Hello. ><

Today, I took my beautiful younger sister, dressed in a traditional Thai costume, to experience life as a lady at Malika R.E. 124.

(I apologize that I was only able to capture a limited view of the market as I arrived in the late afternoon and many shops were already closed. However, I hope these photos will give you a glimpse of the atmosphere and provide inspiration for your own photography.)

"Mallika R.E. 124," the newest tourist attraction in Kanchanaburi province, takes visitors back in time to the R.E. 124 era (1905 CE), over a century ago.

Stepping into this place feels like stepping back in time to the reign of King Rama V. The meticulous attention to detail in recreating the era is truly immersive. Not only are the buildings and surroundings authentic, but the people of Mallika City also play their part. Their speech, punctuated with "ขอรับ" and "เจ้าค่ะ," and their traditional way of life invite visitors to participate and truly experience the past.

If the female protagonist in the novel "Twin Flower" used a mirror as a medium to travel through time, it would be similar to the large wooden door of the city of Mallika, which serves as a medium for time travel, allowing her to experience life as a lady in the past.

The Bell Tower, the heart of Mallika City.

Exchanging ancient coins is required for shopping at checkpoints within the city.

After entering the city gate, the first building we encounter is this bridge-like pavilion, known as the "Saphan Han."

The origin of the name "Saphan Han" is likely due to the abundance of shops lining the bridge, attracting passersby to "turn their heads" and browse.

The zone reminded me of the Teng area in the novel Four Reigns.

The people here are very kind and friendly. You can ask to try things or take photos without being shy. ^^

Police are guarding the area.

Aromatic and captivating, the fragrance of this perfume shop will leave you wanting more.

After exploring Mallika City, we ascended to the grand residence for a delightful dinner and captivating performance. (Please note that this experience requires a ticket that includes both admission and dinner.)

These performances are for those who purchased the dinner package, and there are a total of 4 sets of performances.
