This trip to Khao Kho, we stayed at Khaokho Boutique Camps, a unique glamping experience that offers the comfort of a hotel with the charm of camping.

While the accommodations are tents, they are far from your average camping fare. The spacious tents boast plush bedding, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. Each tent can accommodate up to four guests, making it ideal for families or groups of friends.

This is our second time staying here. The first time was at the end of last year.

We arrived at the campsite a little late today, almost at dusk, because we stopped to buy pork, mushrooms, ducks, and chickens for tonight's camping.

Dishes, pots, pans, and basins are available for loan here.


The night air was extremely cold.

I was worried that the tent wouldn't hold up, so I wrapped myself in a thick blanket. After a while, I started to sweat. The tent was very warm.


In the morning, there will be a service of "e-taek" (a kind of local transportation) to take you to the viewpoint from 5 am to wait for the sunrise.

They charge 100 baht per person. You can go or not, it's up to you.

But go ahead, trust us, you won't be disappointed.

The observation deck now also has a wind turbine field, offering a close-up view. The scenery is breathtaking, making it hard to leave.

Time flies when you're having fun.

Khao Kho without fog is also beautiful in its own way.

If you're lucky, you might even see a panoramic sea of fog when you reach the viewpoint.
