This time, we're not going far. We're staying in Bangkok, at China Town, to try some of the local food. Today, we'll be taking you to the Shanghai Mansion Hotel Bangkok for a relaxing stay.
The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Chinatown, just a 15-minute walk from the Hua Lamphong MRT station. On your way, you can visit the Wat Traimit temple and the Odeon Circle, as they are on the way to your accommodation.
The accommodation is conveniently located on a street lined with restaurants and convenience stores, offering immediate access to a variety of dining options.
Evening atmosphere in front of the accommodation
Let's follow me to see the atmosphere inside the hotel.
The hotel entrance is beautifully decorated with a red Chinese-style wooden bridge that leads guests to the hotel lobby. The first floor houses the lobby and bar, where a live band performs in the early evening, providing a relaxing atmosphere with views of Chinatown.
Upon checking in, the staff promptly escorted us to our room. The hallway leading to the rooms featured a central foyer adorned with Chinese-style lamps, adding to the ambiance and aesthetic appeal. At the far end, a pond with fish provided a sense of tranquility, mitigating any feeling of confinement within the hotel.
Upon reaching the room, I was initially taken aback by its unique decor. The room was reminiscent of a traditional Chinese setting, unlike any accommodation I had encountered before. The door, crafted from wood, required a key for entry and featured a locking mechanism on both sides. Additionally, an antique-style latch secured the door with a wooden bar.
Upon entering the room, guests will be greeted by a refrigerator, which was the first purchase made by Wan (complimentary minibar).
Next is the living room with a large sofa, where you can sit or lie down and watch TV comfortably.
Adjacent to the playroom is a bedroom with an adjoining bathroom that is both provocative and alluring, as you will see in the next image. The bed is plush and inviting, and there are plenty of pillows provided.
A large and comfortable bed for a restful sleep.
The room is described as "breathtaking" and "very sexy," making it ideal for couples seeking a romantic getaway in the Yaowarat area. For families or groups of friends, the Family Suite is recommended. The bathroom and bedroom are combined in this room, which features both a bathtub and a standing shower, as well as a separate toilet.
The bathroom features a separate shower and toilet, with a bathtub and sink located outside.
Fully equipped with amenities.

Thung sat playing in front of the elevator on each floor.
List of affiliated hotels
Overall, I would rate the hotel 4 out of 5. The only drawback was the lack of windows in the room, but it didn't feel too cramped. The hotel was beautiful and clean, and the interior was quiet and peaceful, with no noise from the street.
Highlights:
- The hotel boasts beautiful Chinese-style décor and is exceptionally clean.
- The guest rooms offer a peaceful environment, free from the noise of the street, ensuring a restful stay.
- Convenient access to a variety of dining options.
Disadvantage: The room has no windows.
Conclusion: If you're looking to change your sleeping environment or are searching for accommodation near Yaowarat, the Shanghai Mansion Hotel is another interesting option to consider.
This concludes my mini review.
