papaya salad to eat there.

Before the travel day, everything was arranged. Bua brought the mortar, Plaman prepared the papaya salad ingredients, and the new formula of the elixir was also brought along for a try. Aoy prepared the drinks, and I prepared the fermented pork sausage (easy job 5555).

Today is Friday, tomorrow is Saturday. We are going to go, yay! But there must be something wrong with every trip. This time, someone almost couldn't go again, which is Plaman. Because his uncle passed away. If we let Bel go instead (because she already paid), Bel is busy and can't go. So, Oi called the accommodation to ask if the cost would be reduced if one person didn't go.

The resort explained that they were unable to offer a discount as they outsource all services.

Oh no! (My papaya salad, no!)

The heavens have eyes, just as every barrel of fish has its share of rotten ones. You, Pla Maen, have agreed to go with us and attend the funeral after returning from your trip. Hooray! My papaya salad will not go to waste.

On the day of the trip, Tei picked me up at the company as usual, and we went to Porto Chino to take a photo with the car. We lined up to buy Starbucks 1-for-1. Oh my god, is this free or paid? Why is the line so long and the wait so long?

As it was my birthday, my sister, Kaew, gave me a free drink, and my brother-in-law, Prapika, gave Kaew a free drink. Thank you, my dear sister.

Upon arriving at the accommodation, we stored our luggage and took photos in front of our room, as we had arrived early and lunch was not yet served.

I'm hungry.

The first lunch was delicious. The chef's skills are excellent.

After a satisfying meal, we ascended to our room to allow for digestion. Meanwhile, I took a brief moment to capture the serene ambiance of our surroundings. The tranquility and picturesque scenery were truly remarkable.

After a short break, we embarked on the scheduled whitewater rafting adventure. A vehicle transported us to the headwaters, where we boarded inflatable rafts and embarked on a thrilling descent down the Phet River. As we drifted along the river, I found myself on the verge of dozing off. The experience, while not particularly exhilarating, left me feeling drowsy.

The owner of the boat, Ninn Montra, sat at the front, ensuring a safe and uneventful journey.

Oh, it's you, Boom. I took a quick glance and thought you were a monk.

The children, seemingly tired, were revitalized by jumping into the water and playfully swimming along the current.

While the children continued to play in the water in front of the accommodation, the rest of the group prepared the barbecue grill and started making papaya salad.

The grill is ready, bring on the shrimp!

Pla Man, the fishmonger, has laid out all his equipment, ready to become a full-fledged som tam vendor. He's already drooling, eager to dig in.

(The shopkeeper smirked. Just you wait, you'll be head over heels for me once you taste my secret recipe. Hehehe.)

After a while, when she took out the ingredients and prepared them, she looked disappointed. "I forgot to bring the MSG," she said. "I must have taken it out to check it this morning and forgotten to put it back in the bag. (We went up to the room before Pla. I saw her taking things out and putting them on the table... It was already in the bag, why did you take it out to look at it, huh?)"

Can I skip it? .... No, you can't. Som tam cannot be without MSG. It's not delicious. Everyone is watching and waiting for you to solve the problem for you, Teey. You can go ask the chef for a little bit. They probably won't mind, right?

Hooray! You're safe! Tay is walking over with a cup and some MSG. Looks like the papaya salad is going to be delicious.

As everyone turned to go to Yangon, a voice from the prisoner said, "The fish forgot again." Everyone quickly turned around and asked, "What did you forget?"

"The fish forgot the chili and garlic." The fish remembered that the chili was washed and dried into small pieces. I guess I forgot it at the office. Oh my... It's even worse than before. I can still tolerate it without MSG, but this time it's missing both chili and garlic. I think I want to eat it. 555

Our hearts sank, filled with despair, like the day the lottery was drawn.

"Hey, easy on the lotus flower. It's just a plant, you know? Maybe it made a mistake, maybe it forgot something. Forgive it, don't go hitting it."

The defendant, who forgot the essential ingredients for making papaya salad, asked for a chance to redeem himself by buying chili peppers and garlic from the chef with his own money to atone for his mistake.

Sigh, finally got it. The legendary papaya salad is now born.

The experience was enjoyable, with opportunities for group activities. The shrimp was incredibly fresh, and the dipping sauce was delicious. The papaya salad and the fish sauce with a new recipe were incredibly flavorful. The vendors couldn't keep up with the demand, and the atmosphere was electric.

The mistress, after scolding the servant, came down to pound the ingredients herself (I'm sure she doesn't sit in this position at home, haha).

This trip was truly focused on eating. After enjoying a feast of papaya salad and grilled shrimp, we went up to relax and play.

The shrimp hasn't even been digested yet, it's still stuck in my throat, and it's already time for dinner again. Oh my god, will I be able to eat anything?

But it's all gone now. 555

After dinner, we did some calculations and went to bed. We have to wake up early tomorrow to see the sea of fog at Khao Pha Nen Thung. Good night.

5:00 AM, the wheels are turning to climb Khao Pha Nen Thung. Today is the last day before the mountain closes, which is really lucky for us. If anyone is planning to come, please be aware that the mountain is closed from August 1st to October 31st every year. Please do some research before coming so you won't be disappointed.

It takes 2 hours to hike from the accommodation to the top of the mountain. (It will take longer and be more crowded during peak season.)

The resort owner advised us to dress casually or in pajamas, as it might rain and we would need to keep our clothes for the trip back home. So, we literally got up from our beds and came as we were.

In the car, we sat in the back. Oh my god, it's freezing! I didn't bring a jacket, and everyone's outfits are... well, let's just say they're not exactly warm.

We're here!

Note: The original text is empty, so the translation is also empty.

The fog is very thick, which is beautiful. However, the sea of fog did not appear today. Instead, there is scattered fog all over the area, which is also beautiful. The air is very fresh, and it is also extremely cold. Brrr.

The other tourists were wearing winter clothes, while we were wearing thin pajamas, which made us feel cold. (Except for Praprika, who was ready on her own, lol)

The provided text is empty. There is nothing to translate.

For breakfast, the car that took us prepared lunch boxes and water for us to eat on top (I would have preferred instant noodles and coffee, though, because it was freezing cold).

After descending from Khao Pha Nen Thung, there was still some time left, and there was still 1-2 mortars of papaya salad left, so we had another round so as not to waste it.

After showering and freshening up, the group enjoyed a farewell lunch of Pad Thai and desserts. They then checked out and quickly departed, as many had commitments to attend to.

Upon packing the car, guess what? They found bags of MSG, chili, and garlic in the refrigerator. 5555555 It turns out that the person who packed did not find them, and the person who found them did not pack, so they did not know about each other. Ha ha ha ha.

A short, mini trip with just a backpack is over, but the happiness and fun are still overflowing. Plus, I got to eat the most delicious papaya salad and grilled shrimp in the world.

Many thanks to our generous sponsors: Lukpi Nat, Jek King for the fresh prawns with roe, and Khun Teuy, our driver for the trip. See you next year! Where will we go next? Stay tuned for the next episode.
