During the long winter break, all I can think about is traveling. I want to pack my bags and experience the cool weather again. And I'll take you on some exciting activities that will make your heart race.
This trip, we will introduce you to lovely accommodations that come with an adventurous experience, including 5 check-in points in Khao Kho:
1. Khao Kho Windmill Farm (21 km from Phu Kaew Resort) #Khao Kho Landmark
2. Pha Sorn Kaew Temple (8.7 km from Phu Kaew Resort) *A must-visit destination
3. Piney Bistro Cafe (approximately 200 meters from Wat Pha Sorn Kaew)
** 4. Route 12 (3 km from the resort) **
5. Wildfire Control Unit (4.5 km from the resort, same direction as Route 12)
Let's take a look at the accommodation first. On this trip, we stayed at Phukaew Resort & Adventure Park.
Khao Kho > The highlight of this place is probably the amusement park with plenty of thrilling rides!!! + lovely accommodation in various styles and a panoramic viewpoint offering 360-degree views.
Note: The original text is empty, so the translation is also empty.
A five-hour drive from Bangkok will take you to the destination. The entrance is conveniently located on a major paved road, eliminating the need for a strenuous mountain climb.
Despite arriving, they still haven't checked in. They're too busy taking pictures of the beautiful view before reaching the lobby.
After checking in, I continued my routine and stopped to take some photos. The view here is like being in Switzerland. I really want to go there, but my budget doesn't allow it. I'll just have to make do with what I have for now.
And then it's finally time… to invite your girlfriend to your room (with a view like this, I guarantee she won't refuse). Woohoo! ; p
The Cliff Cabin (where we stayed) can accommodate 3 people and costs 5,000 baht (peak season price; the price is lower during the off-season). However, visiting Khao Kho during the hot season might not be enjoyable.
The mere sight of the path upwards fills me with joy. The sky is clear and the air is cool.
This section will be designed with a series of charming, cascading cottages nestled along the hillside, offering breathtaking panoramic views.
Let's take a look inside the room…
Approximately this much water ...
For friends or families who need a larger house, there is also the Paradise option. This is a twelve-panna-style house with two bedrooms that can accommodate four people. The price is 9,000 baht.

The view from the balcony is approximately like this: )
The final room we recommend is the Hillside Room, which can accommodate two guests. The price is 2,900 baht on weekdays and 3,500 baht on weekends.
This is the view from outside.
The Long-Awaited Arrival: Phukhaew Adventure Park
Phukhaew Adventure Park awaits, promising an exhilarating experience.
**For thrill-seekers, adventurers, and lovers of diverse experiences, this is the place to be! Immerse yourself in the cool atmosphere surrounded by mountains and let out your loudest screams!**
We arrived late, around 4:30 pm, so we only had time for a few things. However, they were the highlights of the day.
Our activities include: 1. High Flying: Zipline across the lake with a gentle 150-meter ride. (Price: 200 Baht)
2. Giant Swing: A thrilling 20-foot high swing that will leave you breathless as you soar through the air. (Price: 200 Baht)
Soaring High
First, put on protective clothing. ...
After finishing the beauty treatment, I walked to the skywalk, which is located behind the lake. I must say that the walk there was very relaxing. (I even took some pictures along the way... wait, let's get to the top first, you'll see!)
We have arrived at the top. Let's listen to the explanation for a moment and then allow the person next to us to take a deep breath and prepare themselves.
Approximately this length ...
And then the time came. After lamenting for about 5 minutes (until the staff member said, "Let's jump, shall we?" with a hint of exasperation, haha!),
In a flash, I arrived, but my heart sank into the water. Oops. >__<
I just realized I've gained weight when I saw the picture of myself swinging. I look like a pendulum swinging back and forth.
Don't relax just yet after finishing this one, it's still a bit light. The next one has more thrills!
Giant Swing
Remember playing on swings as a kid? It's kind of like that, but on a swing where you have to stand and hold on, swinging back and forth at a height of 20 feet. Just imagine the size!
This is the size of the swing ... and we have to stand and hold the rope to swing.
To determine the severity of the swing, please refer to the image provided.
Not even close! (high-pitched voice) I almost swiped again. 555+
As they descended, they were powerless to act... except to shout loudly and flash a smile for the cameras (even though their hearts might have been breaking).
Imagine swinging so high that your feet never touch the ground, just kicking the cool air. Hehehe.
Wait for it to stop swinging, then go play on the top one (this last one is the most thrilling).
Tower Jump
This is the most thrilling experience ever… (or so they say). But in reality, it is truly thrilling. It's similar to the feeling of jumping off a building, like freefalling from a height of about four stories.
The appearance after falling... I don't need to tell you, it's a mess!!! - -*
Those above and those below could only offer encouragement and laughter.
The platform will bounce up and down for a while before coming to a stop. Once it has stopped, you can safely remove the safety harness. (Staff will be on hand to assist you, so there is no need to worry.)
