Hello everyone!

Presenting Ubon Ratchathani: A Tourist's Paradise Through the Eyes of a Lost Student

This trip offered me the opportunity to experience the remarkable civilization of Isan. By "lost," I mean captivated by the authentic Isan culture. Ubon Ratchathani is truly a city worth exploring.

Let's dive right in. I was fortunate enough to participate in a competition at Ubon Ratchathani University. During my free time, I couldn't resist the urge to explore the city.

My journey began with a 10-hour train ride, transforming me into a veritable zombie. (Note: This trip took place on December 21, 2016.)

We took a car from the university to Rangsit Railway Station to catch a train.

Due to ongoing renovations at the train station, passengers were required to wait for their train along the walkway.

As we arrived early, we had plenty of time to take photos.

While waiting for the electric car, everyone must have snacks on hand, which is considered to be a good use of time.

The atmosphere at the train station is typically like this.

Waiting for one bus after another.

And finally, it's our time.

Upon boarding the train, everyone fell asleep as if they had never slept before. The air during the journey was pleasantly cool, turning cold upon arrival. I woke up four or five times before reaching our destination. All we could do was endure the long journey.

Upon arrival at the accommodation, we participated in a morning merit-making ceremony.

During the waiting period for the competition, there were trips to Pha Taem, Sai Ngam Waterfall, and Pa Phu Prao Temple.

The most striking feature of the temple at night is the luminescence of the stones (not captured in the photograph). Even more remarkable is the image above, where we used a flash to write characters on the stones.

The atmosphere of the temple at night.

In another corner of the temple in the morning.

On the way to Pha Taem.

It is extremely hot.

Capture moments regardless of the weather.

Proceed to the Sornsawan Waterfall.

The atmosphere is very relaxing. I would like to add that there is a flower field at the top of the waterfall.

This trip is truly a life-changing experience, especially with friends.

Note: There may be only a few pictures, but in my heart, there are precious memories of the scent of Isan.

See you on the next trip! :)
