The scorching summer heat and the beauty of the sea were truly captivating. As our group, The Gang, reunited with a friend returning from America, we decided to embark on a summer getaway to the nearby island of Koh Sichang, a short distance from Bangkok.

Our journey began in Bangkok, where we set off from various points to meet at the Ko Loi Pier. There, we purchased tickets for a speedboat to Koh Sichang. With a large group, the cost was easily shared, and the 20-minute journey was swift and convenient. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the majestic lighthouse of Koh Sichang. A map of the island highlighted various tourist attractions, and Skylab vehicles (resembling local tuk-tuks) were readily available for transportation. A round-trip tour of the island by Skylab cost 250 baht and could accommodate up to four passengers.

Today's program is a relaxed, unplanned trip. We arrived around noon, so we had to have lunch first. This was a special opportunity for us to dine at Pari Hut, which is normally only accessible to guests. We consider ourselves lucky to have captured some beautiful photos to share, in case you get the chance to stay there in the future. Let me tell you, it's the kind of place that makes you want to stay on a deserted island forever. Enjoy the beautiful views from different angles!

Popular photo spots inspired by the drama "Kan Go"

Tranquil, scenic, and relaxing, this spot defies expectations. A single chair provides a stunning view and a refreshing sensation, despite the blazing sun. The constant breeze creates a delightful atmosphere, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique experience. Come and discover the magic for yourself.

We spent a considerable amount of time enjoying delicious and fresh food, taking numerous photographs. The stunning views and photogenic angles were truly worthwhile.

We then called a skylab car to take us to other attractions, starting with the Phra Chulachomklao Royal Residence, the only palace on an island in Thailand. It takes quite a while to walk around here, as there are two options: a small loop or a large loop. You can either explore on your own or have a young tour guide show you around. We opted for the young tour guide to take us on the small loop, as we had other places to visit.

The ceremony began with a tribute to King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) for auspiciousness and good fortune.

The beautiful frangipani trees adorn almost every corner of this palace.

The tour guide continued to lead the group, providing commentary and guiding them through various points of interest. While the guide provided information, there were also signs posted to indicate the way.

The Vachana Vatan building, commissioned by King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) as a convalescent home for both Thai and foreign nationals, later served as a royal residence.

The Ashtaang Bridge, a white wooden bridge extending into the sea, serves as a landmark on the island of Ko Sichang.

We then called a Skylab car to pick us up for a trip to Khao Khad Viewpoint, a stunning sunset spot on Koh Sichang. However, when we arrived, it wasn't quite dusk yet, and the sun was still blazing. Despite the heat, the view was still breathtaking.

The trip concludes with a visit to the Khao Yai Shrine to make merit and bring good fortune before returning home.

The sight of the approximately 159 steps (if I counted correctly) was enough to make anyone feel exhausted just looking at them.

And so, the time has come to bid farewell to Koh Sichang, the epitome of tranquility experienced in a single day.

This boat transported us throughout our trip to Koh Sichang.

And before concluding our trip, upon reaching Ko Loi, we enjoyed a delicious meal at the "Moom Aroy Sriracha" restaurant. The breathtaking sunset view over the ocean provided the perfect backdrop for capturing some unforgettable memories. The strong bonds of friendship forged during this trip made it truly special. Ko Sichang offered a relaxing and enjoyable escape, proving that even a short trip can be filled with unique experiences and personal fulfillment. So, why not plan your own getaway and discover the joy of exploring new places? Even a single day can be enough to create lasting memories.