For those interested in other types of activities, there are also options such as the 5-base rope adventure (climbing the net wall, ziplining, balancing, etc.), Mountain Speed Luge (driving down the 800m mountain without an engine), canoeing, rock climbing, white water rafting, Air Ball (rolling around in a ball on the water), and many more. See more here.
Okay, here is the translation of the sentence:
Exhausted after playing… I can't drive anywhere anymore. My hands and legs are shaking slightly, so I'll just eat at the accommodation.
Upon arrival, we ordered food. While waiting for the food, we took in the romantic atmosphere. Don't you agree?
Let's talk about the food... I'll only recommend my favorite dishes : ) I'm the type of person who orders the same thing over and over again. If something is delicious, I keep eating it, haha. So I haven't tried many dishes. *The restaurant here is delicious, it's like a food court. I stayed there for 2 nights and saw many people holding events there.*
Shabu shabu... the real pleasure lies in the rich, flavorful broth and the tender pork. On a cold day, the warmth from the pot is simply divine. A perfect 10!
Recommended menu: Crispy chicken basket, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. You must try it!
And lastly, I don't know what it's called, but it's like stir-fried noodles with egg and braised pork. The pork is incredibly tender. This is a must-order!
It's a bit messy, as I had already taken a bite because it was so delicious. I grabbed my camera to take a picture to share (I don't usually review food, I always finish it before I can! 555+).
**Another must-see highlight at Phu Khao is the panoramic viewpoint on the mountain in the resort, where you can enjoy the breathtaking sunset.**
Panoramic Viewpoint @ Phu Khao Resort
This viewpoint might be a bit tiring to climb, but the view is definitely worth it. The panoramic view stretches all the way to the Khao Kho wind turbines. The path is easy to walk, no climbing required. They have built stairs for easy access. The rest depends on your leg strength, haha.
Here's a picture of the stairs (I took this one on the way down).
Let's enjoy the view… It's best to arrive around 4:00 PM, almost 5:00 PM. You can walk around and take pictures comfortably. You can also sit and wait to watch the beautiful sunset.
The wind turbines you see in the distance on the top of the hill are the Khao Kho wind turbines.
The surrounding views are like this + the cool air is amazing.
And then the long-awaited moment arrived… This is the kind of view you get, worth the climb, wouldn't you say? : )
The sun will set soon, but there is still time to take some relaxing photos before it gets dark. (Don't stay until it's dark, as there doesn't seem to be any light there. It's better to take photos on the way back down after you're done taking photos. It's safer and more beautiful.)
Location: Phu Kaew Resort Adventure Park is conveniently located on the main road between Phitsanulok and Lom Sak, in Kamphaeng San Subdistrict, Khao Kho District.

Accommodation settled, let's explore nearby attractions! : )
If you're looking for a place to visit, check out these options based on your interests. You can type the names into Google Maps and drive there.
1. Khao Kho Windmill Farm (21 km from Phu Kaew Resort) * Khao Kho Landmark
The first stop is the Khao Kho Windmill Farm, which we highly recommend! We believe it has a fantastic atmosphere and is a must-see landmark in Khao Kho. Situated at an altitude of approximately 1050 meters above sea level, it offers stunning views. Parking is available in front, and a tram service is available for 40 baht per person to explore the area.
We did not enter the building. We were so busy taking pictures outside that we got tired and did not go inside.
This is called a "Mhong formula," and it costs 50 baht. It's used for smooth downhill driving.
2. Wat Pha Sorn Kaew (8.7 km from Phu Kaew Resort) *Another must-visit landmark
This temple is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, as it is surrounded by a sea of mist and perched atop a mountain. It is also known for its unique decoration, which incorporates a variety of colorful tiles, glass, silver and gold, and ceramics. (It is highly recommended to visit this temple.)
3. Piney Bistro Cafe (approximately 200 meters from Wat Pha Sorn Kaew)
A cozy coffee shop with stunning views, perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee and snapping some photos. Easily accessible on foot, no need to drive.
Route 12 (3 km from the resort)
This charming cafe and restaurant, located near the resort, evokes a nostalgic atmosphere with its retro design. It offers souvenirs and stunning views, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and photography.
This photo was taken from inside a yellow car. They sell wooden plaques for writing commemorative messages, which you can take home.
This horse isn't fierce at all, but it looks a bit pitiful. It's a little thin and is just nibbling on the grass (the grass is really sparse).
5. Wildfire Control Unit at Phetchabun 2, Thung Salaeng Luang (4.5 km from the resort, same direction as Route 12)
This point is located opposite the Gakka coffee shop (you will see a giant turtle statue on the opposite side, turn right there). This spot is a popular location for pre-wedding photoshoots (we didn't know this ourselves, but we stopped for a quick bite at the restaurant across the street and were told about it, so we decided to check it out).
The view is mostly trees, but it has a cool vibe in its own way. (If you have some time to spare and want to take some photos, feel free to stop by. There's no entrance fee.)
When we went, there were two couples taking pre-wedding photos. This place has a great artistic vibe. If you're looking to take some cool and stylish photos, be sure to check it out! :)
This trip was amazing! I ate so much that I gained weight, haha. Next trip, I'm planning to go north. See you then!
