This trip took place in mid-December, but I've only just had the time to share it with you all. Inspired by the travel photos of friends on Facebook, I was torn between chasing the mist-shrouded mountains and diving into the ocean. My body was begging for an adventure, so I decided to make it happen. But was it possible to experience both the mist-covered mountains and the ocean in just one day off work? I opted for a nearby destination, Phang Nga province. Despite concerns about catching the boat on time, we decided to go for it. After all, when you're on vacation, you have to go all out, especially when you're traveling with four friends!
03.00 a.m. Ring ring ring ring ring: Hey, wake up! We meet in half an hour... Beep.
03:30 a.m.: The car arrived in front of the house exactly on time (when it comes to traveling with friends, he is always punctual, but don't ask about other things). We departed from Phuket to the Tung Maphrao Subdistrict Administrative Organization office in Phang Nga Province, which took approximately one hour.
04:30 AM: We arrived at the Tung Maphrao Administrative Organization as the first group, as we had scheduled a pick-up with the first bus at 5:00 AM. We had a little time to refresh ourselves before the bus arrived to pick us up (bus fare 150 baht, venue maintenance fee 20 baht).
5:30 a.m.: The car took us to the Khai Nui Viewpoint. We loved it because we didn't have to walk to see the sea of mist. However, the stars were incredibly beautiful at that time. (The picture doesn't do it justice, but it was truly stunning.)
Before sunrise, we had a light breakfast prepared by a friend who came to our house from home. However, there is also a restaurant on the viewpoint that serves food, so we ordered a set of Chinese crullers.
06.00 a.m. : After recharging, we walked back to the viewpoint to wait for the sunrise. The thin fog gradually thickened, accompanied by faint sunlight. Let's see how much fog we will be able to see today. Oh, I forgot to mention that the weather is not cold, but there is a cool breeze that complements the atmosphere of the sea of fog.
The mist slowly drifted in.
6:20 a.m.: The sun rises, the fog thickens, and it's time to start clicking those shutters.
This simple act fills me with joy, making it all worth waking up at 3 am. Haha!
The area is very crowded, especially on weekends.
07.30 a.m. : After being captivated by the breathtaking sea of mist, it was time to return to our next destination for the day: "Similan Islands".
See you again at "Khao Khainui".
07.50 a.m.: The journey continues to Thap Lamu Pier in Phang Nga Province, which is only 20 minutes away from Thung Maphrao Subdistrict Administrative Organization.
08:10 a.m.: We arrived at the Fantastic Similan Travel pier as the first group. At first, I thought we wouldn't make it to the boat on time, but we did! 555
Upon arrival, we checked in, received our wristbands, signed the accident waiver, and selected our masks and fins (free of charge, no rental required).
For those who do not drive themselves, the tour will provide transportation to and from your accommodation.
My stomach is growling again (already), as if I haven't eaten anything at all. 555 After exploring, I found out that they offer a full breakfast here. I had the stir-fried noodles first, which were delicious, and I ate two plates without even thinking about the boat ride. Then I had some chicken congee. I was going to skip it, but... "Auntie, one bowl of congee, please." I'm not sure if I came here to visit or to eat. For those who don't want anything heavy, there are also bread with jam, tea, coffee, and fruit juice.
The Fantastic Similan Travel team is almost entirely composed of transgender women who are always ready to pose for photos.
Before boarding the boat, the guide, Kaka, provided a brief introduction. Afterwards, the guide escorted us to the boat.
09:00 a.m.: Today, we were accompanied by our guide, Kaka, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. We embarked on a lengthy boat ride, and I preferred sitting at the bow, basking in the sun.
(Most of our fellow travelers were Westerners, while Chinese tourists would be separated into different groups.)
Our first destination is Koh Mieng, also known as Koh Si. The journey from the pier takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Fortunately, the sea is calm. I'm going to take a quick nap on the way. I'm exhausted!
I woke up and it was almost there. Wow, are we there already? I suddenly feel so much more energetic.
We were among the first tour groups to arrive on the island, so it wasn't crowded. We could walk and take photos on the beach without any problems.
