When it comes to tourist attractions in Uttaradit Province, many people would think of Phu Soi Dao and Lap Lae.

These are two popular and renowned tourist destinations in Uttaradit Province.

If you ask where else is interesting, your friends might be stunned for 10 seconds and then reply... I don't know!!!

**"Na Phat District"** is a name that few people know, and even fewer know what interesting things it has to offer.

Even my friends were stunned when they first heard the name. They couldn't believe it! Where on earth is this place?!

However, after experiencing and exploring the community's way of life, it is truly extraordinary and captivating.

Today, we will take you on a journey to learn more about this place.

Let's go! Follow us... GO...GO...GO

Travel

Our journey began at 6:00 AM from Bangkok, traveling along Highway 1 (Phahonyothin) until reaching Wang Noi District in Ayutthaya Province.

Take Highway 32 through Ang Thong, Sing Buri, Chai Nat, and Nakhon Sawan. Then, turn onto Route 117.

We arrived in Phitsanulok and took Highway 11 to Uttaradit. We reached Uttaradit around 1:00 PM.

Before heading to Nam Pat District, Uttaradit Province, there are tourist attractions along the way for us to visit.

The first place we will take you to is the "Khao Din Channel Khao Khad" dam in Tha Pla district.

**The Channel Ka Khad Earth Dam** is located approximately 4 kilometers from Tha Pla District, Uttaradit Province. **It is part of the Sirikit Dam.**

We arrived here in the afternoon. The sun was shining brightly. There are restaurants near the viewpoint to serve tourists.

This area features a pavilion for relaxation and a food stall. The atmosphere is cool and breezy, providing a comfortable setting for enjoying a meal.

This is another great spot for taking photos, with plenty of beautiful angles to choose from. If you're passing by, be sure to stop by and check it out.

Continue driving to the Sirikit Dam. Along the way, you will pass the "Wang Nam Nan National Park" in Tha Pla district.

Nan National Park

Located in the provinces of Phrae, Nan, and Uttaradit, Nan National Park is characterized by its complex mountainous terrain.

Composed of diverse and pristine forests, serving as the headwaters of the Sirikit Dam reservoir.

This location offers a designated area for tourists to pitch tents and spend the night. The atmosphere is refreshing and highly inviting for an overnight stay.

After that, we headed to the Sirikit Dam to enjoy the sunset.

"Sirikit Dam" is the largest earthen dam in Thailand, located in Tha Pla district.

The Nan River, which flows down from Na Muen District, Nan Province, has a hydroelectric power plant installed.

The area above the dam is a large reservoir and is also an important tourist attraction in Uttaradit Province.

As we drove up to the scenic viewpoint above the dam, we came across a stunning and prominent suspension bridge.

Another beautiful photo spot, couldn't resist stopping for a few snaps. 555

And then we reached the top of the dam ridge just as the sun was setting.

A breathtaking sunset viewpoint offering panoramic vistas of rolling hills, meandering rivers, and the vibrant local life.

We then headed to Nam Pat District, which took about 30 minutes.

It was already dark when we arrived at Nam Pat. Let's put our belongings in our accommodation and go out to find something to eat.

For this trip, we stayed at **Wang Nam Yen Hill** for 450 baht per night, which can accommodate two people.

The room appears clean and tidy, with a large and comfortable bed. It is well-equipped with amenities, including air conditioning, a television, a refrigerator, and a water heater.

Additionally, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the rooms, ensuring you stay connected to social media. I'm done. 555

After checking in and settling into our accommodation, it was time for the moment we had been eagerly anticipating: finding something delicious to eat.

Today, we're going all out with a local dish that has a touch of our neighboring countries' culinary styles.

Spicy and Delicious!

The food was incredibly flavorful and spicy. We were so hungry and enjoyed it so much that we forgot to note down the names of the dishes! :p

After finishing our lunch, we stopped by the Ban Lum Bridge to watch the blacksmiths at work before heading back to our accommodation.

Those who are interested in beautiful swords, I recommend you come here. As for those who like to draw swords, don't come. My brother asked me to tell you. 555+

Hmm, the swords here are really solid! The muscles are so tight... Wait a minute... Really? Haha!

The next morning, we woke up early to go cycling and enjoy the natural atmosphere and way of life of the Nam Pad community.

**Nam Pat District** The village we visited is surrounded by intricate valleys, offering a breathtaking and rarely seen view.

