Today, I had the opportunity to visit Lotus (Charansanitwong) with my partner to buy some necessities. After a long time of not being there, I was surprised by the newly renovated section called Decathlon. What is it? Why does it look so interesting? As a sports enthusiast, I had to explore it.
Decathlon is a network of stores and brands for sports enthusiasts. With over 70,000 employees, they share a common goal: "to make the pleasure and benefits of sport accessible to everyone." Therefore, they only offer sports equipment. In my opinion, this is a good thing, as it eliminates the need to visit expensive department stores like Central or The Mall.
The interior is divided into different zones, which is quite interesting. Let's start with the front. The first thing that caught my eye was the tents. There were many different types and prices, and I couldn't help but check them all out.
The side is a bicycle. Don't worry about it, let's go inside and take a look.
Upon entering, you will find a selection of everyday clothing, shoes, bags, hats, and sunglasses. However, the more interesting section is further in, where customers can try out various equipment. This is what I particularly enjoyed.
Here are the skateboards. If you like any of them, feel free to pick one up and try it out. There's plenty of space to ride. If you don't like it, you can always exchange it for another one. If you're new to skateboarding, don't hesitate to ask the staff for help. They're happy to assist you and may even join you for a ride. It's a unique experience.
The next thing we had to do was run away. No, just kidding! Let's head over to the bicycle zone, where you can try out some bikes. Of course, the staff there will keep encouraging you to try them out, which is exactly what they did with us. I really wanted to give it a go, but my girlfriend pulled me back and wouldn't let me. Ugh, so frustrating!
In the center, there is a badminton net set up for playing. Badminton rackets and shuttlecocks are available for use. I arrived when other customers were playing badminton, so I didn't have time to try it myself. I was too busy admiring the bicycles.
We then walked back to the front because she wanted sunglasses. Of course, I paid for them. So I got her 2 pairs + a small backpack for her to carry things on the hike up Phu Kradueng, another one. I bought the one that was on sale. There were so many colors to choose from that she took longer to choose than she did looking at things with me. Ugh!!! I was secretly annoyed. Next time I'll come shopping alone ^^
Two for the price of one.
Followed by another bag, the colors of which she loved very much.
This review is a recommendation for sports enthusiasts who are interested in affordable sports equipment. The store offers a wide variety of products at prices that are lower than those found in department stores. It is worth checking out.