The sight of the crystal-clear seawater always sends my heart racing.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
10:30 AM: After arriving at Koh Miang, the guide Gaga suggested we walk to the other side of the island, which is "Princess Beach." Koh Miang has two beaches, the one where the boat arrives is "Honeymoon Beach." We were scheduled to have lunch at 11:20 AM.
A 10-minute walk will take us to the princess.
Tents are available for rent at the Princess Beach. Reservations can be made through the park's website.
Truly heartwarming (as my friend Paran said).
Time flies! It's almost time for lunch. We'll be punctual for our meal.
11:20 a.m.: Upon returning to Honeymoon Beach, the tour operator had everything prepared. The buffet lunch was exceptional, with a variety of flavorful dishes.
Before eating, the guides of Fantastic Similan were very ordinary. This trip was very satisfying.
We were so full that we forgot to take pictures at Honeymoon Beach because every meal was important. Haha. 12:00 a.m.: After finishing two large plates, the guide called us to gather at the same place to continue diving.
The boat took approximately 5 minutes to reach our first diving spot. The guide allowed 45 minutes for diving at this location. For those who cannot swim, there is a towing service available. The boat staff is always available to assist and can take photos for you. Most importantly, they provide excellent care for all tour participants.
At this point, I completely forgot about the sleepiness from waking up at 3 am. I couldn't help it anymore. I left my camera on the boat, grabbed my GoPro, and jumped right in!
The fish are abundant and incredibly beautiful, even though the coral reefs are not in pristine condition.
Brother Mo is everywhere 5555 wiggling around.
Behold the crystal-clear waters of Similan, an island renowned for its world-class beauty. This is the epitome of pristine paradise.
After 45 minutes, our guide Kaka instructed us to board the boat as we were heading to another diving spot, "Koh Kao or Koh Bangu." It is said that this location is teeming with fish.
It only takes 10 minutes to reach Koh Kao from the starting point.
The guide instructed us to play in the water for another 45 minutes, and then it was time to jump in again.
There are more fish here than at the previous spot.

Hello again, Mo. : )
Personally, I really like this picture.
Time flies when you're having fun. Glancing at my watch, I realize that 45 minutes have almost passed. It's time to board the boat and head to our next destination: Koh Paed, also known as Koh Similan.
This year, they're celebrating with Pantip.com. 55555
Here is a photo of Maekhaning from a trip to Ang Khang.
02.00 p.m. : The boat departs from Koh Kiu to Koh Paed or Koh Similan. By this time, I was very tired. If you want to travel like us, I recommend getting plenty of rest so you have the energy to explore.
The iconic wind-shaped rock of Koh Paed. It's said that if you visit the island and don't take a picture with it, it's like you never went at all. (Though who said that remains a mystery.)
After disembarking from the boat, the guide set a meeting time and suggested that we walk up to the Sail Rock viewpoint above. Alternatively, we could swim at the beach, whichever we preferred. We looked at each other, thinking, "Are we really going to climb up there? Isn't it tiring?" "Let's go up once so we can talk about it with others," someone said. Others chimed in with similar sentiments. In the end, we all went up, laughing.
The ascent is partially wooden, with sections requiring careful navigation over rocks and through narrow passages. The potential for congestion during peak periods is a cause for concern.
Upon reaching the summit, the breathtaking view was worth every step. The group couldn't resist capturing the moment with their cameras.
Let's take a quick photo and then head down to the water for some fun!
Fantastic Similan Travel offers a mermaid tail rental service for women who want to take photos. The tails come in a variety of colors and are free of charge.
03:00 p.m.: The guide called us to board the boat. This trip was not only about the beauty of nature, but also about the unforgettable experience we had with the Fantastic Similan Travel team, who took great care of us throughout the journey. We believe that many people share the same feeling as us. We love them!
"Similan" If we have the chance, we will come back again.
04.20 p.m. : We arrived at the port safely, but I don't need to tell you how exhausted I was.
The port offers complimentary snacks before departure, including two cups of ice cream. This perk definitely helped to ward off drowsiness.
Another trip completed, two seas in one day. Although it was a bit tiring, at least the trip was able to give my body the energy to continue working.
My apologies if my storytelling skills are lacking and my writing is difficult to understand.
I appreciate everyone who followed along, and I'm impressed that you made it to the end!
I'll leave you with this image for now, and I'll see you on the next trip.
