The starting point of this trip is the beautiful pictures of many people. After reading many articles and looking at beautiful pictures and information, I thought I had to travel to see the beauty of "Erawan National Park". But during the hot season until the beginning of the rainy season, I heard that the park had a problem with low water, so I put my travel plans on hold. I just realized it a few weeks ago.

After finishing work and returning to my accommodation on Friday night, I thought I would go to Erawan Waterfall the next Saturday. At almost midnight, I packed my bags, charged my camera battery, and tripod ready for the trip immediately. I planned to conquer all seven levels of the waterfall on a day trip and travel by public transport.

When Saturday morning arrived, I started my journey by BTS to Victory Monument station at around 7.30 am. Hoping to easily find a crowd of vans for traveling to various places. But unfortunately, I didn't follow the news that the government had reorganized all van services around Victory Monument to be located at various transportation points, such as the Southern Bus Terminal (old), Mo Chit Bus Terminal, and Ekkamai Bus Terminal instead. So I would like to remind everyone again to study the travel information for the place you are going to again. Be careful not to waste time like me 55

Therefore, I had to take a bus to continue to the old Southern Bus Terminal, which added almost an hour to my travel time.
But in the end, I got on a van. Bangkok - Kanchanaburi Bus Terminal of Happy company for 100 baht. Departed at around 8.45 am and arrived at Kanchanaburi Bus Terminal at around 10.45 am.

Then we had to rush to buy a bus ticket from Kanchanaburi to Erawan for 50 baht. The bus will be like this: -

Is there anything else I can help you with?

For your convenience, I have created a sample itinerary for those who are planning a trip. This will help you plan your travel time and return accurately.

The journey takes approximately 2.30 hours by car, allowing for a leisurely and scenic drive, enjoying the surrounding nature and the river.

Upon arrival at the park entrance, park rangers will sell entrance tickets. Ticket prices are detailed below.

Thai to English

Admission Fee:

  • Thai citizens: 50 baht for children, 100 baht for adults.
  • Students with valid ID receive a 50% discount.

Foreigners: Children 200 baht, Adults 300 baht.

Upon arriving at the park, it was time to embark on our journey to witness the stunning waterfalls. I began my hike at 12:30 PM. It's important to note that access to the 5th waterfall onwards is only permitted until 3:30 PM (if I recall correctly). After that, park officials will gradually guide visitors to descend. Therefore, for those aiming to conquer all 7 levels, it's crucial to plan your timing carefully to avoid disappointment.

The Erawan Waterfall has a total of 7 tiers, as shown in the image below.

After walking for a while, we will arrive at the first level of the waterfall, "Returning to the Nest". For those who are too lazy to walk from the starting point, the park has golf carts available to transport you to this point. However, the service fee is likely around 30 baht per person.

I spent a considerable amount of time admiring the scenery and capturing memorable photos. As this was one of the lower levels, there were a fair number of tourists stopping to play in the water, rest, and even take naps.

Continuing our journey, we encountered the breathtaking beauty of the second waterfall, "Wuang Matcha" (not to be confused with a fashion model).

Permission is requested from the person.

The image captures the moment when I set up the camera and she entered the frame. It is said to be the most beautiful waterfall among the seven levels, and many people come here to play and relax in the water.

This is a real fish palace. The water is crystal clear.

After walking a short distance, we encountered the breathtaking sight of the third tier of the waterfall, "Pha Namtok," rather than the mythical serpent goddess Nang Nak or Kham Kaew.

Personally, I find the beauty of the waterfall in this layer to be the most captivating. In my opinion, it is the most stunning.

A 20 baht deposit is required for water bottles brought onto the park grounds from the second floor onwards. This deposit serves as a reminder to avoid littering within the park.

After a long walk, I finally reached the fourth waterfall, "Nang Phi Sua's Chest." In fact, I had already passed this waterfall, as well as the fifth and sixth, earlier in the day. My goal was to reach the top waterfall before the time limit, so I wouldn't miss the chance to conquer all seven levels.

This image captures the descent from the seventh floor during the test run. This floor is popular among tourists who enjoy the waterfall slide.

We continued our journey from the 4th floor to the 5th floor, taking a long break before we arrived at the 5th floor waterfall, "Bored Not Down". I wonder if we were bored not down when we arrived at this floor because of the fatigue or the beauty of the waterfall. Haha.

A few butterflies flitted by.

English:

From the 5th floor onwards, the number of tourists thins out, but there are still some to be seen.

As we approach 3:30 PM, it's time to pick up the pace to reach the final level before the time limit. On our way from the 5th level to the 6th waterfall, we will encounter several smaller waterfalls offering stunning views and memorable moments.

Though small, this waterfall boasts remarkable beauty.

Taking photos at every single spot.

We finally reached the sixth waterfall, "Dong Phruksa," where the lush greenery was truly breathtaking.

From the path on the 6th level, as you walk to the 7th level waterfall, there are still some beautiful small waterfalls where you can walk and take pictures.

The final and seventh tier of the waterfall, "Phu Pha Erawan," boasts stunning turquoise waters. However, due to time constraints, I was unable to capture further images to share.

After admiring the beauty of all seven levels of the waterfall, it was time to descend. At 3:30 p.m., whistles were blown at various points along the trail, signaling us to begin our descent from the waterfall and walk down to the lower level.

I arrived at the Kanchanaburi - Erawan National Park bus stop just in time for the last bus at 5:00 PM. I then took the 6:30 PM minivan back to Bangkok, arriving safely at 10:00 PM. I hope this information is helpful for your travel planning.

In closing, I bid you farewell with this image.