The cool, refreshing air makes for a delightful cycling experience. The area also boasts charming old residential communities, offering a picturesque backdrop for your ride. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere as you explore the surroundings.

Cycling through the old houses with a distant view of the mountains was a relaxing experience. However, we did not cycle the entire time, opting to walk at times due to fatigue.

We stopped by the morning market to grab some food to fuel up before continuing our journey.

After enjoying the morning atmosphere and the way of life in the community, the next tourist spot we will take our friends to is

Khlong Tron National Park

** **

The park is characterized by alternating high and low mountain ranges, with the main mountain range being Khao Phumieang.

Tourists can hike and camp overnight on Phu Mieng.

It takes about 2 days to hike up the mountain. If you are a hardcore hiker, I recommend you to try it.

Only authorized personnel may access the area and must be accompanied by an official guide.

The road to the park is not in very good condition. You must drive carefully and follow the mountain road.

During the winter season, you can enjoy the colorful foliage along both sides of the road. Drive and enjoy the scenery, but be careful.

The park also offers accommodation for tourists, in case they want to stay before hiking up the mountain.

Alternatively, if you don't want to hike, you can still relax and enjoy the fresh air and scenic views of the mountains.

A house costs around 900 baht and has 3 bedrooms. This means each person would only pay between 100-200 baht.

For those who prefer not to prepare their own meals, the park offers catering services.

Many people would like to see the view from Phu Mieng, the highlight of Khlong Tron National Park, right?

To share with my friends, I hiked up the mountain to capture some photos...

Oh, no! The officer sent a picture for you to see.

Just walking and taking photos is tiring enough, where would I find the energy to climb a mountain with them? 555+

The mere sight of this image is enough to make one's heart flutter. Imagine the joy of experiencing it in reality.

A sea of mist and hoarfrost, a truly breathtaking sight.

Finished the mountain hike... Still... Still going to hike another mountain :p

We then traveled back to Nam Pad and stopped for a bite to eat. For this meal, we chose the restaurant "Nam Pad City".

The restaurant boasts a stylish and inviting ambiance, offering both food and beverages.

I would rate the food at this restaurant as excellent. Each dish is exceptional.

It is recommended to try the Tom Yum Noodle with Boiled Egg and the Caesar Salad when visiting this restaurant. The salad dressing is homemade and exceptionally delicious.

Ban Wang Nam Ton, Tha Phaek Subdistrict, Tha Pla District

Whang Nam Ton Village is located above the Sirindhorn Dam. It offers fishing raft services and camping facilities.

Additionally, we can take a boat to watch the sunset over the water. The atmosphere is fantastic, making it an ideal location for camping.

For further information, please contact the village headman.

On our last morning before returning to Bangkok, we inquired with the staff at "Nam Pad".

Are there any viewpoints here where I can see the sea of mist without having to hike? Haha.

In conclusion, there is a scenic viewpoint called **Phu Kradueng Viewpoint** located along the route to Ban Wang Nam Ton, which we passed yesterday.

Although I didn't find what I was looking for on the day I went, I enjoyed the scenic mountain views and the refreshing cool breeze.

On the way back to Bangkok, I drove past the **Thung Salaeng Luang National Park**, so I stopped by to take a look and take some photos as a souvenir.

It is said that this is the largest teak tree in the world, with an estimated age of at least 1,500 years.

And so, this trip ended with a memorable impression of another tourist attraction in Uttaradit Province.

My search for information about Amphoe Nam Pat in Uttaradit Province on the internet yielded very few results, particularly regarding community tourism opportunities.

Upon inquiring with the villagers, it became apparent that most visitors merely stop over for the night before continuing their journey elsewhere. Tourism is not a significant activity in this area.

This is a major and fascinating attraction here. I heard that many people visited last year.

If you are passing by or interested, feel free to stop by and visit.

In my opinion, Nam Pad is a charming and captivating place. This village is nestled amidst a valley, making it a truly unique and picturesque destination.

Featuring charming old houses perfect for sightseeing and photography, surrounded by picturesque mountains. The peaceful atmosphere offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Ideally suited for relaxation and self-rejuvenation, this destination offers much more than just a stopover.

Promoting the development of stylish and attractive homestays could make this location another popular tourist destination in Uttaradit Province.

This guarantees a significant increase in tourist arrivals.

I hope this review will be informative and beneficial to friends who are interested in traveling to natural and community-based destinations.
