Visiting the ancient capital and exploring the old palaces, such as "Bang Pa-In Royal Palace," allows one to experience the invaluable beauty of this historic palace. In addition to Bang Pa-In Royal Palace, another significant site is Wat Niwet Thammaprawat, a renowned European-style Thai temple in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. This temple is situated on an island in the middle of the Chao Phraya River, opposite Bang Pa-In Royal Palace. Tourists can take a free cable car across the river to visit the temple. However, donations for electricity maintenance are welcome.

The first time I saw this temple was during a tour of the Bang Pa-In Royal Palace. From afar, it was already beautiful, but I wondered how much more stunning it would be up close. When I finally had the opportunity to visit the site in person, I must admit that it was even more magnificent than I had imagined. The temple's design is Western-inspired, with the ordination hall resembling a Christian church.
