Chonburi: A Tale of Two Beaches

This year, we visited Chonburi twice, exploring two distinct locations: Koh Kham and Na Kluea. While offering contrasting experiences, both destinations showcased the diverse offerings of this coastal province.

Koh Kham, with its limited opening periods, surprised us with its crystal-clear waters and coral reefs, offering a convenient escape for underwater exploration near Bangkok. We dubbed it "Kham Adventure" due to its challenging yet rewarding hike to a scenic viewpoint.

Na Kluea, often overlooked by tourists, presented a hidden gem in the form of Hat Krating Lai beach. Its pristine sands and calm waters rivaled the beauty of Koh Kham, leaving us pleasantly surprised. We recommend exploring the beachfront on a bicycle for a truly memorable experience.

Note:

  • Koh Kham has specific opening and closing times, so plan your visit accordingly.
  • Na Kluea offers a birdwatching trail, but we opted for a culinary adventure instead.
  • Both locations offer unique experiences, highlighting the diverse attractions of Chonburi.

Ayutthaya

It might seem crazy to visit Ayutthaya during the hot season,

but I swear, there's no better time to go.

The sky is absolutely stunning, and while it might be a bit hot, it's worth it!

..

I recently had the chance to visit Ayutthaya again, and it's changed a lot.

While it used to be all temples, Ayutthaya now has some really cool cafes and chic hotels.

And who knows how much more it will change, so hurry and visit!

..

Noted: The roti sai mai here is the best I've ever had.

(Or maybe it's just me? But I buy it every time, haha!)

Chanthaburi: A Fruitful Escape

Chanthaburi, a province in eastern Thailand, holds a special place in my heart. Every year, I find myself drawn to its lush landscapes and vibrant markets, thanks to my mother's insatiable love for fruit buffets. While the journey may seem perplexing at times, the experience is truly one of a kind.

The highlight of our trip is undoubtedly the unforgettable durian experience. Witnessing my mother's pure joy as she indulges in this "king of fruits" is priceless. It's a testament to the power of fresh, locally-sourced produce and the unique connection it fosters between people and their surroundings.

Beyond the fruit, Chanthaburi offers a wealth of unseen wonders. From hidden waterfalls to ancient temples, the province is a treasure trove for those seeking off-the-beaten-path adventures. Its rich history and cultural heritage are evident in every corner, making it a truly immersive destination.

For those planning a visit, be prepared for an abundance of delicious food. Chanthaburi is renowned for its fresh seafood and delectable fruits, ensuring a culinary experience that will leave you wanting more. Just remember to bring a large container – you'll likely want to take some of the local bounty home with you!

Note: Don't forget to pack a large container for your durian haul!

Bangkok

It's a good idea to visit the city you live in at least once a year.

I just thought of this because I don't want to burn out.

When you can't go far!

..

Just want to say that Bangkok is not just about the nightlife.

Actually, if we were from out of town, we would want to come visit.

Even though the traffic is a bit bad (not a bit, haha).

But it's worth it, with temples, cool museums, tall buildings, cool cafes.

The atmosphere by the Chao Phraya River, the huge public parks.

And most importantly, the street food here is amazing!

August

Kanchanaburi

A province I'd love to explore more.

My only visit was a quick trip to Sangkhlaburi for Mother's Day.

A 3-day weekend getaway with no advance planning required.

This month is ideal, with gentle showers.

..

In my opinion,

Sangkhlaburi is perfect for the rainy season.

(I usually struggle to choose destinations during the rainy season.)

It's like a perfectly balanced equation, with a wonderful atmosphere.

Cycling is a joy, the tranquility is unmatched, and the slow pace is ideal for relaxation.

Most importantly, it's easily accessible by bus, and the budget is incredibly friendly.

..

Noted: Moo Jum Jum Jim, a must-try for anyone visiting Sangkhlaburi. It's delicious!

Review: No review, as I didn't know what a review was back then. 555555

Prachuap Khiri Khan

A popular tourist destination, mainly focused on Hua Hin.

Perhaps because it's easily accessible and not too far from Bangkok.

There are plenty of accommodation options, making it a must-visit destination for many!

..

Last year, I visited both Hua Hin and Pranburi. Were they good?

Well, they were okay. I mean, they were normal. Maybe because I've been there often?

But the most impressive trip was to Klong Vala.

It was like an eye-opener, a completely different experience.

I didn't think Prachuap Khiri Khan would have anything like this, and most importantly, the cost of living there is very cheap!

..

Noted: A 300 baht boat ride around Ao Prachuap Bay will make you never want to return to shore.

Chiang Mai

is another province that I intend to visit every district.

It is a very strange province. Everything is interesting.

That one is good, this one is beautiful, that one is worth going. Just put the word Chiang Mai, everyone will click to see it. 5555

..

The last trip I went to San Pa Tong area only.

I must say that this trip has destroyed the question I have for my friends that

"Why do you go to Chiang Mai every year?" It's all gone.

..

Noted : Oh... I understand now. Next time, invite me too. 5555

November

**Nakhon Ratchasima**

This trip was to Khao Yai, but as you know, Khao Yai covers four provinces.

So, I based it on the attractions and accommodation, which are in Nakhon Ratchasima.

...

I love the atmosphere here. Just driving around Khao Yai is a pleasure.

It would be even better if the weather was cooler.

Another thing I love is the design.

Khao Yai is a truly chic city, with both accommodation and cafes.

Everything is top-notch, from the design to the decor.

It's like a city where all the designers come to show off their skills.

...

**Note: I admire the people who cycle in the national park. Amazing, because I'm already tired just driving... 555**

So

At the end of last year, I don't know why, I decided to go there.

I chose to count down at Chiang Khan.

And I saw that Chiang Khan has changed a lot.

But in the end, I still secretly like this place.

Ps. I summarized my feelings in the review, so I don't know what to say 555555
